Why? Because then she wouldn't be able to get in the White House in 2012. McCain will win and then she can run for the Prez then and say "see i told you so".
If Obama were a good leader he would pick Hillary and win the Presidency for 8 years. Snubbing Hillary is not a good way to show your diplomacy. Richardson would be a good pick too.
I could not believe the delegates voted Obama in and feel that this is not a clear vote of the people. However, I think he could cinch the presidency if he got Hillary as VP....no matter how many times Clinton or her hubby go on stage to support Obama, I'm a Clinton supporter and feel she got a bum rap. I know thousands feel the same. If people were stupid enough to vote for Bush twice, then McCain stands a good chance of winning. If McCain gets in, I'm leaving the country.
It is true that Barack is getting support from the latino and white community, but the majority of his voters were black. That is a true fact. But FYI he will still need Mrs Clinton as VP to win the election because he could not win the states needed to win the national election! Most of the Hillary supporters will either vote for Mccain or not vote at all! But just like anyone else, I want him in office!
Barack has no choice but to make Clinton Vice President. She won all of the battle ground states that are needed to win the election. He also need Mrs Clinton to pull in the votes from the hispanic communities and the white vote. In the last contests, Hillary killed Obama in West Virgina,Kentucky, and Puerto Rico and I am kind of worried about that when he goes against Mccain. The black vote alone will not carry him into the white house so Clinton has to be his VP.
Obama didn't win just the black vote...he has a huge following of white, latino and other voters and he is startig t make head way with suburban voters...keep up. If black people were the only one voting for him the he would have loss the primary long long ago. oh and FYI Puerto Rico doesn't count in our election.
I will vote for Obama if he selects Clinton as his VP. If not, I vote for McCain. Obama talks about party unity. Let him prove he is genuine by making Clinton his VP.
I think Obama would be unstopable with Clinton. I'm voting DEM. In this election it wouldn't have mattered if Donald Duck was running I made up my mind along time ago I was voting DEM all the way. McDonalds can't think Darth Cheney and President Rain man for that one.
clinton and obama may have been adversaries, but they share very similar views and are working to resolve the same problems. they are both aiming to utilize federal funds to try and maintain stable accountability for the community as well as the ensuing war in iraq. i really think clinton would make vice president. in fact, she is actually in obama's favor for that position. i was shocked when i heard that he recommended her.
NO WAY should Clinton be VP. Why? Because she would be a 1st Rate Cheney clone, and I don't think Obama wants to give her that power. She would overshadow Obama. Clinton should be in the Administration making laws (not healthcare), have a massive office for her contribution to the Democratic Party. Bill with his secret finances would be a deadweight around Obama's neck. Hillary a trustworthy VP? No chance.

I'm tired of the 20 years of Clinton and Bush family residing in Washington. I rather choose someone unique and a difference making.
I like Obama and he is the only good choice out there, but He needs to improve greatly on his policies and his views must make more sense in order to get these hardcore Hiliary supporters.
it is not that obama's views don't make sense or aren't clear enough. people are just so devastated by the ensuing war and national conflicts that they don't know who to place their trust in.

