  • vfrssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • asdevnv fhfhvgfgftrdxhntvgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggha

  • this is a big step from do-san :L

  • Grading in like a hour thanks (:

  • Going for red tag tonight...thanks again for this video!

  • omg my gradings tonight ! goin 4 blue tag, wish me luck!!!!

  • i cant wait to learn this, im a green tag so im learnin this soon

  • i have watched this many times to help with my grading, has been a great help

  • muy bueno =)

  • This man is a top tkd practitioner, a 5th dan black belt and mutiple european and world championships to his name!

  • TAGB (TaeKwonDo Association of Great Britain) teach Won Hyo slightly differently.

  • @evandixon7 ITF es el Taekwon-Do Real.

  • @rocknrolf6 theres no real and fake,ITF is just the traditional type

  • yea is different in my school

  • Mistakes: 0:26 your palm looks like a fist? Keep it flat.

    0:42 Reverse Punch?

These are the mistakes I made at green belt. Come on, I know you can do better! Keep on trying! x

  • @Dustybolt its supposed to be a reverse punch, i dont see your point and he clearly has his hand open for the finger thrust its jsut the camera angle...

  • @lronicDragon Ugh... My opinion.. LEAVE ME ALONE

  • @Dustybolt trust me, you can't get a better example of Won yo than this, until you can perform this pattern better, you have no right to criticise him

    1. It was flat, it just looked clenched because of the angle of the camera

    2. It is a reverse punch

  • i never saw such beautiful and crisp patterns.

  • lol... is he wearing a watch during training and performing demo..????

    Please....!!!!!!!!

  • @willithae77 It's more like a sport watch you know likke a stop watch, needless to say he uses it in training

  • @willithae77 El hace excelentes movimientos, especialmente la patada de lado es increibe. El reloj es lo de menos.

  • My school does Won Hyo way differently.

  • ok lah

  • Excelente, y el sabonim esta muy guapo, aunque soy nueva en el TKD, me estoy aprendiendo las TUL muy rapido. Asi como no :)

  • wayyyyy different in my school

  • @nickiminajknowitall because you probably are WTF this video shows won-hyo for ITF

  • @theCrAzYDude989 no its the bouncing thingy he does and his lack of kihaps and we do a spear strike differently

  • @turfguy87 That "swingy-bouncy" motion is called sine wave and is a massivly important part of any tul! You're right about looking straight ahead but to be honest if I could get my patterns anywhere near close to the perfection you see in these videos I'd be pretty happy with myself!

  • @markryan84 yeah its def sine wave, but how does that correlate to combat or self defense? it would slow you down & telegraph your movements to your opponent / attacker

  • @turfguy87 A tul has nothing to do with self defense or combat.... Its For Calmness, Accuracy. and Discipline

  • @xSilkify katas (tul) are supposed to be forms that practice your stances, strikes & power posistioning to train your body what to do in the event of an attack. For all intents & purposes a Kata is a practice fight. Thats why I was asking

  • Comment removed

  • @turfguy87 Yep thats a part of it too. oh well. i actually saw a vid that general choi hong hi was recorrecting his students to use the sine wave, depends on diff schools tough.

  • @xSilkify yeah I saw that video too. Interesting concept.....

  • @turfguy87 Yupp

  • WTF???

  • @turfguy87

Erm.... this is an ITF. Not a WTF.

  • @sasuketheavenger1000 no, wtf someone had my comment removed?? pansy bitches..... all I was doing was comparing styles.... morons

  • @turfguy87 I see.

  • his grace and power, is stunning!

  • @favordoer78 It would be. He's a 5th Dan.

  • eyes wandered a bit, & foot roll looks out of place at :51

    otherwise not bad

  • @turfguy87 lol a pattern presented in absolute perfection and you worry about his eyes wandering? (which i didn't see)

and then you say his foot rolls a bit? (which he didnt)

    then you say not bad?...

i dont mean to be rude but do you do taekwondo?

  • @Hem4fiction the foot roll is different than how we do it; obviously I'm in tae kwon do.

When we compete, points are deducted if our gaze is not straightforward.

Also we don't have the swingy-bouncy in between each move; ours is more traditional korean. :-)

  • @turfguy87 We have the swingy bounce but it's less pronounced.

  • Fair...

