  • mate, u r amazing, thesilentsky its a hater

  • @MrCiprian11 maybe but hes right when i hear kempff play this i get sucked in the music right from the start this is just noise to me.

  • Whats with the speeding. Speeding will get you fined.

  • There were some really nasty and mean comments here.... I always supposed that people who appreciate classic music had some manners and education to express themselves... I guess I was wrong,....

  • woh woh everyone calm down this is a great piece to play. And look... the description says hes at school... is school the place where you can show all ur emotions? no... obvcourse not. Maybe at home he plays this 10 times as beautiful but just doesn't want to show it on camera since hes at school and people will judge him. Remember, people at school just want a performance, not a mastery of a piece

  • @connorp2402 that was the voice of common sens... thks !!!

  • @calito44 yea that is 1 of the reasons i don't perform because people always compare your performance to someone elses who they prefer... i played chopin nocturne op 9 no 2 at a concert and got criticised for playing too slow but at the time i felt the piece should have been played slower so i played slower. so i just gave up performing cuz i hate people judging so much :/

  • @connorp2402 I think is too bad that you left away something that you love because of what people have to say.... people including me will have 1, 2 and sometimes 3 different opinions about something... pay attention to what people say.. but use your common sense and criteria to take the critics that will make you better performer and person and move on... but never never never quit something that you love( I am assuming that this is your passion :) ) my humble advice to you my friend

  • @calito44 Thanks i do appreciate it but yea i just like learning pieces and playing them for my own satisfaction. Yea i suppose people can critisize you but in the end it is all down to your interpretation and i dont want people to critisize my interpretation id rather them just enjoy it without people saying comments such as no style, no color, no finesse for example like they have put for this person :/ i mean this guy can play the piece very well but look at the dislike bar....so sad :/

  • your friend is so talented. However the talent is completely overwhelmed by the lack of emotion, expression, musicality...

  • 3:07 - 3:15 is so haaard :( and let's not talk after that part :P

  • @mommydaddy7 I understand classical music, and I play it. I know some pieces can be played faster than normally and they sound good, and there are some that are better when you play then slower... Anyways in my opinion this sounds pretty good :)

  • my ears, my god , my ears

  • And by 'fast' I understand you meant to "I'm a ugly shitface asian that play the piano without any purpose other than making senseless noise". you've done a great job.

  • rice people like to fuck it all up... OKAY YOU EAT RICE YOU ARE FAST! The rice robots will obviously rule the world soonish. I can imagine he can't really play any 'slow' version o0 this is no math.. it's music...

  • the fingering is tricky enough at full speed, you can tell it's just not supposed to played this fast.

  • actually, this sounds pretty good and i actually like it. i dont know why some people dislike this... it's just retarded -.-

  • @feliponbombom Obviously you don't understand classical music, which is supposed to be played with emotion and style. It doesn't matter how fast you play. Some of the greatest songs in the world are played slow.

  • this is plain annoying

  • I hate when i see someone having the technique enough to play it which i lack, and lacks the feeling of its nature, which i have...

  • HE IS NOT GIFTED..THERE IS NO NATURAL EMOTION...HE ISJUST BANGING AND PRESSING THE KEYSTO HARD AND FAST..THATS IT!...(sigh*)

  • fingering is completely wong be carefull you are loosing all the musicality

you can play even faster if you re-establish musicality and meaning to that piece

It is a wrong percetion that playing flat and mechanical allows you to play faster - you just developed a lot of bad habit and speed walls

Cheers - enjoy playing before looking for performance, no one cares about performance :-)

  • mais comment peux il allait aussi vite c'est incroyable!!!! je parie qu'il peux meme te faire un problème de maths en meme temps!!!! 0_0

  • This is the worst version I've ever heard.

The only thing I here is horrific rhythm and wrong notes, seasoned with a bit of rushing. NO DYNAMICS OR EMOTIONS. This version is mocking the intelligence of Beethoven.

  • Beethoven would kill you!!!

  • It sucks That's just painful to ear .

