probably......Sergei is unprepared for K1. I have to say that by observin Alexander Emelianenko fight boxing underdog Hamzat Pliev and by observing Kharitonov in K1 or Alistar in K1.....I have to say that MMA soldiers (3 disciplines in 1) wrongly assume that they can compete professionally on the top level in single disciplines of boxing, K1 or wrestling. MMA can't withstand professional fighters e.g. in BOXING, K1 or wrestling I suppose.

Although I think TOP level Representatives from K1, Boxing and Wrestling..will get punished in MMA as well. I guess far quicker than MMA fighters will loose in K1 Boxing and Wrestling competitions. I don't know.. I guess I am confusing. However.....I feel in the future (i don't know if it is possible) MMA Fighters will or might dominate all the disciplines. Look at how MMA evolved in striking for the past 10-20 years. in the early ninetees - MMA was DISGUSTING to watch. Only wrestling would win.

how is possible that this no-name can hold a win on sergei? but yeah the reason why sergei lost is his experience in k1-which is zero-. Experience plus strong kicks made this guy to win.

exactly . sergei is hell of a fighter for ghita. Sergei basically got lost in his strategy. It seems that he has discovered for the first time in his life that he can't oppose kickboxers low kicks. seems that he discovered his hand where to short to reach a kickboxer.

I've seen Sergei Kharitonov fight a lot but this is actually the first time I think he was scared...

Ghita has some power in those kicks.

Don't get me wrong, it's his debut too and he's also had to switch to rely only on striking.

But Kharitonov usually just looks like he's enjoying himself.

But with Ghita he was pretty cautious, Well anyway I hope I've made it clear that I'm not bragging.

If you and I'd go there and fought those guys we'd probably be bloody pulps choking on our own pool of blood.

Sergei looked pretty out of shape for this fight. He still was dangerous with his punches, but he seems to have lost his edge. Now that I remembre, his last Pride fights that I saw he was also less agressive.

Both fighters seemed to have a lot of respect for eachother.

A good fight for Ghita, he needs more experience, but he seems to be doing good.

I hope though that eventually with the experience gathered he'll also be in the final 8.

He just has such a powerful presence, those eyes are scary.

Well in his good times he was relentless, but Sergei only hade 2 other fights during the last 2 years. Hardly enough.

Ghita is very cool and he has good kicks. He just needs to be more mobile in the ring.
