  • @maxolsonsk8 yeah the crash is still for sale! Inbox me an offer!

  • Do you still have any of the crashes for sale??

  • I've been considering this set and now I think they are worth picking up. Thanks a lot for the video. Much appreciated.

  • fuck i should have spent the extra money and went with the aax hi hat instead of the b8 it aint the best

  • nice video man, best one iv'e seen.

  • that 14'' hi hat you played first, im crying its so beautiful ='))

  • @ImAllThat007 Hahaha :')

  • i just got an aa rock crash, and it sounds like sex.

  • are better the HH than the HHX?

  • I don't think so

  • U hit the bell of the ride in such the wrong spot

  • I miss when my hats had their logos.. :(

  • your a great cymbal tester man. Most ppl either are afraid of hitting the cymbal or try to kill it!! You are like the perfect mix, right in between. Great job man

  • I'd use b8s for now because I have no drum experience and don't want to buy something I don't like. Zbts are horrid like these but are better than agazarian cymbals I have

Of course cast cymbals are higher quality I would get some when I'm better at drumming from my own pocket not my parents

  • Ive had AA for ever & they bloody smash anything. All AA Rock series.

I bought the AA Sizzle hats, try & get more Sizzle out of a hi hat..

  • In my opinion , stage series(AAX) have the ''worth'' cymbals of the AAX

  • @thecravenator42069 i think b8 and b8 pro sounds better =)

  • sabian the best cymbals ever made \m/

  • have you ever heard or played the aax raw bell dry ride 21'' it wil give you an eargasm such a good quality cymbal!

  • @kijkenify I havent! might have to try one :D

  • i think b8 is better = )

  • @royalrepublic11 You obviously have never played any professional quality cymbals! B8 use sheet metal, AAX and HHX are Cast Cymbals! Cast Cymbals > Sheet metal Cymbals :)

  • @calummordue you're right i have heard the aax cymbals and now i hate my b8 cymbals !!

help me i need a new ride cymbal whitch should i get ?? = )

  • @royalrepublic11 Urm im not sure, i haven't looked at new cymbals for a while. Most of the AAX Lines are awesome, I'd defiantly recommend the Stage ride :) mine is awesome :D Check out my Latest videos where i use it as a crash :)

  • @royalrepublic11 ill sell u my b8 10 inch splash so just pm and i can make a video so u can hear how it sounds i git it for 55 but i could sell it to u for 40 cuz its used thanks

  • @jndrumproductions no thanks man i just want a new ride cymbal becaus i hate the b8 ride cymbals

  • @royalrepublic11 lol you're funny ! xD

  • wich cymbals I should get AA or AAX?

  • @Goldena2011 I would say AAX :)

  • @calummordue ok thanks

  • wich cymbals I should get: AA or AAX?

  • Why are (my) best cymbals muted?

  • I need to get cymbals that is good and has a fair price... Do you think i should get B8 Pro, AAX, HHX or Sx20?

  • @joshuachan56 I would certainly recommend the HHX and AAX, obviously the HHX are way better but they cost so much more!

  • @joshuachan56 b8 pro is'nt worth t to they're too low end

xs20 last along time but the sound isn't really anything to write home about and the amount you'd spend on them you might as well go for aa or aax that sound great too.

I cant comment on hhx I've never owned any but I use aax myself

and I think its interesting that even drummers who are endorsed by Sabain use AAX more often than HHX or Vault as far as I've seen

  • does the ride crash nicely?

  • @ginomilitano57 Yeah i use it as a crash now :D

  • the hhxplosion is difficult to get out of the way, isn't it too resonant?

  • @yesucan96 No i find it sounds awesome, watch my latest video, its not over powering :D

  • the only good cymbals were the crash cymbals, the hats and ride weren't in my taste at all.

  • your cymbals sounds so fucking amazing, love them <3

  • @JoedVatruna07 SO DO I :D

  • thank you very much dude, been looking for this vid for quite a while

  • can you give a demo of the stage d-ride with the thinys on them you now the fiber parts

  • u make me want my stage hats back. i sold them because they're terribly bright and whimsy sounding like zits. urs sound just right

  • hi hats suck while opened

  • @BowProAce cuz he put the hats really close together, if there opened more there awesome

  • bell on the ride isnt that great but they all sound very nice

  • HHXplosion 10* !!

  • I have an aaxplosion 18" crash cymbal...but i cant get the nice crash sound...is there a reason why?

  • how hard to u hit it?

  • I hit it hard and with the body of my stick. I just cant get that nice crash sound that i hear on youtube.

  • is it cracked?

  • Does how its placed on the stand have anything to do with the cymbal sound?

  • yeah, if it is too angled down then it wont crash as much, u will get more ping, try having it flat.

  • dont put it exactly flat put it at a slight angle this will help prevent cracking

  • @Zynpar09 if its new itll need time to break in

  • Going to buy tomorrow the AAX stage ride. Awesome sound.

  • Stage Hats sound very nice, I've always wanted a pair. But I prefer the Metal Ride over the Stage any day.

  • these sound just like A customs... the finish even looks identical. to be honest, i have to give the A customs the edge here, with the exception of the AAX stage ride, which i think is fucking beastly in every way.

