Man, I felt bad for Lightning at the end of this. She used up all of her power and seals the portal of manikins with her Zantetsuken and because she used up all her power, Shinryu doesn't revive her, so she's dead in the dissidia world. Total Zack Fair moment. -_-

i thought it was if the manikins killed them they just didn't revive in the next cycle. they stopped the flow of new manikins so the warriors in the next cycle wouldn't die to them it says nothing of when they die to the manikins they go back to their respective worlds. why would exdeath bring them there then? no everybody just died is all. squaresoft killed off Tifa, Laguna and Kain is all. don't like it wah.

For those who don't get it, Lightning and the others were defeated by the horde of manikins. Apparently when you're defeated by manikins you're sent back to your respective world with no memory of what happened during the war. Hope that clears everything up.

@StyryderX I don't remember anything like that. As far as I know you can't be resummoned into a new cycle if you're killed by a manikin. Shinryu just returns them to their respective worlds.

@ilovemyname11 From what I remember, Chaos and Cosmos use their power to summon the warriors every round. Unless they were defeated by a third party, like the manikins. Shinryu restarts the cycle, but only with the ones that can come back. I think that's right...

@rappinggrammy101 he is wrong, first of all, all the warrior in dissidia are manikins perfect with memories from the real FF characters (the only who is not a manikin is Garland and he knows the true about the manikins and the meaning behind the whole war), and if you are defeated by a imperfect manikin you are dead for good.

I'm guessing when you die in dissidia by manikans you return to your own world, so lightning and the rest are free while those who were put to sleep are forced into the 13th conflict. That kind of sucks for them. I would have rather been on lightnings group since you wouldn't have to face the remaining manikan army plus the 13 villains of Final Fantasy and Chaos....Hmmmm it seems those that didn't return got the better deal, of course this is my opinion.

The reason why lightining,kain,vaan,tifa,lagu­ana werent brought back was because shinryu couldnt bring them back the area they were in was beyond shinryus control.

@XSinStylesX not trying to be a jerk, but it's actually because they were "killed" by manikins - a third party in the conflict, thus not in the original pact between Shinryu and Cid. Hence, why he didn't revive them. As some people phrase it, being killed by manikins "isn't in the insurance plan".

@Dilan10Z The only game Dissidia has to be canon to is FFI, because of its explanations of Cid, Garland, Chaos, and the WoL. It doesn't need to be, and probably isn't, canon to the others.

And no, from what I can tell the story of Dissidia IS directly corrected to FFI. It gave us tons of backstory on Garland in the reports, and finally revealed his connection to Chaos (FFI was really vague beyond "woop i'm chaos now because of the fiends").
