  • the helmets pretty flat on top.

  • top of helmet slightly to low but the rest is fine

  • it looks cool can u put the designs on

  • Andrew Cook: The Early Years lol

  • First off, great job so far considering you are making everything from cardboard and practically eyeballing each part as you make it. Some of the most detailed armour i've seen out there was made from clay sculpts and castings...hope you've signed up to the 405th as there's always room for more creative Aussie members like yourself :)

  • ill wing about your face!

  • I'm doing the exact same thing as you said that you're doing, just getting a bunch of cardboard and doing whatever, and I mostly get it in the first try, even the helmet. Do you have any tips? This is my first set of armor, so yeah... And also, should I paper mache it? I want it (obviously) to be as smooth as I can get it. And also, do they make something that you can use to tint a motorcycle visor? Lots of questions XD Please reply!

  • Amazing dude fuckin beast by the way if you

Soak I think maby wool in salt water it is strong enough to deflect arrows I should know

  • his helmet is pretty fucking beast since he didnt use pepakura, great job dude

  • dud jus go with the pepakura method...its crap compared to that

  • @thecarboardking ya but you have to go through all this crap, and buy a bunch of stuff. id rather do this

  • i'm maing my own master chief helmet inspired by yours! nice job.

  • the only defect is the helmet

  • not bad but the top of the helmet looks a little flat

  • whats with all the questions .. what the fuck !!! not that great but nice try .... try again..its better then mine cause i dont have one

  • to make a helmet top part one you should make an oval -make it a fat rectangle- cardboard piece cut a smal reactan

  • omg kewl :O

to get a cheap visor go to your hardware store, they SHOULD sell those plastic flaming mask visors. They are also flexible so you can bend it to your needs. :)

  • do you think you could make a Mk. V helmet using cardboard?

  • if you diss, you're american, which is a worse insult than anything you could ever call this kid

  • @BroFresco hey why dont you shut the fuck up. wat are you? fucking aborigini or some shit?

  • @bp190 Pussy.

    Enough said.

  • wow just paint your face and your hair damb near makes the helmet

  • Hey everyone. Thanks for your support and constructive input. I don't think I'll be posting any new videos up anytime soon. I Have to purchase a new camera and will probably be starting a new channel with a friend. Maybe later on down the line I'll throw a vid of my wearing the whole suit up here :)

Don't get your hopes up though

  • hay nice vid man so what its not perfect nothing is perfect lol nice tho

  • can you make a video on how you first started out with the helmet

  • pepakura is NOT a good original way.I used cardbored to

  • hey guess wt...ue helm is cancerous...fiberglass causes cancer...i rlly wnted2 mke one but after that info pppsssshhhh..(phenol-formaldehyde and urea-formaldehyde resin) luk it up

  • how well does the suit stay together?

  • The method of making armor that this guy should use in one word...Pepakura.

  • @dragonbreathstinks As I have previously stated, I did not and still do not want to use Pep. The idea of making this armor was to test my creativity not my instruction following skills

  • @gobldegook1 So. If you use pepakura then your finished product doesn't turn out gay. And more accurate. Which ever one you want. Crappy or game accurate. Your choice.

  • @gobldegook1 but your creativity sucks... just use pep... it turns out sooooooooo much better

  • @gobldegook1 Yea I mean if he made it without pep it wouldn't be anywhere as good as yours.

  • thanks man:-)

  • how have you modeled the armour????

  • @900pete

I just sat down and cut bits a card board, no plan and no guide I just winged the entire thing. It's a had a few mods since then though :D

Almost, but nah mate I'm in Australia. The NZ and AUS flag are very similar

  • @GamersUsTk LMFAO your quite the obvious he said he was from New Zealand lol.

  • I want people to coment and rate good in my vids

  • u can hear a nice car in bacvk ground :)

  • Whoa!! That's good!!!

  • is there any way tomake a easy one i don't like pepakura so i can't realy make models but im good at drawing

  • dude you are amazing!!!! you must make a tutorial t making the helmet cause im stuck

  • these accents confuse me, how you can put an "r" sound in a word like glue, glure?, gluer? glrue? I can't say it. :(

  • @richhobo64 lol are you on drugs :P idk where you're hearing an "r" lol

  • @richhobo64 I think its more glruoooe!

  • nerd

  • I'm almost finished making a BR out of paper and cardboard looks pretty good but it's scaled for me not the MC

  • so someones talented at making something out of cardboard you automatically assume he's a nerd. and your name is iamthehackerXX

    grow up asshole

  • @ummmmwtf hey asshole your the one who searched this up theres no excuse buddy, and if you just go on vids and talk crap? im a nerd to i guess for liking this, so you grow up asshole.

    :P

  • @gobldegook1

Sweet I'm Moving to Townsville in two weeks

  • @goneawall09 oh snap! I live there man. Gr8 place but insanely hot atm and humid too. Where you movin from?

