  • I can hold the headstand easily, but I have problems raising my head, I always drop then, any advice ?

do I lack balance, power,or more technique ?

    Thanks

  • @Beijing292 You might want to strengthen your arms more. Then it will be easy. On youtube . com / watch?v=RMpfkxnwFwY you have a Video with recommendations to strengthen your arms. Otherwise: You can try to do scorpion against the wall. Do heastand 15-30 Inches away from the wall. Then lower your feet until they touch the wall. Then it will be easier to lift your head. Practice makes perfect.

  • @YogaVidyaEnglish . Thanks for your reply. I have checked on the flying dog, but I am a guy and I have strong arms, much stronger than average.

I can hold the headstand for 10 minutes, mostly relying on the head, not on the arms.

So I think it is more about the right technique. Will continue to try, increasing my willpower after all that's what Asanas are mainly for :). I like your yoga series, good job !

  • @Beijing292 May be you can find a Yoga teacher who can help you into the position. Once you have been in the position once, it gets much easier.
