I say good luck to them, there's plenty of videos of the actual performances Otis Redding on Youtube if you want to see them, this band is making people happy at a wedding, much better than listening to a ropey DJ playing stuff from an Ipod, where's the skill in that! From the looks of them they are only a four piece anyway so it's quite a decent sound even on a crappy camcorder mic. I wish the band I had at my wedding had as much soul as this band does, least they cover the greats!!!
Pretty good. But did you watch the crowd.?! British weddings... don't you just love those comic moments when that guy who clearly wants to be dancing with someone else... suddenly wanders off the floor to the left... then comes back with a bloke to dance with, then with another woman who is soon more interested in another man. Next the first man is looking annoyed at being pushed out and goes back to first woman... and almost straightaway wanders off again! You couldn't choreograph this...
The two women dancing together are the happiest. No idea who is the bride or groom (maybe the irritable pair). At a Welsh wedding I went to, all the blokes went into another room to watch the Wales/ England international rugby game. The wedding reception came a long way second to beating the English. After our own wedding my father-in-law reminded the driver of the train we were on of the old tradition of sounding the whistle for newly weds. We got constant two-tone diesel horn for 16 miles!
my husband and I played this by Otis on a jukebox in a bar in Spain in 1971 over and over again whilst playing pinball and on our honeymoon. The only other group that can match Otis's record is the Committments to my thinking.

If you played this over and over on your honeymoon, your husband is the biggest of wimps...This is a tarrible song. I'm not surprised that you think it's good.
slight tangent=Otis Redding songs: Most people think of "Respect" as an Aretha Franklin song. With all respect to Aretha, let us remember, the Queen of Soul covered it with her huge talent but it was Otis Redding's song.
Howard Stern was talking about Otis today. I bought this song on iTunes back when Taylor Hicks was on American Idol and performed an Otis song. Sad to say but I didn't know him before that.
YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!! lol

If you like this, or even if you don't, listen to the original.
