  • sorry america, but u cant beat german cars & german technology, i might be faster than ///AMG or ///M3 in straight line, but in corners NO CHANCE, german car will remain better than american cars anyday

  • @mooazz

Almost agree with you, American SUV and Pickup Trucks are better than German ones

  • @irbk500 Good point, but the G55 /// AMG is comparing to which american SUV ?

  • 270-hp! Rear-wheel drive!!! Now all it needs to complete the picture is a V-badge at the end of the name and a V8 from the upcoming Corvette C7.

  • @SergeantVeteran big sarge they may just go with whats selling. the big barrell of oil burner v8s arent as popular any more. a turbo v6 is what the youngings want to buy and that is the target area of this "small" cadillac. the Grown ups have the cts-v. but a turbo of that vvt v6 3.7 could easily produce horsepower in the 420 range. thank you for your service.

  • It looks good although a bit too bulky.

  • ATS-V -- Corvette V8, please, no blown V6.

  • I thought the XTS was supposed to compete with the 7 Series, and the CTS was supposed to compete with the 5 series. The CTS is about the same size as the 5 Series, is offered in manual, has about the same power, yet costs almost thirty grand less than the 5 Series.

  • @Lufthansa631 You would be correct, on all of your points. CTS will be more directly able to fight 5 series they say after it goes through a refresh/redesign soon.

  • Wait.

I don't understand, so the ATS competes with the 3-series.

And the XTS competes with the 5-series.

Then where does the CTS fit in?

  • @RossEnzo That confused me as well since XTS is a FWD/AWD car not a RWD/AWD sport sedan. I think they are a little off there. I think XTS is more the 7series and the next CTS will be more directly competeing with the 5 series.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview hahahaha you're a straight up loser man.

  • @Bigtruckseriesreview this guy " bigtruckseriesreview" is a straight fucking loser. I always wondered why he goes ALL OVER the youtube videos on Cadillacs and leaves a negative comment every time. You are definitely too poor to own a Cadillac, and judging by how you spend your time- you're fuckin pathetic.

  • Can anybody guess the price for me?

  • I love the way this thing looks. I don't give a shit what you think about that.

  • I think they should wait until the 2013 BMW M3 comes out and use it to build the ATS-V like they did with the CTS-V and M5, and like Ford did with the Boss 302. That way they ensure they get the right combination of weight, power, balance, and fuel economy

  • @boramkiv i agree!, and i'm pretty sure that that's exactly the way it's gonna be. they'll wait for the M3 first, and then dish out an insane V for the ATS.

  • Where is the V8 ?

  • Diesel, Coupe... FTW!

  • Comment removed

  • Im buying the V right when it comes out. I cant wait. Honestly. I will upload vids.

  • Dear me! The car is LESS than 3,400 pounds! THAT'S BARELY HEAVIER THAN A ZR1! I cannot wait to see the ATS-V coming out to compete with the Corvette Zo6. And the V4 versions should be incredibly fuel efficient for it's kind. GM is releasing one of the best cars it had in decades, aside from the Cruze of course. If it was not for the Cruze, GM might have been bankrupt fully.

  • these cars just won't sell good in europe. These things are overloaded with plastic and cadillac always had weird handling. I believ they are improving, but I think they have a VERY long run before being able to compete with BMW, Audi, etc.

  • Nice

  • MOST LIKELY GOINT TO BE MADE IN CHINA FOR FKN CHINA!

  • @tootsiejoon why is that so funny?

  • @tootsiejoon yea, got a problem with that

  • @LegendofStalfos Sorry but GM is still designing/building crap cars. The ATS' styling is decent,I'll give them that but its still GM junk.I'll stick with Audi thank you very much!

  • @SuperRegal79 Do have any proof that they're building crap cars other than your own biased opinion? And the same could be said for Audi considering they're not exactly the most reliable brand out there

  • @SuperRegal79 your username is regal? a Buick car name? GM is bring out the best they have had in years. Im sensing a lot of bias since you apparently miss your '79 regal

  • What I don't get is why does everyone call the XTS "GM's answer to the BMW 5-series". Isn't that what the CTS is for? So that would make the XTS a BMW 7-series competitor, wouldn't it?