  • 0:11 its not L stun :)) its Sitting stun

  • @aliawesome12fab No. The punches after the inward strikes with the knife-hand are performed in fixed stance - which is the same as L- stance, but the body weight is shifted so that the weight distribution is 50-50, not 70-30. The punches are not performed in sitting stance.

  • precioso desde españa.

  • How many movements does it have?

  • @Mariale2803 , 28 :)

  • @Mariale2803 28

  • that is my master

  • haha, i found a fault in ur tull. the opening with ur hands u know 0:05 should be different, it should be the opposite, but ur doing it the same :P look:0:05 and 0:57.

    but its a great performance.

  • @2coolfactory5 well i meant xD, the opening and the beginning should be the opposite but ur doing the opening and ending the same way. but yeah as i said nicely done ;)

  • @2coolfactory5 wtf xD, i said it wrong again xD.... the ending and opening with the hands should be the opposite of each other but your doing the same... finaly i said it right XD but yh i will say it again very very great peformance ;)

  • @2coolfactory5 i know right? still pretty good though:)

  • @Alovesdogs I know right? its like wicked-peidia

  • nice. But i am doing a grading tomorrow

  • General Choi studied Shotokan, whic he received a 1st Dan. It is also claimed he studied Tae Kyon, which is the true korean martial art, not TKD.

  • This looks like Pinan Shodan reworked.

  • the first 2 inward knife hand strikes he did right but the last 2 he put his other hand (the one that he isn't using to strike with) in front of his striking hand and its supposed to be on the inside.

  • the first 2 inward knife hand strikes he did right but the last 2 he put his other hand (the one that he isn't using to strike with) in front of his striking hand and its supposed to be on the inside.

  • Best I've come across yet! Going to keep this bookmarked... planning to watch and watch until my blue tag grading

  • Anyone have any idea where the Ki hup's are in Won Hyo and Do San??? I need them for my grading next week!!! I think the Ki hup on Do San is at the straight finger tip thrust but I'm not 100 per cent sure.

  • @JESSIE69754 itf dont do them

  • @stinkyboy2007: actually there are Kihap in ITF.

  • @Klayre there is in step sparring not in patterns ,just the sharp exhale of breath at the end of the movement for power..........

  • @stinkyboy2007: There's the exhale of breath at the end of each movement for power and rhythm AND the ki-hap at certain movements. :) They teach it like this at most of the dojang(s).

  • @JESSIE69754: maybe it's a little late.. sorry.

In Do-San they're at the 6th and 22nd movements (the attack you mentioned and the last high block). In Won-Hyo it's at the 12th movement (same as in Do-San).

  • @Klayre Thank you so much.

  • @JESSIE69754: No problem :) Good luck.

  • This is one of my favorite forms - I think you did a great job ... I do it a little different, but I can see how consistent you are with your technique. I'm sure you did the form exactly as it was taught to you! Good Job!

  • i have got to do that pattern for my blue tag belt very good balance :-)

  • For clarification, my previous comment was not a review of the instructor's abilities, just the way that he performed this particular video.

  • @therealdriftcore ...... who the fuck are you ? lets see all your videos then... keyboard ninja ?

  • Strange form, the movements were somewhat imprecise, not originating in the chamber as they should have. The stances seemed a little bouncy but probably due to being a demonstrative video. Good video for inexperienced beginners but nothing that an experienced student or instructor would use. then again, i go to a school that has very traditional teaching styles and they have very precise techniques and form, instead of the imprecise "tourist" taekwondo that most schools use.

  • exhaling has this.purposes:

  • I'm 4th Dan Master with the WTF. I have found a school to teach at but they are ITF and have these patterns, MUCH different. These video's have helped me tremendously in catching up in a different style of Tae Kwon Do. Thanks so much! Mr. Suska has great form, balance and power in all techniques.

  • I loved this kata when I was a blue belt, it was very fun...Now that I am a 2nd dan black belt it gets to be a very irritating kata after the 50th time hehe ^.^

  • @YoungMangaka

    50th time?

  • Thanks a lot. I'm going to learn this :) Very nice and so on... :) It helps me a lot, Dan-Gun and Do-San especially. :)

Actually, I see, this amazing 5 Dan is from Poland. Zdravím tě z čech! :) You're awesom!!! :)

It's more than words can says. It's Taekwon-Do. *LOVE IT*

  • I'm going to learn this... Dan-Gun and DO-San help a lot. THX for this :) (This amazing 5 Dan is from Poland, I see. I'm from Czech Republic, zdravím tě, if u understand ;) Very ... AWESOM! It's beautiful, it's more than can words says. IT's Taekwon-Do :)

  • Is there a video of Master Suska performing Koryo anywhere?