  • Sydney NSW

My mum and Dad decided it's time to escape the rat race plus traffic down here sucks

  • Yea I've been there a few times on holidays and it was insane. I'm not a real fan of the big city rush. Townsville is good for that though everything is all laxed. You'll never see anyone in suits lol

  • yeah to hot to wear crap like that

  • shut up

  • disturbedshredder wow... kinda sad you have the time to leave a LAME comment you idioit

  • Man. This helmet is great. You have talent and you are handy :D When I finish Iron Man Helmet I will send video here and you see this. Greeting from my site :]

  • what is that tube stuff called

  • I'm not sure, I found it in our shed in some random boxes so I'm not sure. If you want some just go to a hardware and describe it and they'll probably be able to tell you

  • The helmet looks like SHIT!!!

use pepakura to do the helmet!

the rest is ok but fix it with bondo...

  • use pepakura

  • @thepapergunman exactley pepakura is tha way to gooo lol

  • awsome!!!!!! =D

  • ur designs with cardboard are the better ones on the internet but i advise useing fiberglass and other stuff like that so it will last longer

  • Hey all, as I am nearing the end of grade 12 (FINAL YEAR WOOT) everyone in my grade are gonna wear random superhero costumes to school one day of the last week so I'm gonna do some last min touch ups and wear this :D. I figure its the first and probably last time I'll ever get a real opportunity to wear it without being completely shamed as I won't be the only one in a ridiculous costume so why not? u only live once :)

When I'm done the touch ups I'll try and post another vid with me in it (:

  • good with the fabrication in the design, and i like the tubing effect your puttying on the mask, its pretty cool

  • hey... arent you older fartbuttface (didnt mean for insult)

  • Really great job, I think it looks great so far! The only thing I would revise is that the top of the helmet is too flat. Other than that awesome job seeing this makes me wanna add more detail to my own helmet think I'll get round to that soon anyways nice job!

  • Thanks :D

  • well done

  • great job man...great job

  • hey dude nice work u r very creative and i respect u, i guess heeps of people on u tube say like that u have no life and that u r a halo freak but just say to them " then y r u watching the video" . and u also did an awesome job.

    well done mate :)

  • Tnx

  • oh ok. if i offended you in anyway sorry. i wouldnt like anyone to put bad comments on my vids =). anyway thx for showing, better that i could ever make.

  • I wasn't really offended. But thanks mate :]

  • the top isnt supposed to be that FLAT

  • Yea I know, I've been meaning to fix that but I just cbf at this stage.

  • Nitroboys25, your attitude is purely crap and stupidity! I have a little boy at home that is dying to have a Halo armor wich I can't aford. This guy has given me the idea to make one for my son out of chep material and I'm sure he will never forget his present because is much more better that the ones people buy. It will be made at home, and specially, made with love. If you think this is shit keep your stupid comment for yourself and buy a new plastic fantastik suit if you wish emptyhead!

  • Wow sounds like an awesome idea. If you want a potentially quicker way of making a very nice halo suit I would strongy recoment you google pepakura, its a free program where you can print out the suit with numbered tabs that you glue together. You just print it out on paper and glue that to card stock or whatever u want.

    Good luck! :]

  • Thank you very much for your tutorial and don't care about people with nasty comments, the're plenty of negative people out there. You have done a nice work, you are a creative person,

Good luck to you too! ;-)

  • what kind of paper regular blank paper and where can i find cardstock

  • Oh i'm sorry, I must have misunderstood you. So you don't buy them (OBVIOUS ALREADY) u just get them given to you. Thats sooooo much better.

You should be doing something constructive with this shit rather than trying to make people feel jealous (its not working)

  • could you just add some pieces to a motor cycle helmet to make the helmet?

I dont have alot of resources so i think this should work, we just moved so we have alot of cardboard but i want to kmow if i coul still use a helmet as a base

  • Thats essentially what I did, however, it creates a helmet that is far to big (like 2-3 times the right size) so it'll look real gumby. Another way to do it might be using just a cap to stick it all to and when ur done just remove the cap from underneath. To do that u'd have to pre much wing it for the sides.

When i made mine I had to trim it down (a serious pain in the ass) multiple times till its how it is now and the head is still a bit flat.

  • If you want a relatively realistic helmet with minimal hassle, have a look into Pepakura (google it). Its very str8 forward and easy to use.

    Good luck :)

  • noooooooob why dont you try plastic molds

  • Because I don't have the money/materials. And when I started making this it was just some holiday project to kill time (was srsly bored). And now I'm in grade 12 with nxt to no time on my hands with study etc.

Eventually I hope to get right into moulds and stuff but not until I have lots of time and a fair bit of cash.