  • @themostoriginaluser

He's wrong about that, the CTS is already supposed to compete with the 5-series. Why they developed the front drive XTS when the entire Buick range exists is beyond me. I guess they slapped a luxury body on the Impala platform to act as their flagship until they have a true full size rear drive luxury car like the S-class or A8, which apparently is still a few years down the road.

  • @Stet17 Check out the Cadillac Ciel - that would be a serious 7 series or Rolls Royce competitor. Cadillac's interiors are so nice.

  • @AIwaysWatching Yes, Agreed and Agreed.

  • @AIwaysWatching

That is a badass looking car, but so far it's just a piece of artwork, it doesn't have any sort of drivetrain under it. If their full size flagship car is heavily based on it, it will be one sweet ride.

  • whats the difference between this and the cts?

  • @W0nTonSoup

ATS (Cruze based) smaller like BMW 3 series

CTS (Malibu based) mid sized like BMW 5 series

XTS (Impala based) full sized like BMW 7 series

  • @Blackgam3r The ATS, CTS and XTS are not based on any Chevrolet models. Where did you get that information from? Each one is completely different, inside, outside and under the metal.

The rest of your statement is just about right, although the XTS is somewhere in between the 5 Series and 7 Series.

  • @AutoTribute The XTS is based on the current Epsilon II platform, which was under the 2013 Malibu before the XTS.

  • @Elmo187 That's true, but even when using a similar platform, the XTS is a whole lot different than the Malibu. Moreover, the CTS and Malibu aren't based on the same platform, nor do the ATS and Cruze share a platform. The current Impala has almost nothing in common with the XTS.

The size comparison makes sense. Everything else, not so much...

  • @AutoTribute The upcoming next generation Impala will be based on the XTS's stretched Epsilon II platform. Funny thing is, the only thing not staying faithful to the Impala name is that it'll be FWD. This thing will be 202" in length alone. That's 2" longer than the current Impala.

GM should have kept the Zeta platform around so they could use it for the next generation Commodore and Impala, while keeping it away from the next generation Camaro.

  • @Elmo187 Ew thats disgusting.

  • @ATSV4ME What's disgusting?

  • @Blackgam3r The ATS IS NOT Cruze based. It's based on a new platform called the Alpha. It's a smaller RWD platform that will be used for more RWD models in the future, including the next generation Camaro.

The CTS IS NOT based on the Malibu's platform. It is based on the Sigma platform, which is under most of GM's RWD offerings. It is RWD, not FWD.

The XTS is based on a stretched version of the Malibu's Epsilon II platform, which actually will be seeing duty under the next generation Impala.

  • @Blackgam3r Xts isnt competeing with 7 series.

  • @ATSV4ME Not price wise. XTS should be RWD/AWD imo

  • @Blackgam3r Will be awd. Xts will get discontinued around 2014/15 imo.

  • @W0nTonSoup Size. It's likely to be a foot shorter than the CTS. There's also the engine options. The CTS doesn't come with any of those 4 bangers.

  • Looks good.

  • It would be nice to see the ATS-V have AWD and a launch control like the GT-R, the V should also have some 8 way power adjustable/ temp controled rear seats

  • I wish they would throw some cherrywood trim on the all black interior instead of the aluminum, but hey, that's just me...

  • @mista925 Agreed!

  • I'll take one, black on black.

  • I like this spec but not design!

  • They should definatly release the v series along side the regular models if anyone is going to take this car seriously.

  • the ats looks like a cts-v but with out the hood bump. i like it

  • lighter.around 3400 pounds supposedly . gonna be building the camaro on this platform (iffff thats still in the picture) ..so i see nothing but SICK things coming.

  • Really, 3.7LV-6.............

  • This is a win. It looks almost like a CTS only smaller in size.

