if you cut a nerve root what happen?

i mean, you cut the nerve root involved with tumor, and then it repair itself or stay cut forever?

neurological disfunction are present?

thank u osamiza,usually the attched/mother root is non functional,and already there is motor/sensory deficit present ,if u cut the root no new deficit occures,if u dont cut there r chances of recurrence,there r no repairs,
