  • Oh, thats all? Honestly thought it would be alot worse, but Im sure it hurt like hell for the patient when they woke up oAo

  • I just had an eye surgery on my right eye and got intacs rings in my cornea now, but obviously my keratoconus condition was really bad that the intacs didn't help at all. I guess I'm facing this same surgery soon and it sure doesn't look nice :(

  • mini spatula........lol,also nasty

  • These types of eye surgeries are done under anesthetics so the patient is asleep

  • i could not watch this! its crazy... even if i needed this i dont know if i could go through with it!

  • omfg I'd rather be blind

  • yes, i know im weird, but it actually looks kinda pretty to me!

  • I have no idea what this is all about,

It's gonna be painful, physically and mentally.

    God Bless Us.

  • THEY STITCHED IT IN THE END!!!!

My eyes... oh my eyes are hurting!

  • @TsakirisAlexandros i know!!! i was cringing!!

  • You've got to be kidding me!

  • you are crazy XD

  • gahh! he pinches the eye:O

  • they have to knock me out cold to do this shit to me

  • this is coooool..!:D

  • OMG i was like cringing as they were doing this. that looks like you'd be crying a fucking shitload.

  • They are replacing a diseased cornea...

  • @Frozenmonkey2 this is a Lamellar Keratoplasty for replacing a diseased cornea, not cosmetic. READ.

  • Lamellar Hinderton Lad and Lamellar Love Me Do at Llanwenarth - please do your research!

  • wow, i hope to always have my good vision.

  • that's what i gotta go through when im putting my contacts in...

    really

  • ur dumb.... lol.... you have no idea... puting contacts in is nothing like this... at all.... like... its a 0.0000000000000000000001% of the pain from this operation... post op and pre op. you have no idea...

  • the video is awesome jajaja

    que buena cornea

  • I think this patient had stromal corneal dystrophy. But this surgery involves only the anterior layers of the cornea. A deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) should have been performed to get a clear media. Also, I feel that there would develop a severe interface irregularity in this eye.

  • Does this patient suffer and pain?

  • hopefully.

  • Can you get a Corneal transplant just for eye color reasons? I have boring brown eyes and I want to have green eyes! I hope I can find a donar!

  • The Iris of the eye is responsible for your eye color. The cornea is transparent.

  • Are you serious? I hope not..if so, you're a real dumbass.

  • Otimag, for example, has a condition called keratoconus, in which the cornea has a cone shape, which is often treated successfully at first with contact lenses. However, as it worsens, many patients require surgery (the one shown in video is but one example).

  • Was that a cone.... dosent look like one

  • i had that too and have had two cornea transplants

  • Remember, there are lots of different disorders of the cornea, and each one is treated in a different way.

  • Greetings, I invite you to visit qxeyes is a website dedicated to sharing eye, there you can upload your video or add the url from youtube if you prefer, you can also view documents, articles and discuss videos.

  • this is for change the color eyes?

  • Since your procedure is in january try to check out other possibilities.

    Good Luck.

P.s. After the cornea transplant my vision improved a lot.

  • And i heard that people that suffer from keratocone have nowadays new procedures, i think the one we see above its one that. It consists of putting a ´´ring´´ that prevent the development of the keratocone and of course improves sight.

Its a good idea to speak to your dctor about that also, because even that cornea transplant is done nowadays in a routine kind of way, its always a strange body in you that can be rejected by your organism.

  • Recently i´ve been using contact lenses, that really improved my vision a LOT!

I have been losing sight due to stimatism, if you are having a transplant i think its a good idea to talk with your doctor about using contact lenses (after procedure), it has been told to me that if i had use them earlier the stigmatism wouldnt developed so fast.

  • I had cornea transplant 20 years ago, it went well, no pain since i went out with general anesthesia.

The problem is that during the years cornea transplants tend to develop stigmatism, wich damage gradually your vision a lot.

  • Please send me a message if you have had a cornea transplant!

    How did it go?

Is your vision somewhat normal, better than it was?

How was the healing process? Any pain?

Let me know as much as you can remember as I am getting this done in January!

    Thanks!

  • This is my video; I wanted to address misconceptions in your comments. First, there is NO PAIN because anesthesia is used (not general--put to sleep; instead, local--using numbing drops & a shot around eye). Second, this procedure is completely different from LASIK/refractive surgery (reshaping a healthy cornea to eliminate glasses/contacts). In video, the cornea (like a cameras lens) is damaged, preventing/distorting light entering eye. Oversimplified. Please ask ?s if unclear.

    God Bless.

  • WTF

  • good thing they put you to sleep.

  • looks painful

  • what´s this 4??

  • eww...that looks awesome..

  • thats fake right tell me its fake gross!!!!!!! wait guessing its not because kaplandsme got it done grosss it seems like it hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just had this done last week , i feel fine its not as bad as it sounds

  • ihh!

  • iih?!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAH! OMG!

  • OMG

  • what. the. fuck.

  • I am having this done in a few weeks! Yeaaaa. Hopefully i will be able to see again.

  • HI. If you don't mind, please let me know how your surgery went. I need to have this procedure done on both of my eyes. Thanks!