Do you think it makes you be a good piano player pffff

  • you play it fast your good but slow down and look at the dynamics it mostly all to loud slow it down a little bit and then build up and you will be geat

  • well done...although I just tore apart two of the comments...I agree in some ways with them...it is fast...it does loose emotion...but a good technical exercise at that tempo...my guess is that that is about 2 and a half times its normal speed. When you play it at a slower speed closer to what it what it wrote at can you now play it better focusing more purely on just the emotion more-by?

Again good work! I enjoyed it.

  • you should know that fast playing doesn't make the music better. It's a little .......uhm..... not very good ^^. Sorry if i told sth wrong

  • I like the Beethoven way.

  • play like him and you can open your mouth

  • What had you expected? It´s says "fast version" in the description. I think he´s a great player.

  • painful to the ears........

  • It's not about playing fast, it's about feeling the music. Just randomly hitting the notes as fast as you can gives it no rhythm.

  • the three most important things in a piece are:

    Rythm

    The notes themselves

    Dynamics

Try to learn the dynamics and keep a specific rythm. You played this one a little too fast.

  • Haaa, very bad, We can't feel any emmotions in your piece...

  • Listen to Kempff and learn. Typical oriental key banging.

  • can u make a tutorial

  • Fast fingers. How long did you take to come to this stage?

  • mate really if I wanted to hear a way to fast song I would have listened bumblebee okay? Tempest 3 is about emotion you have to show that ;)

  • People why do you criticise him? Does anyboby knowing how Beethoven played this when he lived or someone asked him.about the colors you should attribute?

It is nervous but Beethoven was a nervous person. too

It has no dynamics ,and Beethoven sometimes maybe was cold and angry.

  • you just destroyed the piece and you don't even know it. You need to have this video erased so that other people are not watching it and destroying their ears and musical ability

  • It seems like this guy is playing this at the spur of the moment, so he was probably nervous, therefore, playing too quickly. Don't be so quick to pass judgment on people.

  • the player has no idea what he is doing. he killed Beethoven again.

  • Disgusting, sorry.

  • Everybody keeps beating this guy up about the song but if you'll read the info if clearly says his FRIEND was the guy playing....stop posting such rude comments, it wasn't even him!

  • WAY TOOOOO FAST>>>

  • Interesting upload but you can train a monkey but you cannot educate one - without understanding the nuances and the passion Beethoven intended and the manner in which Kempff and Josef Hoffman played, we are creating a bandwidth issue by clogging the internet with this stuff.

  • you totally ruined a classic. the same way Idol ruined pop music. sigh.

  • LMAO, i love how the girls in the backround goes WOW!. the girls obviously care about speed but this interpretation hurts my ears.

instead of wasting your time learning the (fast version) listen to wilhelm kempff and get some dynamics down. jesus.

  • You don't even have to play this fast...

    Pro pianists play slowly...

  • He's asian...

  • Very good! Where can I download the sheet of this music?

  • 1.You have to pimp your style !

2.You play this piece with no emotion and too fast !

  • he just want to show off his skills,, i bet he can play it with passion,,

    let him be!

  • play with passion...its not nessesary to go fast ok?

  • you failed boy

  • You are truly destroying this piece of music. Stop it!!!! play it with passion.

  • Ya, I've been working on my execution of pieces like this, that's more important. It changes these pieces; he needs emotion in these songs

  • Damn, what are you doing with this greatness of extravagnza?

Do such a thing never ever again to a classic from whom ever!

  • bad

  • man. just stop it.

No one has a gun to your head (that we can see). Allegretto. .. unless you're Gould. or Richter. or that Turkish guy.

  • 2.5/10

  • playing music fast doesnt make it good 1/10

  • I enjoyed, well done!

  • No dynamics, No style, No color, No finesse. You;ve done nothing but play it fast and a little too fast at that. You can obviously play, but come on...

  • isn't it the point here to just play it incredibly fast...technicalities are a whole other different aspect..come on!

  • @thesilentsky He's reading it of music.....no heart. just notes...

  • if he's that good on the piano already, can't he tell that it doesn't sound best that fast? Mistakes are tolerable, anyone who plays piano can understand that.