  • @chrisliowknicksfan the HHX sounds nothing like a A custom.

  • what?? where did i say the hhx sounded like the A custom? i was talking about the aax line.

  • dude thanks a lot for the vid i am serioely considering this and the 19" hhxplosion

  • I had played for almost 20 y on paiste, but now i have sabian, much better sound in the high tones and thicker.

  • i'm buying these right now!

  • do you have the money?

  • @verhoevenjef en heb je ze al?

  • Awesome sounding cymbals

  • With the nylon point in your sticks, sounds better

  • hes not playing the drums hes testing the sound of his various cymbals...

  • just to say...this is actually really accurate!

  • youre so cool, I wanna grow up to be just like you.

  • yeah bell on the ride's pretty quiet and xplosion crashes are the best ;)

  • i dont like bell on that ride.

  • 20" HH Classic Ride sounds better :3

  • totally! or the 22" Rock Ride which I use...killer!

  • yup!

  • (accidentally wrote but) :L

  • A got a set of aax stage (hi hats, 20" ride and 16" crash) off eBay for £250. I hate the crash. It sounds wayyy better on this video. I compared it with my old zxt crash and I preffered that. Maybe because was used to the sound of the zxts, but

  • i'm always confused with it, but the AAX is a hand hammered serie right?

  • Nope, the HH and HHX are Hand Hammered

  • no. only hh is hand hammered. hhx only has the hh in it because its also dark (like hh.)

at least i think thats it... at least i know that aax definitely isnt hand hammered. hope that helps.

  • no, HH is more the vintage style like AA, but HH is hand hammerd.

HHX belongs to the more modern sound like AAX, but the HHX is hand hammerd

  • yeh i knew about the modern bright, modern dark, vintage bright, vintage dark etc.

but i thought that hhx was the dark equivolent to aax and on the sabian forum they said it was impossible to make the whole "dynamic focus" thing on a hand hammered cymbal

  • yeh turns out you're right hhx is hand hammered. i just thought it wasnt 'cause at one point someone on the sabian forum said you cant put the dynamic focus thing on a hand hammered cymbal. i guess hhx has a similar kind of thing but not the same.

  • are these durable? like do they last long? im a hard hitter and am trying to find cymbals that arent expensive but wont crack

  • Yeah, i have had these for a year now and gigged them and recorded them loads and there fine!

  • are they expensive? do you think they would last longer than Meinl MCSs?

  • They are relatively expensive but if you buy them in a pack they are less. i don't know much about menial so i couldn't say.

  • ok. thanks.

  • how much would the AAX 14" high hat and the 16: crash cos if any one knows could you tell me please it would be realy help full thnx

  • And holy shit, please get a professional job in cymbal recording; that is the best sound quality I've ever heard on YouTube. What exact model is that of your Sony Handycam?

Please let me know, I'm going to buy one immediately.

  • I am the biggest die-hard Zildjian fan, and I own all A Customs. But god damn, that Stage Ride is sending my A Custom one on Craigslist. I am breaking down and switching to Sabian

  • :D i love my ride :)

  • if i have it correct, Bob Zildjian, the owner of sabian is brothers with Avedis Zildjian, the owner of Zildjian?

  • yeh. bob left the company because of arguments i think and made sabian. naming it aftr the first two letters of his childrens names which i cant remember off the top of my head.

(might be sandy billy and andy. not sure though.)

  • wow , it`s between Zildjian A Customs or AAX`s , after seeing this im sort of leaning towards teh AAX`s anyone have any opinions please reply , btw , NICE CYMBALS DUDE!

  • same exact thing goes for me =)

  • 2:26 holy shit!! WOBBLE WOBBLE!

  • dont like the the hi hats pinging

  • these are sick man

  • I'm so getting that ride, this solidified my decision.

  • XD!

  • this really helped me make up my mind.

  • Great, exactly what i set out to do :D

  • Nice cymbal set up. The hats sound so bright and cutting. The ride sound good except for the bell, but I think it sounds killer as a crash. The Stage crash sounds amazing, nice and washy. The HHX sound very dark but cutting at the same time. That what I really like about Sabian cymbals, they can come up with any sound you want. My favorite cymbals are the AAX Metal crashes, cause they're a very loud and bright cut to them.

  • There great :D i thinking of getting another HHX crash, maybe 19" or 17* "D

  • hello what cymbals do you think sound better pst3,zildrilian or sabian b8

  • None of them. Save up and get pro level cymbals so AAX! You can buy used as well, usually getting good deals. (make sure there are no cracks!) Buy cymbals in packs so u get a better deal!

  • paiste pst3

  • Choose what you think sounds better.

  • aax dark crash, 18 inch. trust me this one of the best crash cymbals

  • Yep. Its totally up to you mate. I would go try them out! u may find you don't like any of them! Make sure you find two crashes which complement each other if your going to swap lines or brands.

  • The regular x-plosions are, Medium - Thin. I know this sounds stupid but if u have a thicker cymbal you will crack it quicker than a thin cymbal, because the thin cymbal can move and flex more.

