You're correct. It's in 2nd gear in the shot at 1:56, but it's installed backwards. The chrome lever is angled and is supposed to point away from the driver. In 2nd gear, it should be pointing upward, not toward the driver.
how do you figure that? only 2 shots of the installed shifter are shown, both near the end - first shot looks like its in 2nd gear, second shot looks like its in 1st gear or reverse. (?)