I think she should back off and support him in the election. Once he is elected he can appoint her to the Supreme Court. Then the GOP will have to deal with her for another 20 years. ;o)
Should Hussien Obama be 'LIAR-IN-CHIEF'...Not when the world finds out the 'truth'...Read the 'shocking' truth on the the No.#1 website on the internet..."theobamafile"...America deserves to know what the anti-American's are paying to hide about their 'favorite son' !
Barrack: 3 words, Lyndon Baines Johnson. Putting her in the number 2 spot would be like painting a bullseye on your forehead. The feminazis would fighting for sniper spots to take you out from. Maybe a high level Secretary, WH Chief of Staff, something like that, but do not put her in VP if you have any self-preservation in you. And whatever you do make her publically recant all that BS she said at every public appearance from now till election day.
More Bill? NO, NO and hell NO. Clintons just go away please. Go back to AK. See the The Secret lives of Bill and Hilary right here on the Youtube.....
I wouldn't choose Hillary because she exaggerates (lies) ... I don't see Hillary (and Michelle) getting along either. He doesn't need two women telling him what to do (laugh).
tex, Ridiculous point of view. If the person or personality you want isn't on the ticket, you will have a tantrum and then vote the exact opposite of what both Hillary and Obama stand for for spite?
Better yet, you don't even deserve a vote on intellectual deficit alone. You're either very young or very naive.
So you don't give a shit about any form of policy. You just like her. This isn't high school and you're not voting your buddy in for class president so you can get out of class early to decorate the gym for dances!
Barack Obama's first appointee since he won the nomination:
Eric Holder, who will help him pick his VP. Holder is the man who got Mark Rich pardoned at the very end of the Clinton administration, an extremely corrupt and undeserving man who stole millions and had illegal dealings with Iran.
I imagine the GOP is 'chomping at the bit' to have Hillary be VP. Understand, if Hillary is asked and accepts the VP, the GOP will have three persons to attack...Obama, Hillary and BILL!!! Did you see recently that Bill is supposedly up to his old shenanigans? He and Gina Gershon are an item according to Vanity Fair. It will never end.
I think it would be a good idea actually, because think of this. She's lost to Obama by less than 30 delegates. That's alot of people supporting her so if she's not, they'll all vote for McCain because that's what alot of them have been saying they'll do. If she is, she'll bring all of her supporters onto Obama and almost surely, not completey sure though, Obama will win. I am an Obama supporter and I think this would be the best path to take.
Obama cannot ask Hillary to be vice president on a strategic level. He cannot propose change while embracing the Clintons. People would detect it as duplicitous and he would lose the election.
hillary sniper fire clinton is a selfish, racist whore and a sore loser just like all the dumbass rednecks who voted for her. VP? no way! she should be kicked out of the party.
if hillary becomes vice, obama wont see the end of next year cause he will be assassinated for sure, cause then she will become the president of the US.
Hillary shouldnt be VP. She will have to take the heat for everything the president does. (Obama probably wont take much time away from office. Because Hillary would do everything almost contradictory to him.)
08AMA should win The President because he has GREAT VIEWS & BETTER JUDGEMENT.
PRESIDENT MATERIAL...very intelligent, can work most definitely under pressure, more calm and assertive dealing foreign countries, more honest candidate compare to the other two.He put 100 times more effort than any other candidate.

