No political system is permanent so when a political system is created is slowly begins to fall apart. So when the United States was created is slowing began to fall apart. Conservatives want to hold it together as long as possible and leftist want to tear it apart as fast as possible. That is the right/left paradigm. The founding fathers created a conservative constitution meaning it was intended to be defended not torn apart.
The romantic view doesn't make any sense. If all men were born naturally good and only currupted by society, then no currupt scociety could be made in the first place.
Great job. I'm showing this to the kids, because none of it is taught in "social studies" class. As for @fornaxchemica -- it's important to remember that the meaning of "liberal" has mutated. It used to mean a well-rounded, sovereign independent thinker (and in classical education, it still does). But the modern meaning of "liberal" is an unholy mix of collectivism, feminism, statism, and Marxism. This ideology doesn't work in real life, but that lesson hasn't yet been learned.
@DJYC21215 - Thanks so much for watching and I really appreciate your positive feedback. I know it's not much, but it's really the only way, besides the vote, that I could think of to make a difference. I'm thankful that modern technology has given "the little guy" a place to voice his passions and convictions. If you happen to remember to tell someone about the series, that would be great. Thanks again and God bless. - MiD
1. The founding fathers were liberals. You have to judge them based on the standards of their time not ours. They were for individual liberty and against the conservatives of their time who believed that ordinary people should subjugate themselves before the church and the nobility.
2. Modern liberalism does not materially contradict any of these values. It adds to them based on the lessons learned since the constitution was codified.

I have two counter points.
