I am an American an i lived in SOuth Africa for 2 years 1984-1986 and i gotta say the english there were nice, and the scottish expats very fun loving and great to hang around with as well as the Dutch. But the Afrikaners ... in many ways were the best. I felt at ease, not feeling like i am being judged, Just down to earth Southern hospitality. A couple cases of Lion lager and some boerwors with some pap and sos, good fellowship, makes for a nice time.

Most Americans were largely unconcerned about South African policies, and we'll look back on it as a major foreign policy mistake as now there is not a capitalist power in Africa. pre-1994 SA could have fought the Islamic terrorists in Africa, today's SA is weak. I am not PWT, Also I have boer family immigrating to the US next year because of ANC policies.

I see hardworking men who left their homes and are making a new life somewhere else. They have a strong camraderie. They know how to farm. Isn't that exactly like the Voortrekkers? And I think they might be a little depressed---they have gone from a warm land to the coldest part of the lower 48 US. They seem to have no women. I welcome to the US, and hope that someday all white SA will have their own country free of the reverse discrimination they now suffer.