niggers niggers niggers niggers niggers niggers i'd rather have bush back for another 4 than that nigger in office!!!niggers niggers niggers niggers niggers!!!!
yeah whateva, later mastebator.i can see your too fuckin stupid to realize it was a joke.muthafucka if you saw my channel,do i seem like the type that would vote for mccain you faggotass dick in the bootyass bitch!!
that was the whole point.that was the joke.i wanted to see what kinda response i would get and the way you sound, sounds like you take things too serious.let it go,in now way shape or form am i a sell out to my own people.
just cuz i found it funny doesent mean you had to.i was thinkin about the chappelles show (clayton bigsby)and racistass prick just for some reason crack me the fuck up.i think there funny as shit(as long as they dont say it in my face)
i love dave chappelle.i think he's one of the most gifted comedians, ever! and the clayton bigsby skits are pure genius. however we can SEE what chappelle is doing, his show has a lot of context, despite this some are still offended, that's the nature of comedy usually.but your hate speech here in a comment section doesn't have the context of a dave chappelle show,it just doesn't work. racial abuse IS serious and you don't need to do it to see what reaction you'd get, it happens too often 4 real
it dont matter whats done is done the comment is already posted, sorry if it offended you i dont make those kinda jokes often.just at the time that i posted it i thought it was funny.
thanks for apologising! i'll apologise too and retract what i said, you are not an idiot, i apologise for saying that. i hope you realised also how it didn't come across at ALL like chappelle...maybe if you did it in a vid, but you have to be very careful with that stuff.
Hillary would be a better asset in the Senate. No VP for her, not after that ugly campaign, she cares about herself - that's it. Her supporters would come around and vote for Barack anyway- to vote for McCain would be suicide.
Hillary should NOT be VP. She has already talked about assisination. I would worry that either Her, Bill or one of her crazy supporters would try to assisinate Obama.
David Iglesias - Attorney general (One of the 12 state attorney's fired for NOT towing the party line, He choose country over party and should rewarded for it also get backs would a motherfucker)
if obama picks her...he has to wait until she fully concedes and then a little while after to make sure he doesnt look like he was pressured into it. theyre right, that would be a sign of weakness
Wow, everyone is missing a key point, including Cenk and Ben: if Obama were to choose Hillary, it would be legitimizing her claims that he cannot win in the general election because he doesn't have the support of large segments of the populace.
The JFK/LBJ comparison people keep mentioning is ridiculous. There were no 24 hr cable news networks back then pouncing on every non-issue that Hillary would certainly attract to his campaign. "Are Clinton and Obama at each other's throats?" *sigh*
Very true. That's why Obama's making these stops in Appalachia lately. He wants to win over as many Hillary voters there now to make McCain spend money in those areas in the general.
If he starts creeping up in the polls, McCain will start spreading himself thin in order to shore up his base.
Then all he has to do is gin up some higher voter registration in the South and North and take a couple of the swing states and he's over the 270 delegate point.
I've got a million dollars that say it won't be Jim Webb.
Women voters are critical in this election and Jim Webb is the most notorious misogynist in the Democratic party having written viciously anti-woman articles in the past.
Put him on the ticket and you lose the woman's vote - PERIOD. NOT a good move.
I think Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is the best choice and I've got money on it that he chooses her or, as a fall back, John Edwards (assuming he changes his mind about being the Veep candidate).
The thing is, that Hillary has turned her fair and square loss to Obama into a woman's rights issue, so that any criticism of her by the press or the public is recast and spun by her as misogyny. She has made it appear that Obama's win is illegitimate, so there can be no peace with his supporters.
They are still screaming "I'M NOT YOUR SWEETIE!" Can you IMAGINE what they'll scream if he puts Jim "Tailhook" Webb on the ticket?
Agreed... Webb has allot of "esplainin" to do but I think it can easily be overcome. It would be easier to explain that than not haveing the cridentails on National secrurity.
It's interesting to me... That the women who feel so strongly about "Women rights" would vote or stir the election towards McCain, who's base wants to overturn Roe v Wade, which the by way could be easily done based on it's merit, would sacrifice such a key precedent of the 14th amendment that many fought so hard to acheive. It only tells me that have no real personal stake in the matter, other than their own pride.
Hehe.. Well, you forget, McCain and Hillary teamed up against Barack and virtually ignored each other, so all of Hillary's misandrous vitriol has been almost neuro-linguistically anchored to Obama's person by her and her coven.
McCain is a harmless grandpa in their eyes, but Barack is the "young male upstart" that came along and stole their job promotion.
They don't see it as their candidate losing because she sucked. They were sold the "we was robbed!" excuse and now that's their anthem.
There's something about Obama that trumps the regular fray and it's scaring the hell out of the self appointed natives how he even got this far is beyond the math.
The short answer to the question would be: No, because you can't make rfk assassination remarks toward the end of a political campaign that you are loosing, especially when someone approximately a week earlier made the same mistake. Some things you "say" and "do" are deal breakers.
Marx was an economist. He never wrote a single word that you're attributing to him. That all sounds more like Mao. "Political power comes from the barrel of a gun" or something like that.
Hillary is for Hillary, period. The reason she invited herself to Mr. Obamas party is because she would not get an invite. Further by putting it out there It forces Obama to deal with her and suffer the consequences. Neither will get out of this unscathed. Hillary is for Hillary. Imagine trying to Presidential with Billary butting in at every turn. Ex-Presidents should know better. They don't care. Billary is for Billary.
it's more to do with clinton's and obama's supporters than anything clinton would do. did you hear Carter's (as in Jimmy) comments about this? it's to do with how an obama/clinton ticket would affect them electorally. he suggested that would double their individual negatives: racist whites wouldn't want to be voting for obama and some obama supporters just do not want to vote for clinton (see some of the comments above). i think i agree with him. this is such a crucial decision.
Listening to fox and other U.S. media to much eh?
Remember 9.11? what about the wasteful spending that was brought about through bureaucracies aka homeland security which has not done a dam thing but bankrupt U.S. cauffers even more. As if the Economic stimulus checks have not bankrupted the economy enough.
every voter should research enough to discover the all inclusive cost to taxpayers of each member of Congress. Take a few hours and do it prior to next election cycle of your Rep. Then look into the influence Corporate has on our Legislative process. Remember that corporations cannot vote, Companies cannot vote. Yet time after time after time the vote goes in favor of business. Anyone that believes ANY politician isn't whored to business WAKE-UP.
jerdeb: Good comment. I believe this is the single biggest problem we've got in the country. Everywhere you look, federal policies favor the multi-nations or other very large national companies. The influence is huge, the media appears to be controlled by a few huge companies. Somehow it's got to be brought under control.
STOP FUCKING USING THE KENNEDY/JOHNSON EXAMPLE!! THIS IS DIFFERENT!!! And WE ALL KNOW THAT JOHNSON WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN KENNEDY'S ASSASSINATION. IF HILLARY IS ON THE TICKET, I WILL STOP VOTING DEMOCRAT AND WILL STOP DONATING TO OBAMA.
if hillary could not manage her campaign well enough to see past super tuesday, could not keep bill under control, could not, with clinton resources and with the clinton name, beat a virtual unknown(obama), what makes her qualified for the vp slot?
NEVER Tidusquall10x! NEVER!! She is divisive, negative, and brings NOTHING BUT BAGGAGE to the NIGHTMARE TICKET. She's not trustworthy and she's denigrated Obama. She can't even pay her campaign bills.
Iraq is not Vietnam !!!! Afghan is not Vietnam !!!! There isn't forest !!!! There are not many caves !!!! We can win !!!! As long as we think we can win !!!! As far as we think we can win !!!! No Surrender !!!! No 2nd Vietnam War !!!! We must win !!!! For the world peace !!!!
World peace with ambitions of men such as bush and his lakies not counting other nations.
Whats to win? An illegal war perhaps. Which violated U.S. constitutional law and U.N. Security Council laws. Now the Bush administration seems to be salivating over the opportunity to attack Iran. Let them build their nuclear power stations.
If American policy continues on the path its on now the U.S. will destroy itself from within.
Victory0404... The original cause was the Veitnam war and not the social programs which were actually started in the in the 1930's...
Sustained War always depletes the economic resources of all empires, including America.
You have to have social programs in place to augment the social injustices carried out by big business or corperate monopolies or else you're just a first rate third world.
Yeah. I wish she was. That way it would weaken the democratic party more with their internal wars.