Last 197 comments probably said that already though

  • If you want to play fast then play Volodos' version of the "flight of the bumblebee".....you just ruined this piece..

  • Why couldnt you play it faster

    You call that "fast version"

Even my Dog can play this faster with its tail.

    :D

  • I need the sheet music PLZ ?

  • don't do it fast unless you can actually play it correctly

  • 'cause you're such an expert...

    idiot.

  • first, you really shouldn't be pausing in the middle of playing and getting notes wrong. I can see you tried real hard, but you just want to show people you can look like you can play fast, but it's not the point of music.

  • Awful. All you want to show is how fast you can play. No feeling whatsoever in this recital.

  • I play this piece too, except I play slower... but I thought it was good. Great technical skill, but a little fast for my liking (felt like I had no time to reallly listen to it, if you know what I mean).

Other than that, good, I suppose.

  • do you want to suck the of my dog? sale tête

tes moche -tes con , tes stupide -va te faire enculer -tu fais nimporte koi.espece de malade.

  • Does sheet music actually help at this speed? Me personally I cannot play while looking at notes. I have to memorize the song.

  • Hmm... as other's say, this is not how Beethoven originally intended it to be played, however, I think it doesn't hurt to alter a bit with classical pieces. After all, even classical componists borrowed ideas from each other (Liszt - Paganini for example). In my personal opinion, I'm not too fond of the sheer speed of your playing, but if we do not take inspiration from something old to create something new, we would still be banging hide drums.

  • this is demonic, diabolic, ungodly

    just pure awesomeness

  • anyone who knows Beethoven's works would know that this isn't such a wonderful interpretation of it.

beethoven was not romantic, so quit it with the pedal

he also was depressed and at times crazy, that doesn't mean his works were fast and showed technique

btw your technique is sloppy. so fix it.

    ughhh what a mess. lmfao

    oh well

  • beethoven was romantic!!!!

btw he was one of the first romantic composers

  • its supposed to say "too" romantic

he was however his pedal was very minimal because he believed it took away from the beauty of the notes

  • and he was late classical. check your information. he's not considered romantic.

  • xplictconcept, please ignore what some of these morons are putting. I play piano, i appreciate beethoven, and i thought that was utterly brilliant. Maybe not for the colour or expression, granted, but simply for the sheer technical mastery that you posess. I though it was awesome, and hope to see more of your work.

  • Hey What's up Hiro Nakamuraaa???:D

  • sick

  • Omg, what did you do to this wonderful piece of music.......

  • I think he did it too fast....not good....

  • the most incredible aspect of music is its ability to be interpreted in various ways. and while i may not enjoy this interpretation as much as i enjoy others, i would never discard it a "bad" or "wrong." keep playing what comes to your heart.

  • a lot of potential, if you cared about what you were playing.

  • @luiskennett I watch this video and I see myself 25 years ago, potential but no understanding. 25 years later I am regretting that I haven't touched a key in that time. If I only knew then what I know now.... gods cruel joke I suppose.

  • awesome.. i love this work of beethoven... kickass..

  • I think Beethoven just turned in his grave as many times as this video has been watched and heard. Don't ever play Beethoven again...Ever.

  • rude much....how can people appreciate Beethoven or any other kind of music without trying to play it themselves?? I mean yeah, he shouldn't have sped it up, but still....

  • sempre é um olho puxado que quer fazer graça tocando que nem um robô frenético

  • dude .... you are just hitting de notes like a slave hits a wall with a hammer, no musical expression or feeling, no phrases nothing, just hammers and punches to the keyboard, piano is all about phrasing, feeling, musical expressions, in fact you dont even perfom the right volumes ! in conclussions it'sa disgusting interpretation .... and learn something, for playing fats, you should know how to play it perfect slow, and then make it fast, but i see mistakes even in the tempo so nothing is right

  • @forliakas9852 Everybody keeps beating this guy up about the song but if you'll read the info if clearly says his FRIEND was the guy playing....stop posting such rude comments, it wasn't even him! (And besides the fact that although it's true there isn't much personal style added it must have taken him forever to learn how to play so fast! That takes talent)

  • @Kelseyjoy1148z

this guy should take some of his (fast) time and learn how to play with dynamics.