  • ATS + AWD = Win! Looks like a great car!

  • Comment removed

  • It's nice to see another Cadillac with an available manual transmission, I hate GM but I would buy one of these

  • @97I30T :

ABSOLUTELY ....I WANT TO SEE MORE MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS IN THE USA!

  • This actually looks like a solid contender from GM in this class for the first time ever!

Lately the C class cars from BMW 3 series, and the Audi A4 have been getting FAT and sloppy in the handling department, we may have a surprise here when it comes to the most nimble, best handling car soon. I would have never thought it possible. But it is good because the Germans need to bring back the handling !

  • Caddy V vs Beamer M

Why does this sound like it should've happened earlier?

  • wish they had showed the car more, hope they know we are here to see the Cadillac ATS not him....

  • Compared to the new 3 series this looks like a diamond.

  • lol seems gm went a bit low budget on their reveal, but i do love the car its beautiful

  • This is a pornstar of a car!!!

  • Alistar Weaver is such a boss

  • for some reason, i've always thought of this as the 5 series competitor and the CTS as the 3 series. i guess my eyes are very good at determining sizes of vehicles in pictures.

  • can u said buick

  • So, what happens to the CTS if this competes with the 3series and the other battles the 5series...where does the CTS fit in?

  • Not bad. Can't wait for the comparisons. Although you know the journalists are going to favor the 3 Series. But give kudos for Caddy for really going for the throat. It will take generations to prove themselves against the Germans but this is a start.

  • SOYNTGO4IT per usual is trolling away on Roadfly and InsideLine videos.

  • @2003SCT Haha to bad I'm subscribed to them numb nutts

  • @soyntgo4it Once again....learn the difference between 'too' and 'to'. Your post should read, "Haha too bad...."

  • @2003SCT OMG someone is a childish TROLL seriously find something else to do this is getting way old..

  • @soyntgo4it Yes, this is getting old. We ought to be doing something else....something productive.

  • @2003SCT >: )

  • 2003SCT TROLL!

  • the front looks reslly nice, though the rear was born old ...

  • I'll be happy to take another look at GM when it produces a cabriolet version of their CTS(-V).

  • looks like a cts-v... they did not mind to make a new design

  • If they gave the standard ATS an available TT V6 with 330-350 hp and a V variant with 450+hp, Munich might get a little skurred.

  • Until performance numbers are established, I don't think BMW has anything to worry about. As improved as this car may be, I doubt it is going to have a chassis a good as the 3 series. No turbo 6 cylinder option would count me out.

  • @CanexicanEvo9MR the ATS V might have a twin turbo v6 with 450hp

  • All at taxpayer expense...when do we get our $30 Billion back!?

  • The BMW is best, end of story, maybe it isnt as good looking as it used to be, but as a whole, I think it is an excellent car.

  • @JLchevz BMW's are as reliable as a chocolate teapot.

  • if they make this cadi a waggon with manual in a heartbeat Ill ditch my bmw3 waggon for sure

  • i can see all the bugs crawling around in that vehicle

  • Let me clear things up:

ATS will compete with the 3 series.

The CTS competes against the 5 series.

The XTS is in a class of its own in between a 5 and 7 series.

And a new RWD flagship will compete against the 7 series.

  • @c3vzn XTS is in its own class? You mean the class that BMW, and Merc already have with the 5GT and CLS? GM is still playing catch up and these models are all grotesque.

  • @c3vzn Haha you're funny. None of those will compete on the track. Look how top heavy they are. All looks and "Specs" on a sheet that wont mean shit when it comes to the drag race, or circuit. Nice try

  • @c3vzn they need to focus on a high performance SRX and high performance Escalade trim level if they want to compete with M, AMG and RS

  • @UFCextra

There is no market for a V series Escalade. It would be a waste of money to develop one.

  • @c3vzn and AWD should be optional on ALL their performance models

  • @c3vzn

LET ME RECLEAR THINGS UP FOR YOU.