Maybe a high level Secretary, WH Chief of Staff, something like that, but do not put her in VP if you have any self-preservation in you. If the whole Obama meme is "change", it'd be kind of counterintuitive to select the one who personifies the Democratic status quo.
However, if a Supreme Court slot opens up during the Obama administration, I'd pick Hillary, ASAP.
My money's on Webb, based on the foreign policy/military experience; if you read his new book, you can see how close he is to Obama ideologically.

No, I think she needs to go back to the Senate.
She cannot be allowed to even SMELL the White House or any position of power that requires judgment and strategic thinking.
Her last 4 strategic decisions were to
1) Vote to authorize the Iraq war
2) Vote to brand Iran's military as a terrorist organization
3) Cosponsor a video game censorship bill and
4) Cosponsor an anti-flag burning censorship bill
She's doing enough damage to freedom in the Senate as it is. She doesn't need more access...

John McCain FTW
inhaledabullet 3 years ago
Wow, everyone is missing a key point, including Cenk and Ben: if Obama were to choose Hillary, it would be legitimizing her claims that he cannot win in the general election because he doesn't have the support of large segments of the populace.
The JFK/LBJ comparison people keep mentioning is ridiculous. There were no 24 hr cable news networks back then pouncing on every non-issue that Hillary would certainly attract to his campaign. "Are Clinton and Obama at each other's throats?" *sigh*
MichaelMogg 3 years ago
That way, he doesn't need Hillary at all.
morpheusxnyc 3 years ago
I've got a million dollars that say it won't be Jim Webb.
Women voters are critical in this election and Jim Webb is the most notorious misogynist in the Democratic party having written viciously anti-woman articles in the past.
Put him on the ticket and you lose the woman's vote - PERIOD. NOT a good move.
I think Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is the best choice and I've got money on it that he chooses her or, as a fall back, John Edwards (assuming he changes his mind about being the Veep candidate).
morpheusxnyc 3 years ago
morpheusxnyc... Hmm... I'll take that bet.
Yes while Webb has been known to be a bit of pig when it comes to women in combat, he has since recanted and now sees the role that women now play.
But Webb's Navy Cross would offset McCain's POW vet status as they both served in Vietnam for which Obama couldn't compete.
Webb would also bulster Obama's security perception on the war against terror as he was Secretary of the Navy 1987 under the Reagan Admin
If you win the bet will you accept a check?
Pleblian 3 years ago
lol.. I'm betting with Monopoly money, so...
He'll lose. Period. :(
morpheusxnyc 3 years ago
Agreed... Webb has allot of "esplainin" to do but I think it can easily be overcome. It would be easier to explain that than not haveing the cridentails on National secrurity.
Pleblian 3 years ago
It's interesting to me... That the women who feel so strongly about "Women rights" would vote or stir the election towards McCain, who's base wants to overturn Roe v Wade, which the by way could be easily done based on it's merit, would sacrifice such a key precedent of the 14th amendment that many fought so hard to acheive. It only tells me that have no real personal stake in the matter, other than their own pride.
And I only accept mickey mouse dollars
Pleblian 3 years ago
They were sold the "we was robbed!" excuse and now that's their anthem.

it's more to do with clinton's and obama's supporters than anything clinton would do. did you hear Carter's (as in Jimmy) comments about this? it's to do with how an obama/clinton ticket would affect them electorally. he suggested that would double their individual negatives: racist whites wouldn't want to be voting for obama and some obama supporters just do not want to vote for clinton (see some of the comments above). i think i agree with him. this is such a crucial decision.

every voter should research enough to discover the all inclusive cost to taxpayers of each member of Congress.
