None of my games i have on steam are like this at all. Now dont get me wrong I think a lot of their ideas for games, plot lines, and gameplay are really neat, but it's this whole process of them need to make as much money off this as they can that really screws us "the consumers" who pay through the ass for games that come bugged to hell or broken until properly patched several months later. Many felt that this was an unfair advantage that some people could pay to get guns that they could never get. The Boycott was SUCCESSFUL. You can now get the guns by getting max level.
EA does this with all their games. I have to buy a fucking "Online Pass" for 10$ in order to play Need for speed online just because i bought it used.

Gamestop pays a player like 15 bucks at most for a recent game traded in, and sells it for like 5 bucks of new price. They rip off customers and the company who made it gets jack shit. So it's a response to this. Not saying a 10 dollar charge to play online is justified, but that's why they are doing it.
The charged DLC was only implemented because the game developers were losing out on the 2nd hand games market.
When you buy a second hand game the developer earns nothing for it. So they invented the serial key to unlock online play. So if you bought the game for a tenth of the cost, youd still have to pay the developers to utilise the online functionality and additional content.
Seriously guys, I've been a member of that community since before this video, and at the time it was an extra couple of $ for a sniper rifle that was no better than any other rifle in the game.

MW2 costs more for map packs than B:BC. Also if you get the VIP code for either BC game, you get all map packs for free.
MW2 doesnt do this. You have to pay $15-$20 just for 5 maps that are pretty bad.
If you ask me, MW2 has a bigger problem with DLC cost than B:BC.

@VrooMMx Worth it on MW2? It would be... if they actually had good maps. Or some kind of Zombie mode. You're better off just not buying most of the MW2 map packs unless you REALLY want to play on one of the maps in them. MW2 probably has the worst maps of any CoD game lol.

@VrooMMx No. Are you one of the people who run around aimlessly with the noob tube or only use Marathon/Commando Pro and a tac knife in MW2? The best CoD's IMO were CoD4 and WaW (at least I thought so). CoD3 was pretty good too. BO and MW2 were good to the extent of their campaign modes but that's all I really played them for lol.
I didn't even say MW2 was one of the worst CoD's, I just said its maps were terrible.

MW2: For 60 dollars, you can listen to little kids saying they did your mom.
More unoriginal maps where you can listen little kids using auto-detect on their microphones are available for additional charge.

Fuck you people are stupid. This video was made before the release of Bad Company, and is parodying the fact that EA are rip-off merchants. They probably were going to charge for kits + maps before this was made, which is apparent in the official trailer when they say "and no, we're not going to charge extra for these".

lllaaawwwlll they didnt charge u extra u got everything free if u got gold edition (no extra charge) same with the weps (only 1 for each class anyway) plus they gave u free codes on their website to unlock them (unless ur a dumbass and didnt check their site...) and i never had to pay 4 the maps they were all free!

The reason Call of Duty charges for map packs is because they were made AFTER the game released, based on consumer feedback and they charge because they it costs a lot of time and money to make them...
