@tankmaster1018 as you can see, one some designated cranes, there are mics following the scene/actors. This mic is built to only record nearby noises, and block out other white noises such as the director or other sounds, but if they wanted to hear like cars far away, theyd set up another mic :)

@tankmaster1018 You'd be amazed at how much sound in a high-production movie is placed in after filming. It's a sound designer's and sound mixer's worst nightmare! ;)
