  • Hello, I'm Dr. Kia McCullen. I've been working with cdiff infected individuals and I'm finding around 80% of the people I am working with are being helped with my protocol. To learn more feel free to email me at doc@cdifficile.us

  • got this bug after clindamycin and amoxicilin, and i wasnt even in any kind of health facilities from where i could catch it :<

  • im on my third relapse

i first got it from taking clindamycin that the dentist prescribed me after i had my wisdom teeth removed

    Im 17 years old

  • @wow1022 Me too, I'm calling them first thing tomarrow it sucks

  • @mhodgman50

i wasn't cured by the metronidazole after the third relapse they gave me a colonoscopy (at 17 years old LOL) and game me a god awfully expensive drug called vancomycin... i finished this antibiotic 4 weeks ago and everything has been normal... after taking finishing the metronidazole i would get the relapse after around 2 weeks.... good luck.... take probiotics every night even while on the antibiotics... the normal waiting period to see if it is gone for good is 4-6 weeks :D

  • @wow1022 oh damnit lol. I got a colonoscopy too (the actual procedure wasn't bad but the prep was awful lol) I've been on vancomycin twice...got rid of C-diff, this was almost a year ago. Just in the last month I've had similar symptoms, but abdomen pain then before :( . I took Accutane twice & I really hope its not some bad side affect...I have an appointment tomorrow & I'm actually hoping it's C-Diff rather than IBS...hopefully you stay normal now!

  • for anyone who has c.diff, get the docs to try DIN 00788716 VANCOCIN 250MG CAPSULE. After 4 months of having c.diff this was the only medication that cured me. I will admit it is very expensive. $1000 Canadian for a 2 week supply but worth every penny to finally get back to myself and out of quarintine... :)

  • my mother has c.diff and MRSA, i pray she will be okay

  • My mom has been in medical care for 5 months now with C.Diff, and she is in ICU right now. No antiboitics have worked, her 100 days are up for Medicare, and she isn't strong enought to keep battling the diarrea, nausea, and dehydration and the Drs are not sure what to do next. It's horrible to see a life being lost or changed so much over an infection which could be prevented.

  • my grandfather just passed away today after contracting c. diff in the hospital...he had been on antibiotics and was an immune compromised individual :(

  • I don't think it requires long term antibiotic usage. I was on antibiotics for only one week when I contract c.diff...

  • @Budchick8 I just got out of the hospital for having c. dif. But htey dont know how igot it cuz i was taking any antibiotics and havnt been around anybody that had. Im a 20 yr old male and very healthy so theyre still unsure. But i am under quarantine which kinda blows.

  • @ImmortalBahamut ... you were or weren't taking any antibiotics? I know it blows; i was in quarantine from jan-april with the damn thing... life goes on hold... not that you would go anywhere anyway with the symptoms...

  • @Budchick8 i wasnt taking any, im one of the lucky few that are born with it

  • Is it true that the spread of C-Diff and other 'superbugs' can be stopped/slowed by using UV cleaning on all items? I have read that they use this method on some garments but the law WONT ALLOW THEM to use it on all garments or bedding. Another travesty if true.

  • My mother went to hospital with a simple problem with her arm- she then contracted C-Diff and was in hospital for a long time with a ~8% chance of death. It was in the royal infirmiary in edinburgh which was responsible for over 70% of C-Diff cases in UK at the time, its situation now has improved slightly but it's not good enough.

  • I see it usually happen when the resident has been on long term antibotic useage, and then they aquire cdiff....sadly, depending on the age of the resident, and their health issues, before they got cdiff, many have died. Their bodies just too weakened by illness to fight off the cdiff....nasty, nasty stuff....