Learning dynamics is harder than speed.

  • again...this seems not intended to be musically if such exists as perfect...

  • hehe ur lookin like Hiro Nakamura from Heroes

  • Waaaaaa...O____O.....Amazing....!!!!!!!!!

  • If I could move my fingers that fast,,, I would never leave the house.

  • 很厲害不過還視聽ㄉ出來她只是ㄍ學生!

awesome !but its still obviously he is just a student for now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To fast Slow down.

  • the whole point is its a fast version retard, Read the title

  • while from an pianist myself

and i like to perform in different styles

i think it he did an excellent job with this piece

i not going to put that much on the mean side

but i would like to say that

you might have want to slow it down

while i was watching i had the piece and looking at all the mishaps you had in this piece

but overall just play a bit slower, and do the the correct tempo. i think your style is awesome though. nice job :)

  • you really suck..... you killed beethoven

  • agreed, sucks, needs more sentiment

  • lol, he just accelerates easy parts, he plays hard ones at normal speed, and cannot even do the trills right

  • Did you ever see how Wilhelm Kempf interpreted this piece? Kempf performed it the way it had to be performed...

But this is... Well... like those other guy already said... horrible :S

  • I don't think is horrible , I think it's really different... He plays like Glenn gould a fast and nervous style and I like so much ! :)

  • Gould knew when to play a piece fast, when it should be played fast. To compare this idiot to Gould not only insults Gould's incredible ability, but shows just how little you know about music.

  • This is horrible.

I don't think Beethoven smoked crack, so you shouldn't play like he did.

  • why not make into a rap version instead... it s not a speeding race, it s a majestic piece of music. You wouldn't race with a horse carriage on Daytona?

  • it took kemp 7 minutes to play this piece, and 7 minutes of complete astonishing music, it took u 4 minutes to ruin a 200+ year old piece by a music master and 4 minutes to annoy my ear before going to bed

  • hey plz i need the sheet music!!!

    really!

i've been looking everywhere but i cannot find it

    =(

and u play veeery well =]

    plz contact me!!

  • GREAT!

  • this is freakin horrible :S

  • it's not a hand practice dude...it's a frikin piece...show some finness...damn...it's really not impressive...it's jus annoying as hell....i recomend u watch kempff play this.

  • freak...except that U don't have technique U pla the piano with the watch on ur hand?DO U HAVE A REALIZATION OF WHAT THE FUCK IS PIANO MOTHERF@CKER?

  • WOW!! do you have to freak out like that?maybe he wanted to let loose some stored up energy.

  • this is sooooo bad, jesus chirst

  • I think it's very very well played: look at ngexpert comment for instance, even if it's obvious he/she likes to teach other people how to behave, pretending to understand romantism, you made him/her angry. And this music is all this music: create passion

Besides, if you like it that way...

  • The original tempo set by Beethoven on its sheet is even faster than that... at the beginning but eventually slow down for some movements. This piece is always played as a smooth gentle joyful serenade, even by Kempff, but the title says "Tempest" but I don't feel hitting a storm when listening to any of the interpretation.

  • No its not.

It is not faster than this.

    Go re-read the sheet music.

  • What is the reason to play it fast?

    You play wrong notes!

  • Congratulations

    You absolutely raped this piece.

    I hope you die

  • It's my 6th version listened today; I can't understand why most of them plays this at the speed of light. And the argument "the name is Tempest", lol, you must be thinking on Jupiter's storms for sure?! Kempff interpretation makes me think of a tempest perfectly.

Some people play piano like a robot in FF; I'm not saying I'm better, not a chance, I'm just starting now; but I just don't understand the hurry!

  • yeah I hear ya.....Kempff interpretation is next to perfect....and Im starting too but some things were meant to be played moderately.

  • ugh...ugh...PLEASE STOP PLAYING!!!!!!! I can play fast too..MAKE MUSIC RATHER THAN JUST POUND OUT NOTES!!!!! /sigh

  • ""Fast Version""...Funny,isn't it?