  • It serves a few purposes, one oh which is to keep you breathing through each technique and exhaling needs a inhale as well! It also adds snap to the end of each technique by tightening the muscles. Best explaination is to try, blow out like you are blowing out a candle strongly and then quickly lift your tongue to the top of your month... As it happens you can feel the muscles in your body tighten.

  • looks nice but what is with all the "spitting".. just wondering, is it required?

  • @Arcticazn it's not exactly spitting, it's the sound they make when they exhale

  • @xuxushoo i see now, but is it required to do the poomse?

  • @Arcticazn poomsae is WTF(World Taekwondo Federation)-Taekwondo. This is ITF Taekwondo (International Taekwondo Federation). Different patterns.

  • @proGaimz i know this is a ITF form i study WTF forms, so is the "exhaling" (or spitting i call it) on every move required???

  • @Arcticazn Yeah it is. It actually gives you more power.

  • @proGaimz thanks because i'm learning these forms , they are good thanks again

  • @Arcticazn no prob

  • @Arcticazn: It also helps you with the "rhythm". :)

  • @Arcticazn i don't think it's absolutely necessary, but alot of people just do it

  • Brilliant. My favorite pattern so far.

  • Perfect. I know this helps a lot of peoples, because i quited ITF Taekwondo for a while since Green Belt and i forgot my forms. If i didn't revise my forms at home and will be force restarting to White Belt.

    Thanks a million!

  • i just tested from an orange belt and now i got my green belt and 2 get in second class i have to know won hyo and i think this will get me there and thanks alot for youre vids there really apriciated.=)

  • it is so dissapointing to find so much information online about the trivial tae kwon do form named after the famous zen monk Won hyo, and so little information abouot the monk himself.

  • @SunimZen well now ,most lads just want to pass their gradings, never mind any irrelevant info about some ancient monk.If you do tkd, theres enough about him taught to pass a grade, beyond that is up to you

  • THANK YOU! TOMORROW I HAVE TAEKWONDO TEST! AND IT HELPED ME A LOT! THANKS!!!!! I REALLY OWE YOU A FAVOR! TELL ME IF U NEED ANYTIME!!! I'LL HELP FOR SURE!!!

  • @SuperMarioLink64 you are mistaken There in no arch hand attack in Won-Hyo , after the twin forearm block there is an inward knifehand strike the pattern has only 28 movements in Won-Hyo and arch hand attack is not one of them , as this is ITF TKD not WTF or ITF Tag-B

  • ??? At my school, after the C block, we do An archhanded atrike with the outer hand, THEN do the inner hand kife strike....but HES doing it wrong!! I see Green belts do the thing I just described....or my school teaches different....

  • @SuperMarioLink64 he's doing it perfectly, refer to the taekwondo encyclopedia if you have any doubts, just to let you know, there is NO arch hands in this form.

  • @SuperMarioLink64 different breakaways from the itf teach it differet ways, there all useless anyway

  • Very good but but he needs to extend his front leg a bit more with the punch after the knife hand strike as it is supposed to be a fixed stance which has equal weight on both legs and he stays in L-stance. Other than that it was very good.

  • @LeonArcher2514 yeah i learnt it and passed im learning yul gok now, its so long l0l

  • @rLeonArcher2514 yul gok, or yoko in other translations, is one of my favorite forms in the style. i love looking back at these old forms.. they're perfect for when retraining the memory. if you can early learn choong moo. it's one of the harder styles and has it's own grooves like yul gok does. it's great for helping your mind expand, and master suska performs it well beyond par like he does everything else.

  • Won-hyo is a name a Buddhist thinker who is influential in Manahaya Buddhism for his commentaries.

  • all you people who say this guy is bad and has downs and stuff must be fucking retarded. The Federation has changed a lot of the moves and the technique. From his time, he must've been amazing!

  • Impressive kicks, if only I had that stability!

  • your kicks are insane

  • 15 days to learn this lol, always forget the end and my gradin is in 15 days lol

  • your head is going up and down thats not so nice..

