How is questioning if there is a conflict of interest being racist? That is a completely valid point. Even if the book is not ABOUT Obama directly you cannot honestly say that him winning the election wouldn't make people more interested in her book and help it sell more copies. That question has NOTHING to do with race. The only ones I see making it about race are the people who think it's wrong to even bring up the subject.

Honestly if the moderator was releasing a book titled "The Breakthrough: Politics and Military Service in the Age of McCain" (or even worse Bush) the media would be throwing an absolute fit. It wouldn't matter what the title was or if the book was not specifically about him. I think it's ridiculous to even bring race into this. It's about a conflict of interest NOT race.

Honestly I think this election has solidified the fact that all of the networks are somewhat bais. I'm not defending Greta's journalism skills however I don't think she is a disgrace. A conflict of interest in the media is the same as anywhere else. There are not enough characters in the comment to fully explain the definition of a conflict of interest. All I'm saying is why couldn't it be someone with nothing questionable. Then there would be nothing to wonder.

It's okay. I'm fully aware of what a conflict of interest is. I just don't think the term has any place in a discussion about the media. No one would be safe if there were such a thing as a media conflict of interest. Anyone from Fox News would have a conflict of interest in a debate. If McCain wins, Fox News's ratings would be boosted because people would watch so they could blind themselves to what he's screwing up. If Obama wins, they'd watch Fox News to remind themselves why they hate him.
