Timi Yuro was classically trained, so I supposed she's a good example. And she just sounds a million times better because has a fuller richer sound due to training and warming up. It doesn't even sound like Sparks warms up, that's going to kill her voice.
you can tell by how she uses her tongue that it's not lipped... when you sing you need to keep yor tongue down and she does a lot ... when people lip synch they forget and use thier tongue a lot more lol

It's the producers "rule" at the superbowl, Don't worry, it's her voice - she did record it - but it's not happening live. It's well documented. There is a great book on the making of the superbowl (author's name escapes me) but it's talked about in there. I guess Garth Brooks (late 80s) nearly backed out one year for some reason, so ever since then, the've recorded them in advance. No slight on Jordan, Whitney, Dixie Chicks or whoever gets the gig this year, but they've were all pre-recorded.
in my opinion i dont think shes lip syncing......BUT at the end when she start hittin those high notes...it looks like shes not struggling at all and notes like that takes some deep breathing and a lot of power....her face was completely straight

it does look like lip singing, her face doesnt show enough strain when she does the high notes/belts, and the video is abit off from her mouth but that shouldnt be the video itself cuz it looks like pretty good quality.its pretty good lip singing tho, and just because she (may be) lip singing doesn't mean shes a bad singer, maybe she had a cold...

Jordin Sparks didn't lip synch thats a bunch of bullshit!! just because you don't hear an echo or planes doesn't mean that she's not singing you know they do have sound control to where nothing can interfere with the singer DUH!! And besides she has a beautiful voice and won a SINGING competition there is no reason for her to lip synch who ever says she does your a moron GO JORDIN YOUR VOICE IS BEAUTIFUL and I watched it when she sang it and her REAL VOICE DOING IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! She did lip sync this. If you watch really closely at around 2:00-2:01.. you can see she like.. drops her jaw to change notes but does it late. She messes up... it's sad she isn't really singing but.. the song was pre recorded.
