This is Al's song it never made any sense why Mike Love got to sing the lead. Al sings it way better. Great to see Ed Carter on bass and I believe that's Bobby Figueroa back there on drums two band former Beach Boy band members that can be seen on the Live at Knebworth concert!
What a great version, listening to the author read from his own writiings. Fave!

Very cool! I hadn't heard that song since the 70s. Enjoyed this rendition with Al Jardine and members of Tripsitter :)

...and Billy Hinsche (keyboards), Richie Cannatta (sax), and Matt Jardine (percussion) too!

Ed Carter on bass and Bobby Figueroa on drums! Are you sure this isn't the 1970s Beach Boys minus 4 members?

I know Al wrote this song but I like the way Mike sings it better.
