  • Great job :)

  • Animals adapt very well to handicaps. As long as it isn't in pain, it can be just as happy as a fully functional cat. Unlike us humans, they don't worry about how they look, and they don't think about what limitations they have.

  • this video is wheeley good!

  • i have a question. i just got a 6 week old kitten and our dog parriled her. i was wondering how does one take care of a kieen with such needs

  • @luvappl4peace You should not have a 6 week old kitten. It should have remained with it's mother for at least 8 weeks, ideally 10. She should not be around your dog at that age unless she is VERY closely watched. Since she is now injured, she needs to be checked out and if she is ok other than her back legs not working then she will need a proper fitting cart. Also you will need to check her often to make sure she isn't developing any sores. Wash her with a damp cloth if needed.

  • Thank you for being so caring and loving to this little one. Thank you to for sharing this video.

  • kid: come here kitty!

    cat:shut up im coming dumbass!!

  • how does the cat feel today??

  • Thats a box.

  • Precious. =)

  • simple design, but very nice solution. your cat is able to move around and interact with your familly. good job and keep the love for your little dear one high

  • Since she's totally paralyzed, that's a good design. No straps around the body to contribute to pressure sores, because it looks well-padded since she can't feel to shift her weight. Do you message her lower body to keep the circulation going?

  • aww i love that! we did the same thing with a 6wk old kitten that i have that was paralyzed when my nephew accidently shut him in a door. i took the kitten in and made her a little cart.

  • She looks great! And caught a mouse, wow! Im sure she is happy and very lucky.

    Thank you for your care.

  • "KIKIIIKITTYYKIKKIKIKIKTTYYYYYY" - lol

    but cute kityy : )

  • I like this design better than those "coo" wheel chairs.

I wonder if their would be a way for the cat the be able to get in and out themselves - that would be the ultimate design.

  • Normally I would agree, however, I have been living with her. Her yearly checks with the vet show her to be very healthy otherwise. She can pull herself up on the furniture, look out the window, play with toys (the only one of my cats who does actually), catch mice and climb up on the kitty condo to attack anyone who happens to walk by. She is by far the happiest of my three cats. Because she was so young when it happened, she doesn't know she is paralyzed.

  • @jillowolf While I agree with you for the most part, a cat can be happy being disables, I think she knows she's paralized, I mean one doesn't go, "Oh my legs don't move, but everyone else does, must be normal." It might not affect her or cause her any discomfort, but that's different from not knowing.

  • @SireniUltimatum Just like with people, if you give them the opportunity to be active they will gladly accept any extra work it might take to learn to use a cart. Yes, pets need mental stimulation, too. That's why it's up to you as the owner to make sure they are given extra care and attention (a cart actually helps with this). Euthanasia should be a last resort- when all other attempts to keep the pet happy, clean and fed are not working and after discussing other options with a vet.

  • poor kitty heel never jump again D;

  • Sorry but ... this is not normal!

  • one of my kittens was like that but as he got older he learned to walk. it was really sad.:'(

  • this is exactly how my cat is she broke her back legs from falling out of a huge tree the ets said she was healthy but said she may last 6 mths but that was 7 yrs ago im glad ive found this video it will be perfect 4 mine!much apreciated ive been running out of ideas on how 2 help her the wheel chairs r so expensive

  • We live in the woods, and our cats are in and out all the time. This week our youngest came home with a broken back. He is paralyzed, and we are looking at wheelchairs...but the cost is nuts. This is a great alternative. Thanks for the video.

  • I don't see the problem with cats going outside doing what animals do. My cats love going outside and if they get in a confrontation, that's just nature taking its course. They hang around the house for the most part and don't go far except for out back in the trees.

  • This is one of the best cat wheel chairs I have seen. did you make it? Usually I see them with wheels and a bunch of metal and the cats dont like them very much. This kitty seems just fine with this. Please can you give me some tips on how to make one? I want to make one in case I ever have to help a disabled cat because I help homeless cats. You might even be able to make some money selling these. The metal wheel chair ones are so expensive.

