Lets size this up,,,,,engine placement, idle pressure on an 1 3/4 line, why not a 2 1/2 on the first attack, no masks on,,,,,dangling from waist, people not in gear in IDLH area, pulling to much LDH and having it kink, no safety officer, pulling roof/ceiling/debris while other stand close, having a wall fall possibly destroying evidence, and over haul with no packs on. All this spells disaster.
@lumpy46 I am with you on most of your assessment/size-up. Except, I think engine placement is appropriate allowing the truck to take the numbers. Also, I am quite sure that's a 21/2 not a 13/4 that was pulled initially. However, I DO think they pulled a 13/4 during overhaul. What you didn't mention is the goon that dropped the line @ 8.00. What else spells disaster? Poor staffing..
@lumpy46 could you find any other little things to find wrong? gimme a break dude, been an arson investigator for 19 yrs and you mention a wall collapse and losing evidence? get real, it's a fire in mid winter and they did a knock down in 8 minutes with no injuries, but of course your some super firefighter hero....
Looked like a good one.We also have officers that help us out by "humping"hose lines. We even had an officer take the nozzle and and protect the house next door until we was able to gear up.Great work guys even to the guy who dropped the line.Lol
i could not tell forsure but was that a cop helping laying out he supply line off the truck? cause if it was thats what i call team work! great job!!!
I felt bad for the firefighter who took the header over whatever it was he tripped on. I'm impressed that Chief Flavin still had his tie on that late in the evening as well. Nice work on the knockdown to everyone!
@ShawanoLover, Yes I called them. I called back to back until they got there!
