WE got our first TV Set in l949 and it was an Admiral l3" I think (considered big) at the time. It was plastic or Bakelite and was very compact compared to the big size of the RCA Victor at the time. I had it up until l969 and sold it at an estate sale and it still worked. You could not play it in the day light or a bright room ..
I wonder if tubes are still available for it.