  • How does that work, if this was the case, then ALL metal drummers ''should'' be using thin cymbals, but they clearly dont.

  • yeah, they make different sounds don't they!

  • i haven't heard or played a x- plosion fast crash so i wouldnt know but the regular x- plosion are brilliant!

  • Well the AA metal X line are for metal drummers...

  • omg 2:26

  • :)..........

  • lol we have the same drumsticks

  • i have wooden drumsticks too :)

  • dont really lik the bell on the ride

  • I prefer the bell on the HHX to be honest

  • HHXtreme + HHXplosion + AAXplosion = Best sounding cymbals imo period....... I will rest in peace after i collect all of them.

  • which r betr, AAX-X-plosion's or stage?

  • erm, its hard to say, it entirely depends on what type of music you play. in my opinion x-plosion is better

  • what cymbal is most heavy for Rock music, AAX stage or AAXplosion ?

  • use nylon tips dude...

  • I did in the first year and half playing but i decided my ride sounds alot better with wood :) Why you say nylon?

  • it gives cymbals a much brighter and better sound while live and in recording.

wood makes cymbals sound very dry.

aget a nylon stick and a wood stick and hit the ride cymbal lightly with the tip with each one at different times. you'll notice a remarkable difference.

  • silver...

  • im lookin for a good china cymbal that has short decay and is relativly low priced which type of sabian china would be the best to fit those reqirements?

  • I have a Stagg SH 16" china which was like £35. It sounds really good! I will post a vid showing it :)

  • thanks that helped alot!

  • u gottah practice the swing beat

  • hahaha stick flying outta nowhere and blasting the cymbal - shocked me few times :D

  • ha u have the same sticks as me vic firth

  • Great :)

  • When are you ever going to use the bell of a hi hats, or not hit it from the side, or use a 16 inch crash as a ride. Stop messing around and show the cymbals only for the purpose that they will serve.

  • I'm not sure i ever used the 16" crash as a ride! I wasn't Messing around, i was showing what the cymbals are capable of. Why don't u take your USELESS comments somewhere else!

  • he was showing the purpose they serve.

  • So you hit your hi hats on the bell and use your crashes as rides? Jeez, what's the world coming to.

  • I use the bell on my hi-hat, and ride on my crash. What's wrong with it?

  • I know, a lot of people do that. So do I. Decentdrummer911 just isn't being very creative like we are ;)

  • Jojo Mayer uses the bell on the hats sometimes. And alot of pros use crashes as light rides. Theres even 18" inch Crash/Ride. Its all personal preference anyways. I use the bell on my hats, and use use my 16" crash when I play lighter beats like jazz. But anyone can use cymbals the way they like so have fun!

  • meant to say I use my 16" crash as a light ride :)

  • How much overtones has the AAX ride? Has it clear stick definition? hope you could help me!

  • Yeah it is good not the best i have played but centennially would recommend it

  • ive been looking to buy a new ride but i play alot of hardcore genre stuff is the stage ride a good ride to crash on?

  • Yeah its pretty good, i use it for a crash in many songs :)

  • lol. 2:37-2:32! btw, nice cymbals man

  • which is better aax or hhx? whats the difference between stage and studio?

  • HHX is better than AAX, but HHX is "Modern Dark" and AAX is "Modern Bright" so they are good in there own way. I Think HHX is better as it has hand hammering and just sounds nicer. im not sure about the stage and studio stuff....

  • no professional level cymbals is "better" than any other. it's all about personal preference. as for stage vs. studio, studio is thinner weight and stage is more medium weight

  • whats the difference in Modern Dark and Modern Bright? what does it mean???

  • straight from sabian

"Hot, simmering darkness is the sound of HHX. With its 'Tone Projection' design, this 'Modern Dark' cymbal shoots its tone through the music around it. Darker, dryer, dirtier, funkier... only HHX delivers darkness with such efficiency."

  • "With its 'Dynamic Focus' design ensuring total response accuracy and modern bright, shimmering sounds at all volume levels, AAX gives you control in any style of music. Touch it... thrash it. Only AAX delivers such consistently crisp, clear responses."

  • i prefer aax personally just cus it will cut through anything at any volume without compromising its tonal quality but its all a matter of opinion.

  • what is the best Sabian series ? like (A,AAX)

  • HH...hands down! Hand Hammered for fuck sake!

  • Personally the HHX. but i have herd good things about the HH and Vault...

  • hey, whats the durability like on these cymbals?

  • erm i have had them since October and there is not cracks or key holing. the hihats are pretty thick. it good there not doing to brake in a hurry if ur kind to them.

  • How do you like the stage ride and the HHX crash? and what HHX crash do you have?

  • ERM, the ride is amazing!, the HHX is in another class though! Its in the description, 18" HHXplosion Crash

  • Oh, ok thanks. I'll probably get the Stage Ride, and I'm getting either a 14" HHXPlosion Crash or 15" HHX Studio Crash, and an 17" AAXPlosion Crash.

  • HAHA, fucking sick in slow motion :D

  • i thought that was pritty good too!

  • Cheers mate for this video i have just bought XS20s but hope in the future to get AAX