  • wow man veary good i made some armor but not halo from a old bookbag and a lot ow velcro pouches

  • you should put a LED flashlight on the side of the helmt that would look cool and it would work

  • Yea that's one of those things I've been meaning to get around to but never find the time lol. Would be awesome tho :)

  • ur austraillian!!! lol

  • AUSIE FTW! XD

  • cool so ur ass will br protected when the covanent comes and you'll be able to fight back with ur futuristic space weapon ( 2:38 ) .

  • Rofl. I'll pwn em with mah hot glue gun!

  • i like ur accent! lol.

  • You have way to much time on your hands

  • lol im amking real stuff like that but it shoots cuts with fingers im still making it but im amking the glove im making the hole suit

  • Yea I wholeheartedly agree with that description. Ultimately I want to give it a shot using plastic moulding and maybe some fibreglassing but that'll be when I get more time (grade 12 is getting pre full on atm).

Once again completely agree with the helm. I actually remade the helmet a few times but its really difficult to reach the desired proportions and curves with cardboard and glue. When I started making this suit my goal was to make it completely out of cardboard.

    Thanks for your input

  • cool i cant even make a cardboard mask 5 stars

  • top of helmet is a little to flat

  • lol

  • nice work. im making an armour in metal....nothing from halo tho......im the 9 best from sweden in halo 3 XD kickass ey? see ya online

  • eh.........

  • Pretty good mate

  • ino right?like no one even knows about it

  • australia gooday mate

  • Dude, your helmet needs to have a round top not a flat one...

  • good job

  • i kant even make that

  • You're ready to upgrade to resin and fiberglass. Make your costume out of card stock paper, resin the exterior, fiberglass the interior, then sand the paper down and hit with another coat of resin. You are extremely creative. Keep up the good work!

  • Wow that's awesome! I've been looking around online for ways to make a suit cheap for halloween, and they all cost thousands of dollars. And I'm only 20, so I don't have real cash. I'll definitely try this. Keep it up!

  • u started off with a crappy design... its the 4th gen of ur designs... its still a crappy design...

  • its a halo outfit, do you want him to put even more time into it. Its hilarious enough as it is

  • cool !!!!!!

  • LOL YOU LOOK LIKE MY COUSIN

  • then he must be ugly.

  • lol standard cardboard umm i didnt know there was another type of cardboard

  • well what i like seeing is people that have a life have friends party and all that other shit but whenever there bored or have spare time they do shit like this, now thats ok, idk if ur like that or not so i wont say anything

  • Yea, i have a normal life (not a complete nerd with no face to face social life). And since that was a rare period of extended free time, I haven't had time to finish it properly like many continuously request.

  • not bad man, for making it out of damn cardboard

  • pretty good for the materials your using normaly to a video like this one i would say for u to get a life but after observing how much time and effort you put in to this im impressed good job.

  • yee australia

  • you people that are haterz he made this vid to show u how to do something ok so u haterz dont have to come and say get a life if ur gunna say this stuff dont watch people vids

  • wow u have no life at all i agree u take time in your life to make halo armor in real life cause u think ur cool and probobly show off to people with it

  • u think he has no life cuz hes spending like 1 hour of spare time making a halo costume? LOL wow ur soo cool *not

and another thing. u think hes "showing off" to people when hes making a tutorial on HOW TO DO IT?

god u need to get some frends little loser

  • dude your an idiot...... you have no life.... you spend your time telling them that they have no life.... when you could be outside doing something..... wow "show me your genitals" is in your favorites.... you must have no life at all you fruit

  • u is one of them britain cookie eatin tea drinkin niggaz.

  • ?? What draws you to that conclusion?

  • u iz got one of them funny accents

  • it iz all da same yo, we iz niggaz laf at yall britain accent speaking white folks

  • you're one of the most ignorant person i've ever heard, so i shall laugh at you...

  • your a retrt im aussie dont diss us we are the same as all of you

  • u is needing to go back to the deep south and get some that there education

  • i aint from da south and i aint some redneck mothafuka. im a big nigga from menphis tenesy. if i see yo ass on da stree ima kick it boway im 6foot4 and 300lbs, i b eatin dat fried chicken all damn day and ill whop u skinny white ass boy.

  • wow thank you i needed a good laugh. one i dont give a shit if your black you try and kick my ass which you wont cause we will never see each other but ill put nine bullets in your mother fucking chest

  • You weigh 300 lbs? God your a mcdonalds monster!

  • i eat dat damn freid chicke nall day and bench 400lbs

  • If you either using cardboard or paper (Paper i meaning with the program named Pepakaruka or whatever its called) You can hard it with the Fibre Glass after that use silicone rubber and make a two part mold, mix the liquid plastic part a and part b or whatever its named put in the mold that you maked with the cardboard/paper part, and wait "Tadaa! You have a nice hard plastic part a clone/copy of ytour cardboard/paper part. I think someone geuinis can think of a way to make it metal, but seya!

  • Its pepakura designer ;)

  • you copy right

  • Dude use cardstock its the way to roll.
