  • John Bonham, Ringo Starr, Bill Ward, Alex Van Halen....those names alone show you how good this company is.

  • I love the sound of Ludwigs. It has that boomy "doog doog doog doog" sound to it.

  • Which snare is at 2:22 plz awnser

  • Did anyone notice that the guy at 1:40 was singing the cantina band song from star wars?... anyone?

  • What is the name of the song in1:24?

  • NEIL PEART'S LUDWIG's DESTROY THOSE CRAPPY DW'S HE USES THESE DAYS

  • I'm the proud owner of two Ludwig kits. I've never played anything else, and never will! Love me my Ludwigs!!!!!!

  • ludwig and gretsch are the best for ever and ever..............:)

  • where the hell is ian paice?

  • Ludwig > Pearl

  • ringo... ringo.... Ringo Ringo Ringoooooo!!!!!! RINGO STARR

  • Ludwig for me forever !!! No other kit sounds like a Ludwig !!!

  • Hes said it many times, Ludwig has helped 3 Hands (ray3handssnowdotcom)

develope those "incrible hands", (changing the instrument)...

  • I have the 70's Ludwig,snare,13,14,15tom toms,18x20 floor tom, 24 inch bass all clear except the snare...14 in was a melodic tom

  • Ludwig - best reason to play drums!!

  • i love ludwigs!!! i have some!! they r amazing!! woo hoo ringo!!

  • I like Tama drums, and was cosidering them for a while. But Ive decided that Ludwig is my way to go. They arent over-marketed, over-priced, or overrated. Plus they are the classic drums. What company can beat that?

  • I own a Ludwig Pinnacle drum set, a beginner set, and I think it sounds better than some intermidiate kits I see in different brands.

  • would you guys recomend the Ludwig Epic Series drums?

  • i have an old ludwig i think its from 79 or early 80s it has the yellowish and blue badge. im considering upgrading to a new and bigger centennial set but im not sure. Which one will sound better??

  • Ludwigs have to be the best drums in the worl.....no they are the best drums in the world. just bought my US made hammered bronze piccolo and its amazing thank you Theobald and William.

  • Wow Jason Mcgerr is good! His band is not really my bag though baby.

  • Ludwig are just the best they've got that perfect sound that no other drum make have. DW are good but thay all sound the same. Nothing beats a ludwig drum kit with paiste cymbals.

  • you cant buy any bertter drums , there the best drums, thank you ludwig family

  • I have played Ludwigs since 1964 and I am still using my 64 Speed King pedal

  • @gofries Hey shut the #@%* up just cause you suck doesn't mean crap about ringo!

  • @stevedrummer711 I don't suck. You suck, because you don't know that in recordings, Paul Mccartney played Ringo's drum parts.

  • ok is ludwig meant to be vintage or meant to compete with the other companies these days??

  • I have Ludwig Classic Maple Zep set from 2009. Natural maple finish. Best sounding and looking drum set in the world!

  • Ludwig RULE!!!

  • damn i have to listen to more death cab for cutie.

  • YEAH! Ginger Baker at 1:25 :)))

  • my father in law told me about a set he had in his atick. I went to explore and founf a 1974 double bass 18 piece set with zildian cymbals all in cases from his days in a band in italy after Nam Black with out a scratch. Fucking amazing

  • An old set of Ludwigs, if properly muffled, make a deafening "THUD". My daddy had a set stamped from 1964 and they sounded like a dynamite explosion.

  • Are Ludwig drums better than DW drums?

  • you should ask Ringo, Bohan,Paice, Baker and Joe Morello.

  • hahahaha. Ludwigs are WAYYY better then DW. Ive got a 70's Ludwig Pro Beat 6 piece kit i found on craigslist. MASSIVE tone. 24 inch kick.

  • @beansemo Heck no unless your comparing a junky china made ludwig with a DW. but if i had to play any drums besides ludwig it would be DW or TAMA

  • @beansemo I don't know about better, but Ludwigs sure have more character.

  • @beansemo different beasts--I've owned both company's drums( and they BOTH are great! )...I just bought my 84th kit..a ludwig legacy Classic--the best drums they ever built!!

  • @beansemo depending on situation... to me Ludwig is more a rock sound, but DW is bigger and controlled

  • What's that for a song at 1:24?

  • Who cares?

  • Gretsch Rocks!

  • GINGER BAKER JOHN BONHAM WOOOT

  • makes you proud!!!!!!!!!!i have the john bonham replica!!!!!!!!

  • just ordered a ludwig legacy bun e. carlos signature kit.

  • i'm one of the luckiest bastards in the world for what i found this summer, and purchased for a price that would have a any hardcore ludwig collector scream with envy..a very rare, 50's leedy ludwig, 6x14 mahogany snare with maple reinforcement rings, and imperial lugs as you'd see on any supraphonic snare drum. ..the finish is gorgeous, dark and impeccable !..and i only payed ..LOL !. $50 ..now my '71 ,5x14 supraphonic has a new companion for life ! AND MATCHING KICK FOR ANOTHER $75 !! ;)

  • *Screams with Envy*

You lucky bastard! I didn't actually scream, but I did actually do a double take, I couldn't believe my eyes.

  • thanks , man !..i think that every drummer gets one lucky shot like that in their lifetime...i'm sure yours will come in good time !!! you just have to look and look and search like i did..!!

  • Yeah, lol, the closest I've come is an 80s Premier that I picked up for £30, when it was worth along the lines of £90 - £100. A good drum, though.

  • My prize possession in life is my 2 Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl a pre-Ringo -1958, I call it Ringo's dream and a1963, both with matching jazz fest snare. I keep at least an inventory of 10 vintage drum in my garage, I buy some sell some but can't part with this 2.. it 's like owning the Holy Grail & the Arc of the Covenant at the same time. Holy Ringo'

  • ludwig is the badass grandma of drums

  • 2:36 alex van halen, he has the best drum soung i've ever heard. unfuckingdoubtably the best snare and drum sound i've ever heard and will hear.

  • Bonham's snare is the best sounding snare drum EVER!!

  • yes bonham's snare sound is amazing but listen to the balance tour snare its amazing. but bonham and alex used the same snare, so they both sound great.

  • the first three drummers they show at 1:25 are all the reason to use Ludwig! JOHN BONHAM, GINGER BAKER, and DON BREWER!

  • the first three drummers they show at 1:25are all the reason in the world to use Ludwig, GINGER BAKER, JOHN BONHAM, and DON BREWER!!!

  • proud owner of the Legacy Exotic Kit from Namm 2009, they are amazing!

  • Please tell me more!!! I've heard so much about the Legacy. I heard that Alex Van Halen used them on the 2007/08 Van Halen tour? I LOVE LUDWIG DRUMS!!

  • I've had Ludwig kits from the mid 70's, Octaplus and Vistalites to the 80's SuperClassics. love them all! This kit can be tuned extremely low with plent of punch,The bass drum is a cannon and they have great range from the 10" to the 16". I'm still experimenting with the heads. There will be a write-up about them in DRUM magazine soon. Not sure about Alex, but it wouldn't surprise me. They are Ludwigs pride and joy righ now :) e

  • Thanks mate! I heard recently that Ludwig can make you a 20in length for the bass drums? It would be a special order, but that's fantastic news knowing that Ludwig will make you any size you wish for!

  • Patrick Keeler + Ludwig = pure ecstasy !

  • ludwigs= my favorite

  • You all are the best, creators and users alike.

  • David Parks of LoCash Cowboys!!!

  • Awesome I want it now!!!!!!