I purchased an STS for my mother and I used to own an ESCALADE EXT until I swaped it towards and S550. CADILLACS ARE NO MATCH FOR GERMAN CARS.

thing is, they have enough exterior STYLE to make their own marks in the segments. Buying a Cadillac is buying a name and a style rather than buying performance. If you want performance, you have to buy a V-series or a Chrysler SRT model. Cadillac's interior quality PALES in comparison to Ze Germans.

  • The only thing I like is that it is RWD. Problem is, not many people can afford to buy a car that is this small. When people splurge, they splurge for a car that can do everything they need it to do. Hopefully Chrysler will make the 200c concept and give it RWD and a sub $20,000 price tag.

  • STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. I bought my mom an STS and trust me - the only place Caddy can rival BMW may be in mechanical problems. My mom just took her car in to have the heated steering wheel fuse and rear defogger checked.

I'm interested in the XTS, but, why the hell is Cadillac building anything smaller than the CTS? The CTS is already small. They need larger cars - LIKE CHRYSLER. Chrysler isn't having trouble selling Chargers or 300's.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Because the CTS is a BIG car in the rest of the world, the 300 and Charger altough cool cars are almost exclusively sold in USA unfortunalty. I wish for Big Cadillac's aswell, tough the world can't fit big cars anymore...

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Because they're trying to take on BMW. It's not that Cadillac is having trouble selling their current models, but some people aren't content with just "not having trouble" selling their vehicles. Cadillac isn't out to be good, it's out to be great.

  • @Sampson712

I own an SRT8 and an S550. I used to own an EXT and a 300 Limited. Cadillac is NO match for Audi, BMW or Mercedes in ANY WAY. The only thing making Caddy stand out is the polarizing exterior style. Their INTERIORS ARE SHIT. I considered buying a V-Coupe CTS (video on my page) but ended up buying my mother a fully loaded STS. Her STS is probably the best interior Cadillac currently has despite being geriatric. Problem is their electronics systems are worse than iDrive.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Last time I checked CTS-V is doing a damn good job of beating out E63 and M5. My father has a V6 CTS and I agree there's some plasticy materials in there, but I still really dig what Cadillac has done since '08.

  • @Sampson712

    NOT IN SALES IT AIN'T.

That's cause #1 The people buying Cadillacs are mostly old (older) so they don't need all that power and #2 Young people aspire to own a BMW or a Mercedes Benz. Cadillac hasn't produced a "must-have" car for my generation since the $75,000 Escalade and NONE OF MY GENERATION CAN AFFORD THAT.

Not to mention CADILLAC HAS SHITTY INTERIORS compared to the Germans. In fact, I'D RATHER SPEND MORE AND GET A JAGUAR XF/ XJ.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview haha ya right, how old are you anyway ? Arguing on youtube and capitalizing things, grow up, rookie. Californians want this car, not big series fag truck reviews

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Man just listen to yourself, learn to appreciate cars more without going into situations with the predisposition of "american cars suck" The CTS, and all of the new model Cadillacs since their face lift are genuinely good cars whether you want to admit it or not.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview

I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm 33 yrs young and I see a lot of geratric 80's yuppies that still think bmw and mercs are cooler that compare their cars to 10yr old older cadillacs ... I live about 10 mins from all three dealer lots, and $75k is how much a new beamer or merc cost (or more). And for the price of coach builder($10k tops) for more posh I'll still prefer Ferrari Magnaride handling w/more bhp in the new ATS(v too...?) any day for around $30k

  • @agentwo975

I'm 33 years old too and come from a family that only buys American - typically Ford because their father worked for Ford many years ago. I personally hate Fords cause they are too small so I buy Chryslers.

Benz and BMW starts around $40K for small cars and make their way to $100,000 for the large sedans. My S550 cost $110,000 after taxes and dealer fees (loaded). A V8 Eclass or base CLS class is about $75,000.