  • amazing..pro

  • @LLBoarding His end result definitely has some power with it so maybe they are on to something. Just seems like it's adding some extra time between moves to me. His side kick (and balance) is amazing though!!! I've really got to spend some more time on my side kick. Being out of the game for 20 years is whooping my hind end!!! ha

  • @fightlikeagirl74

You can never go a tul slow enough;)

  • @Scatter68 The "bouncing" also develops a good sense of timing.

  • u know that tull like u :D im international campion

  • @Scatter68 ... Yea, I don't think I'd want to mess with him. He's tough, there's no question about that. And yes, his side kicks are wonderful. It just threw me off with all of the bouncing and swaying of the arms. Looked more like he was dancing than doing a Hyung. lol It's been great chatting with you!

  • @Scatter68 ... Thanks! In watching, I'm thinking "this guy is using way too much energy in the bouncing" and "I could kick him before he could get a block or guard back together on the swinging of arms from one technique to the next". ha

  • @fightlikeagirl74 You are judging his fighting skills watching him doing a tul? It seems you don't know that when you fight you almost do not use anything taught in a tul. You wouldn't bounce during a fight. Tuls are made to develop some other things like balance, concentration, etc. They are not made for fighting. Many people do not know this, even masters, and keep wondering what tuls are for.

  • @vockla

You have Down's syndrome, if you do not know it, go seek a doctor. Perhaps you will get some financial support.

  • @YellowMagi You go get and find some English teacher. LOL. I don't pay attention to trolls like you.

  • @vockla

    Obviously you did.

  • Question:

Why is he bouncing through the form?

I've always trained to keep everything on a level plain, no up and down stuff and definitely no opening of the guard when going from one move to the other?

    Just curious.

  • @fightlikeagirl74

    That's Taekwon-do:p

  • His kicks are amazing. I need to definitely work on that.

  • I could be wrong, but does his right handed punch seem less snappy than his left handed?

  • @creationofsatan Probably, 99.9% of people are not symmetrically perfect.

  • why the wierd music

  • You rock . .

  • thanks for the great vid just got my green belt an need this pattern for training 2 night helped me learn the basics of it in about 30mins pratice so can fine tune it in class .

  • @donald701 Yes it IS LOL... it's pure ITF the original with sinewaves.

  • @donald701 how is it not itf?

  • @donald701 Sorry, but it is.

  • @donald701 Yes it is LMFAO its pure original.

  • that helped me so much i test in a month!!!

  • thats soo much different from the form Do- San i did last month.i cant believe I HAVE TO DO THAT?!?!?how does he breath like a clicking sound?

  • @crimsonmarkcp His breathing is just a really short release of air right as he snaps into position. Breathe in when you're moving.. release all when you snap.

That's the best way I can describe it.

  • these are really helpful videos. Huge respect, Mr Suska is very inspiring.

  • thank you ur videos help alot

  • Brilliant, better than the crap tuls on the Iphone apps!

  • jazz hands wen ur doin the side kicks. keep it in a guard

  • Side kicks are middle section (shoulder height), which makes the punch at high level.

  • exelente!!!!!!!!

  • Name of song???

  • Blimey, all of his videos are FAB!!

I've followed each one as I've moved up my grades, Im a green belt now so Im studying Won-Yo.

His movements are fluid but precise!!

  • top class , great vids

  • teakwondocalvin are you dumb? XDD

  • @taekwondocalvin You have no fucking clue who this guy is, right?

  • @taekwondocalvin this guy is a legend. do you have any clue who he is?

  • @Guydabest Jaroslav Suska.

  • man you are really a spanner

sorry but you are, but there again you are a green belt punching above your class, wait till you learn more then post comments

  • 1st of all there r no such things as "clubs" there are federations and the most important ones are ITF and WTF

  • Ya, you may have been to two different clubs, but they were probably both just different associations, working under the principles of either the ITF or the WTF. Most likely ITF btw, so ya, the patterns would be the same.

  • a little bit different in International Taekwondo Alliance Ho-am taekwondo.

  • I think it's 5 moves we don't have in Ho-Am and a bit more artsy.

  • lol i know i was just being a bit of a jerk, cuz i had a really crap teacher from gtuk and who got his 6th dan (havent got a clue how) HE WAS CRAAAAAAP!
