  • Does it take up more cpu power?

  • the graphics are so nice and the music too t makes just want to go in there!!!

  • lol the armor sounds like its eating

  • /watch?v=3u8XygjpFto checkout my modded oblivion in 1080p

  • i love godrays especially in games like these where you have vast eviorments and it fits right in

  • Now THAR'S a sun to get you sunburned!

Seriously, I love Godrays Shader Plugin, possibly the most realistic sun to get with casted shadows from objects.

  • + Skyrim = Where's my penis?

  • a little to much cell shading (outline)

  • @gamezonic, it's all highly modifiable in-game, so you can do what you want with it (even the thickness of the outline)

  • why can i run crysis 1 and cant run oblivion OBGE??? -.-

  • The only problem with is, i'd find myself just standing looking at the scenery more then actually playing.

  • @Leglesspooch, and the problem would be?... : )

  • WOW, THATS FUCKIN AWESOME

  • I've installed this about 100 times got it working twice and it broke twice. I spent the majority of the time putting the fragile thing back together... So dang confusing.

  • can somebody explain how to open the shader options in the game? there is something with a misc.item but i don't understand it.

  • DAMN.

  • Holy lag

  • Comment removed

  • i have obge v2 and i dont see godrays wtf?

  • @Saturnclass, could be the support plugin. You might have to write up a shaderlist.txt and add the shader manually. Happens at times. Godrays is the most peculiar in that regard.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis

well i realy dont know what obgev2 change game looks normal but in inventory i have obgev2 key then after i activate the key i get lots of options to change game graphic but there is no tutorial for that how to hell i know all that lol. I think this is mod only for expert users ..for people who know coding etc.

  • i hope Skyrim becomes what Oblivion should have been times 1 thousand and what you will have is the best RPG game ever created in the history of mankind...

if you disagree go back to your world of warcraft character..

  • mine never looks like this, I cant get HDRI switched on. whats wrong with the outline but really imressive. I hope Skyrim has these mods.

  • @redman7771red17, you're a flame baiter. Ipso facto, you actually are the troll you pretend to be.

  • very impresive liting.

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT

I'm gonna remove crysis from my memory and replace it with this

  • is this oblivion with obge or are you using other graphics-enhancing mods aswell?

  • @Geetarist2009, yes, that's why the vid's called Oblivion Graphics Extender. ; p

As for other graphics mods, no. Maybe the first clip had Qarl's textures on it, but the others used vanilla textures. I think there might have been other shaders at work, without a doubt the Depth of Field one of OBGE, but I can't remember, sorry.

  • @Geetarist2009, I guess, too, you'd have to include RAEVWD, too. Things like that always slip my mind because they get sunk in at the beginning and become part of the Permanent Tapestry.

There might be Weather-All Natural, too, though I can't say how much you'd pick it out from these shots.

  • what are you using to get the long viewing distance? and you can see the black outline when the sun shines on the grass, is that celshade?

  • @Geetarist2009, I believe that would be RAEVWD, really almost everything visible when distant. And yes, that's the celshade.

  • HOLY SHIT just let me take my piano and violin and a shitload of instruments back to these times and some medcine and BAM im good

  • @doc105 Won't be any magic, I'm sorry.

  • for some reason, i cant seem to make the Godrays to work. The other shaders work though. may i ask, whats your tweak settings for your godray? :O

  • @TheFPSmachine, it's untweaked. Never got around to meddling with it. I have problems getting it to work, too, if I use the OBGE support plugin. I generally write up a shaderlist text and make it so, manually.

  • so wait are there patches for this oblivion elder scrolls? or extenders? r they the same thing? what about mods. AHHH explain this please O:

  • @Crik52, there are mods (and patches, those are Bethesda-made) for the PC version of Oblivion (and Fallout 3, btw). They are community-created (the mods), many thousands of them, that you can find on the Elder Scrolls Nexus (let Google take you there). That site will also take you to the Fallout modding community, too.

If you have a suitable pc, and you like Bethesda games like Oblivion and Fallout, well, then a wonderful new jaw-dropping world awaits you!

  • Ewww, nevermind, halfway through the video you turned the black outlines on again. LOOKS SO BAD WITH THOSE. First half was amazing, however.

  • Looks a million times better than your other video with the awful black outlines on everything.

  • @neverent, that video was made to show what the game looked like if one plugged in all the shaders of the OBGE project at once, as they were/unmodified, so that's why the celshade is there. It's a cute effect, but I personally don't play with it.

In my opinion, the game looks far better using the celshade/AA plugin with the AA turned on (which consequently turns off the celshade)...which is what you see in certain examples in this video.

  • that looks weird especially with the ricks and trees look at the outlines as it changes in a wierd way

  • I did hear it. Perhaps, I will check it out. And thanks for the recommendation!

  • @AtheistLurker, you're welcome!

  • :( i miss oblivion.

  • wow that looks amazing, do you think I can run it with

    intel I7

    8GB of ram

    Radeon 5770

    windows vista business 64 bit

and I have a ton of mods running, such as FCOM and many others. is it compatible with lots of mods?

oh yeah and what are your specs

  • @paintballer70, I would think that you shouldn't have any problem with this. OBGE is quite light. The SSAO shader gives a bit of a hit fps-wise, but should be manageable. How much ram does your card have?