  • omg i am crying after this this is soo sad i am literally crying my eyes out

  • It's ok, don't cry =). This happens to many cats and thanks to kind humans they are able to get the help they need. Its so sad when it happens but a blessing when humans help them.

  • That really is the saddest thing I've ever, ever seen.

  • Yes, very sad this animal has to endure this because its owner let it out.

Why don't all of these miserable fucks just keep their fucking animals indoors. Christ, so many tragedies for almost a century and dumb asses still haven't gotten the idea.

I think it's time they require a license to own an animal.

  • @Duckler163: Because cats have been roaming outside for THOUSANDS of years perfectly fine without humans. There are feral cats all over the place that are no different from "indoor" cats besides the simple fact that domestic cats are provided for. Frankly I think it's cruel to deprive animals of the outdoors. I don't let my cats outside unattended because I live in a city, but when I visit my family in the country side my cats love nothing more than to run and play outside.

  • Hi my friends! . What a wonderful case about Tiny. God Blessed you for take care of her so well. I had seen too Alera´s Vids. Sadly he died one moth ago. Please update for us about Tiny and how is her day by day. She seems don´t have urinary problem, that´s usually with these kitties. Thanks God!. (Sorry my english!. I´m spanish). Take care all. Hugs for you and Tiny!. CatsofBodom´s mom.

  • I have seen a dog with wheels. It was a rack/pedestal, strapped around his body at the end. They can take it off in the evening when he go asleep. And its no handicap for him!

  • This is a wonderful idea. It's more difficult to fit cats with wheels than dogs, but it gets her around and that's all that counts.

  • Shame on you....

Would you do the same to someone in a wheelchair ???

    Think about it! >8(

  • dude, of course I would not do the same to a person in the wheel chair. its a cat dude. you cant compare a cat to a human.

cats eat sleep and poo. Im not going let it suffer like that. My dog is going crippled and when he cant walk any more, he has to die. Its cruel to buy him a wheel chair.

  • exactly. why do people think their animals are happy by dragging a box or wheels around? the poor thing is probably saying "please, somebody kill me"!

  • I dunno bout this...Paralyze doesn't mean their life is over.Disabled animals sometimes shows us they can bounce back to life and seems like they don't care about their handicaps at all.I don't think the cat wants his life to end just like that!

  • wow if ever need a wheel chair i'll make one. this is the best design cause it takes the weight and pressure off the "working" legs.

  • aw what an amazing kitty! :)

    xx

  • Thank you for posting this! My husband is going to build one for our 7 mo. old kitten Harry who lost the use of his hind legs yesterday (we don't know why). Seems more comforable & economical than a traditional pet wheelchair.

  • lauriellaugh: Depends on what you want out of it... something like this provides mobility, the little wheelchairs can also help retrain weak (as oppose to paralysed) limbs to get the animal walking on their own again.

  • rofl

  • thats so sad, but im happy to see her doing well

  • Oh Tiny is so frickin cute! What happened to her?

  • Dear friend, thanks for your love to the our little brothers. You have good heart. God bless your family and your sweet Tiny.

  • Very good thought.

  • Thats a good idea.

  • Likewise, hyperion. No one will care if you break your back.

  • Aww kitty T_T...Makes me think twice about complaining of my aches and pains.

  • Thank goodness Tiny can still use her arms. What a blessing. =)

  • It has now been nearly 4 months since Tiny's accident. She is getting along beautifully and even caught a mouse yesterday. She is very playful and otherwise very healthy.

  • I was thinking exactly the same! Poor Alera isnt well at the moment he has a urine infection poor boy. I also found another kitty called Forrest with a similar disabili aty. Its wonderful to see people caring for these animals and helping them to enjoy their lives.

  • Aww, what a cutie! Have you seen ngothyeaun's videos of Baby Alera? Tiny looks like she has the same difficulty moving as Alera.
