This song does sound like something made by the Bravery... but so what ? I don't think it's a bad thing... Besides, it's nice to see Pinoy bands look to american indy music for inspiration....This is 10x better than what Pupil is trying to do ripping off old interpol music. Hopefully this help the Pinoy music scene move forward and would love to see more bands like TBC.

although some artists do do that in the beginning, making their songs radio friendly then when they "make it big" they do something totally out of left field, which may alienate their bubble gum fans but give the artists their own artistic fulfillment.
you see, my american friends love to listen to japanese and korean music. maybe those songs are influenced by foreign trends. i dont know, but they are definitely different because there's this japanese-y and korean-y thing about them. i think its best if we add more filipino-y stuff into our things than western-y things.

Dalawa ang national language ng bansa, Filipino and English. If the language is the only basis for us to call something really Filipino, a standard bearer of culture, then we should be giving cultural awards to Wowowee or to that "bading" song that's proliferating right now. Ang kultura ng Pinoy ay hindi nakalagay sa isang vacuum. Buhay ito.

i thihnk to have that "Filipino-y" factor, songs should be sang in Tagalog. Ano pa ba magbibigay ng tatak Pinoy sa isang kanta except our own language? I think this band is unique, pero it doesnt mean na gusto ko sila.

The fact that a song like this iswritten by a Filipino makes it Filipino. Hindi ibig sabihin na kapag Tagalog ang kanta, tatak Filipino yun. Dalawa ang national language ng bansa, Filipino and English. If the language is the only basis for us to call something really Filipino, a standard bearer of culture, then we should be giving cultural awards to Wowowee or to that "bading" song that's proliferating right now. Ang kultura ng Pinoy ay hindi nakalagay sa isang vacuum. Buhay ito.

Check the website of the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts and see that we have two national languages. This is the reason why we have two languages as medium for instruction in our schools. This is the reason why when you graduate, the diploma has both English and Filipino translations. I see your point about the "pang-international" factor and I agree that language plays a big role. But Filipino is quality, kalidad kumbaga.

well..its OK if a band wants to embrace the western music, but they should enhance first their skills rather than to rock out in a gig but still have flaws.if youre going to ask me this band especially the vox dont have talent at all.i mean no talent whatsoever.ive heard her sing a lot of times but still shes out-of-tune,i dont know if their fans dont know about it or just simply tone deaf.i really dont like over rated artists still lacking in talent.

Guys try to relax yourselves. Yes, you are the fans but you are not TC. Bakit parang kayo tinatamaan or baka naman kasi tinamaan yung mga EGO ninyo? Again if in your opinion, this is a good band; in my opinion it is not. See, opinions will always have two sides: positive and negative so please don't whine about it. obviously medyo mukhng sintunado sa una....pero pag inulit ulit mo...magiging normal na...unless you're not really used to this kind of sound you wont hear the essence of why she sings like that.nice band...dpat ang criticism mo hindi harsh...may patruth hurts truth hurts kapang nalalaman.unless you've seen her live and may reasonable point ka, then just find another band to listen.kapische!=D