I always have at least 200 mods running and I've never had conflicts with this. These are shaders at work, so in the end, compatibility is very high.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis

yeah I got it to work, the godrays look amazing and yeah the SSAO does take a hit FPS wise but it still look really good. the only problem I had was it would CTD at some times. I started a new game and played for like 15 minutes and it hasn't yet, so hopefully it won't again. any idea what causes the crash? also do you have your SSAO settings set to something other than default because I'm not getting the look that your getting

  • @paintballer70, no idea why it would ctd. With as many ctd's as this game has to begin with, when you start modding it...I think we all know how That finishes. ; )

As for the ssao shader, I haven't modified it. I generally use the ssao_perf instead of the normal one, as it's lighter in all respects.

On other thing: I don't remember if I was using a shaderlist here or I had the support plugin, but for me, the godrays effect is far greater when I use the shaderlist.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis

I got it working, but the SSAO has a fog and water glitch so I just stick with the godrays which are awesome. hopefully they fix it in the next version of the shader, and you have to put the godrays.fx in the shaderlist.txt or I don't think it will work

  • @paintballer70, yeah it does (the shader and fog/water problem), so it's a trade off, all right.

Yes, they all go on the shaderlist or they won't work, but that's if you don't use the support plugin. If you use the plugin, you don't use the shaderlist. The list is for manually adding the shaders to the game, whereas the plugin can turn them off and on.

  • @AFuck1ngNinja, you know, I don't think my .ini has anything special going on. Are you using the support plugin or have you written a shaderlist text to put in your shader folder? Are things working, at least?

Results can vary with the mods you have, too...weather/lighting, texture replacers...

  • My Spec's

    Does it works with:

2.63 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dyal Core Processor 5000+

    Ram: 2 GB

Vista Home Premium 64 Bit Ver.

    ATI Radeon 4800 HD Series?

  • @TheOblivionMasta, it might. A lot of the discussion of possibilities depends on what other mods you run. Oblivion uses 1 core, your ram's not too high but should be all right if you aren't using other stuff in the background, and your card probably has at least 512 on it so...depends on your mods. Only the SSAO shader is heavy on use. The godrays is fairly light.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis My card has 1 Gb Since its HD :9

  • @TheOblivionMasta, that's nice. I think I will have to save up for a new one with more ram. This game's got great potential when it gets maxed out (which I can't do, of course).

  • FUCKIN WOW

  • I'm getting a new card for my other stationary computer soon, it will be a gamer computer

It works fine with Qarl's pack 3, aswell, here.

Hoping to get the new card soon enough though. ;P

  • dayum, that is sexy!

  • Intel celeron dualcore 2.40ghz

    4gb ram memory DDR2

    ati radeon HD2600pro 512mb DDR2

    windows7 64bit

Is it possible for me to run this mod ? tell me please :)

  • @legendaryboy800, well, you speed seems all right, your ram is okay, but you know, it depends on how many other mods you have going. How does your Oblivion play without the OBGE? OBGE itself doesn't make too much of a hit on performance.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis I have a new card radeon 5670 and got araound 40-60 fps with qarls texturepack 3 and forward motionblur so it works fine now ;)

  • @legendaryboy800, LOL. If you can handle Qarl's so easily, you can handle a lot then, eh? Lucky you! Have fun!

  • @legendaryboy800

sorry dude but this is a bit slow setup u need a better cpu and gpu

  • damn it almost wants to buy a new computer just to have this mod

  • 2:34

    That was kind of random.

  • @gtaxmods, if you're talking about the voice, yes in fact it was. That's a mod that gives voice to your pc, tied in with pc idles. For the orc (who I was playing at the time), he says that kind of thing when he's outside at times. I thought it nice to leave in.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis I would very much like to know the exact name of the mod that makes your character talk, please.

  • @Elfeint, of course. That would be Oblivion Sound Sets, and it can be found on the Nexus. There aren't a great many things that get said, but there are many character-type choices, and the difference that it makes is phenomenal. I don't play without it any more.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis Thank you =)

  • How do i enable the shaders? ;o

I dont really understand, cant get it to work >:(

  • @SickPsychoKiller,

you have to either create a shaders text document in with the shaders or you have to install the support plugin. Go to the pages and look around on the Nexus. Someone has already asked these questions. And install instructions are there, plus video card considerations.

  • @Wizard0fAtlantis ok thanks, got all the shaders to work now. Except godrays :O

Seems like everybody with ATi cards have got that problem. :(

  • @SickPsychoKiller, I understand. That sucks, man. Sorry to hear about that.

  • OBGE still removes all your AA, look at the jagged edges of the wooden fence right at the start.

I only like to play with AAx8, wish there was a way to enable both but I cannot stand having none AA at all just to have godrays and some Depth added :(

  • Yes and sort-of-no. The celshade+AA shader does blur line edges if you switch on the AA (consequently turning off the celshade). That does blur the edges around objects. It's something you can play in-game with thanks to the support plugin and experiment.

For me, it does enough so that I can go without the game's AA, and have DoF, godrays, and the ssao thrown into the mix.

  • wow i wish my computer could support that kind of stuff

  • Very Nice. Did you change any setting for the godrays plugin and what did you have to do to get rid of the black lines in cel shade. Also what are your mods you use to ehance the textures if you use any.

  • Quarls Texture pack 3

but you need a very very good PC to run it.

Like 60 fps on vanilla Oblivion than you can run this

  • No, the godrays is as is.

You can change the shader to turn on or off the celshade using a text editor like notepad or use the support plugin. AA goes on, celshade goes off.

Actually, only the first two clips have texture replacers, and those were Qarl's 3 Reduced and Redimized.

The other clips have no texture replacers. They are using vanilla textures. What changes the look of the textures is the ssao shader.

So disregard what IvOOO95 said for this video.

  • whoa thats awesome
