I listen to music on the computer like Youtube,Grooveshark and Pandora, the reason why i don't want to steal an artist music i feel it's Disrespectful because because an artist works really hard to make a song and they put so much effort in it and if it someone just goes in steal your music it's like a slap in the face. Now legal music downloading is fine because your supporting the artist but it's too much money and album on itunes cost about 10 bucks and song costs about 99c - $1.29.
i'm currently working on a college assignment on the affect the Internet has had on the Music Industry (positive, negative including statistics) and I've been looking for explanatory videos rather than opinion videos and this is exactly what I was looking for!
Although I did have to re-listen to some parts because you were talking quite fast, after reading the comment about it being filmed in a hurry and you having a cold I can understand this.
I wrote about the main internet sites and services that have affected the music industry. EG, Myspace, Youtube, iTunes, Napster and illegal downloading.
There's a very good essay on the net that I found helpful, if you just type into google 'Influence of internet on music industry' and it's the first result.
Yeah - filmed in a hurry while struggling with a heavy summer cold. (My) students found the information really useful but the presentation is dull to say the least but it did the job a far as they were concerned. Like a lot of my videos I don't make them private but they're not aimed at a wider audience. By the way - I like some of your favorite videos - you have good taste. Phil.
this youtube myspace culture is destroying art and its importance to culture. The internet, despite its many benefits, has taken music backwards. It is quite sad. Read Andrew Keen's "the Cult of the amateur. how today's internet is killing our culture." great book with very valid points.
They can write all the software they like,.. theres always a way around it.
