I dnt know why you'd call this a clipshift substitute because it's done in a very different way and it doesn't work with tricks designed for the clipshift so I dn't get it but its still a pretty cool change :)

I have been doing this change for a while. The one thing I don't like about it is there has to be a "clean up" afterward. The up side is, it's a lot easier than clipshift.

i dont think this is a clipshift substitute seeing that clipshift gets the bottom card to the top. this doing the reverse. Its more of a One Handed Ego Change. But its still a great trick.

Unfortunately,

I can't help you there. Even mine makes a sound.

The only way you could "silence" it is to do a snap along with the change.

It creates misdirection and hides the sound.

It's similar to the clipshift because it's a one hand change. It's more visual than the clipshift. But the clipshift finishes cleaner. :D