Magneride handling isn't as good as an E/S/CLS suspension.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Yeah you are right! *slaps you with my sarcasm slap* Magnetic Ride Control or MRC (not "Magneride) is so inferior to an E/S/CLS suspension system that Ferrari decided they didn't want to use the best so they used a version of Magnetic Ride Control instead on their car. *rolls eyes* Please shut up. I'm 28 and you sound a decade younger than me. Want me to prove it? Here goes: "I personally hate Fords cause they are too small so I buy Chryslers." #WTF?

  • @bigtruckseriesreview You love making stuff up, don't you? You did this quite a lot when you were on Autoblog. That and spam the crap out of your channel.

  • @Elmo187

    MAKING WHAT UP?

    Watch your mouth.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview You've been all over the ATS videos commenting negative bullshit. You don't like the ATS, yet you're spending your own free time spamming it's videos for the past 3 days, what's up with that ?

  • @UFCextra

    UMMMM...CAUSE i CAN???

  • @bigtruckseriesreview You have issues with your eyes and you must have worn the feeling out of your hands if you think the STS is the best interior from Cadillac in recent years. We didn't even have the interior of the Chinese market STS and I'm appauled you made such a statement. I'm glad you admit Cadillac's "polarizing exterior style" has your attention. As far as you owning an EXT and making a case against Cadillac with it shows you to be a non-factor... #NEXT

  • @caddyman07

I got rid of the EXT for an S550. And Yes, the STS is the only Cadillac to have an interior remotely like a German Luxury barge.

  • I remember that the BLS from Caddy is set to be a rival for the 3-series ??? and this too? WoW !!

  • its a great looking car

  • 318 HP RWD ATS , best choice with white diemond color, awwh can't wait for the summer

  • palpitations in the corriders of munic ????? not bloody likely!! BMW 3 series is a true GLOBAL car that sells by the shipload!!! and Unless Caddy starts selling these ATS globally .... i dont think BMW is going to be all that worried

  • @robbyjai The biggest problem with BMW at this moment is they made the 3 series look godawful. This Caddy may actually have a chance.

  • @robbyjai Things change fast, but it probably will be a popular second choice with a Cadillac.

  • PEOPLE! We're still a year behind the ATS-V so stop arguing about ATS vs M5!

  • @TheHm3

ATS-V will compete against M3 not M5, they already have M5 rival in form of CTS-V

  • Hmm, I still don't think this car will sell well in the EU, no matter how good the technique is this time around. In this segment people look at the badge first and at the car second and Cadillac still has a pretty bad image here (thanks to pretty much every previous Cadillac). Lexus never really sold well here either and their cars are very good as well, same goes for Infiniti.

  • a 6 speed stick. i cant wait for that.

  • This car is much better than a 3 series, definitely !

  • @MrCadillacPorsche How would you or anyone know when the car isnt even on sale yet? :/

  • Good job Cadillac......good job!

  • My bad, I said their instead of there somewhere below.

  • @flatblackstrat No, Cadillac never said the CTS was a C or 3 competitor. Every magazine that tested the vehicle did. Cadillac intended on doing what they did which was offer a closer in size to the 5 series sedan at a 3 series price.

  • *there

  • Btw, I can't believe people like this man have my dream job. He failed at 1:25secs. The General's corporate V6 is 3.6L, NOT 3.7. Oh, and according to the presentation (can't believe I wasn't their and he was and missed this) the 3.6 is good for more than 320HP in this application. #Boom

  • When the CTS-V ripped the M5 a new one, only thing haters had to say was: Well its still an overweight pig. Now that the ATS is here and is lighter (dep on conf) I see those same people trying to throw salt in the comments here in a different way! Lol Get over it. The ATS is here to slap some faces. Starting with the 3!

  • @caddyman07 it beat out a car that went on sale since late 2004 as an 05. when the CTS-V went on sale in 2009. so it only took 4 years to come out with something competitive for a car that retired one year later. they're basically a generation behind the M series. so what's next, BMW comes out with another M5 and i am going to imagine that Caddy would just turn the boost up on the supercharger and call it a new model?

  • the new 3 series is better

  • An ATS wagon with a stick=awesome!!!!

  • beautiful car but too $_$

  • the ATS is a very nice car, wow

  • awesome

  • Ugly to expensive = GM will failure and sales aren't good already with Cadillac as it is the same with Buick franchise. Oh well not surprising GM fails at pretty much everything anyway. So how many more jobs did you cut and how many workers pay did you cut to get this vehicle in production? Did you also send the jobs over sea like most of the cars you build I know for certain that most of your engines and transmission aren't built here in the USA that's for sure.

  • @soyntgo4it of course it costs some money its a luxury car, not a high end one though. at least it costs less than those BMW series cars.

  • @westboundcali Ya I guess still rather have a BMW.

  • @soyntgo4it Wow...its you again. Its amazing how you make Ford-loving comments and then go onto new GM car videos and make disparaging comments that can be said of Ford also. lol. We get it:You hate GM. Then again, I don't know why you make positive Ford comments as I remember you talking crap about them on the Land Rover video. I guess you are just confused as all get out or just have "lots of opinions about stuff" lol You ought to learn the difference between the word 'to' and the word 'too'.

  • @2003SCT I don't know why I'm commenting cause I'm just feeding the TROLLS. Umm how did I crap on the Rover video and why are you stalking me? You need to find better thIngs to do than stalk people on YOU-TUBE. I don't have to explain anything to you or what I do. So go screw yourself and mind your business.

  • @soyntgo4it Stalking you? lol. I read a number of comments made on RoadFly and InsideLine video subscriptions and like a moth to a flame, you are there making retard comments. I know you don't have to explain anything to me..most of your incoherent babble explains volumes by itself.

  • @2003SCT Think you heard me the first time. Babble fuck off STFU and go play XBOX you wanker.. Like I said TROLL.. Go away TROLL..

  • @soyntgo4it Settle down angry grease monkey:)

  • @2003SCT Like said your Troll give up ..Your just going to fuk-up the comment section for the rest with your trolling comments..

  • @soyntgo4it Awww...baby soyntgo4it angry :(

  • @2003SCT Nope Ancaq baxmayaraq ki, özünüzü öz BD edirəm ..

  • @soyntgo4it Cool online translator usage bro....tell it again. :)

  • @2003SCT Pis ki, mən mən tam on müxtəlif dil başa səbəb istifadə etməyin. Siz başqa Google sayəsində ehtiyac yoxdur.

  • Shocked at this guy comparing the XTS to a 5 series beamer. Know your stuff brother there's a lot of people that wish they were in your position don't drop the ball like that.

  • @Sampson712 The XTS is in the same segment as the 5 series, mid sized luxury. They don't have to be identical cars to be in the same segment. Now is the XTS a competent competitor to the 5 series?..... No.

  • @flatblackstrat Kinda confused 0:34 didn't he say ATS suppose to compete with 3 Series so then CTS suppose to compete with 5 Series so (XTS 5 Series)?

  • @ron20102002 Sorry, it is confusing. But basically this will be the 5 series competitor until the new CTS comes out which will actually be a real 5 series competitor I hope. I also made a mistake in my classifications, I didn't realize how big the XTS was. It's over 10 inches longer than a 5 series. It's a full size luxury vehicle. But it's more of a price bracket than a matter of size, just like the current CTS competes with the C class and not the E class.

  • @flatblackstrat Cadillac has always treated the CTS and CTSV as a 5 series competitor.

  • @Sampson712 It was always a C class competitor, just larger, value option. It was never put in the same buyer segment as the 5, E, or A6. The new one on the other hand will be more of a real E class 5 series competitor since it will will get a bump in size. Also how do you figure they treated it as a 5 series competitor? It is a compact executive car while the 5 series is a midsize executive.

  • 0:15 Definitely not a cruze.

  • Diggin' the paddle shifters, RWD and 3.7L. Coupe?

  • Looks like Ford Jag....