  • Se my cover

  • if beethoven hear this... he´d cry

  • i don't mind you playing that fast, i heard many pianists play that fast before and are better than you in many ways. firstly, where is you emotion? beethoven's last few sonatas are the support of the romantic era. playing like that only draws attention from people who can't play music, professionals will think you are just showing off.

secondly, where's your dynamics? if you have nothing better to do than wasting your time, go kill yourself. you suck. what an insult to beethoven's memory.

  • MURDERER!!! !!! NO!!

  • *guy form survive style five*

    "REDRUM"

  • HAHHAHHAHAHA

  • No.

This motherfucker should listen to everything we have to say, otherwise I don't think anything would be written at all, if you count on good things to be written.

Beethoven can only be played in one way, in the way written in the notes! and of course each pianist has his interpretation, but this is not an interpretation, this is a murder.

Playing this ridiculously fast and out of tempo, with so much pedal and mistakes, IS a murder.

  • there are two ways beethoven wrote the piece, one version was to be played fast. And it takes much dedication to get where this boy has. He is only bettering him self, and will play much much better with the time goes on. He is not showing off or trying to butcher this song, he knows about the emotion, as many pianists put them selves in a state of awe, just to achieve this much. Show the man respect and give him a job well done. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it.

  • if you can't play fast with emotions, don't force yourself. many great pianists would agree with that. there's nothing to be ashamed if you play it slowly. people learn through mistakes, and practice makes perfect.

  • Sounds like ass when you speed it up just so you can show off. Where is the feeling and emotion?

  • there ARE some important notes in there some where. went by so fast, I didn't here them.

  • Yes he plays it fast. But a bit sloppy...

    Just a bit.

    Still awesome.

  • No man... U kinda butchered it.. Not cool

  • there're more than enough pianists who can it play it that way!!

  • OK, I listened to it again a couple of times. It IS a little fast. But that's ok. I'm not so sure that everybody should play this movement in the exact same tempo. The Glenn Gould version is remarkable because even at this fast tempo, he had the ability to channel the devastating emotional power of this music. Maybe the lesson here is that if you are going to play it this fast, you better be super accurate like Glenn Gould was or people will be distracted by cringing at each crappy note.

  • fuck off

  • aaaahhh mistake at 0.58

    :D

  • i bet none of you could play that fast

    ACCURATELY

stop insulting if u cant even do it urselves

if he could play that fast

    jhe could playu that snow

  • God, that was utterly painful. The theme was destroyed!

  • i havent seen ANYONE

who played as good as you on this song o_O

    its not easy

    playing this fast

    even my piano teacher

    or videos i have seen

    can play this fast.

    and

    he is all acruate O_o

  • Exactly how often do you see people play?!?!

  • Glenn Gould or Fazil Say!!

If you want it fast!! No problem!!

  • Why why WHY is it that you asians always play way too fast!? Speed does not equal quality, ffs, in this occasion it just equals crap.

  • Beautiful

  • youre speed = crap. glenn gould´s speed=perfect

  • The only person I know of who can pull off this piece played this fast is Glenn Gould. Listen to his version and you'll find out how well a true pianist can play this piece.....

  • Big no-no. Way too fast... Where's the emotion? This is just abuse of the piano and of this beautiful piece... It's a shame...

  • WOW!

  • No... I'm sorry.

  • That's bad : some wrongs notes, no feelings... you have to improve !

  • technically very clean, good job, just slow down and listen to the music

  • jeeze, he's GREAT! don't harsh on his buzz! well, you know what i mean.....

  • wish he could show a bit more emotion..he makes it look damn effortless tho

  • WTF? this piano is rigged hard... Lololz FUCK IF ONLY I COULD DO THAT!

  • wow dude thats fast can anyone say TALENT?

I'd give my right toe to play like this

  • you have five right toes...which one?

joking :P i agree he's very talented...i like his technique. he makes it look quite effortless!

  • I would have to say the smallest one of course. Rather give a toe than a finger. I wonder how long it took him to play like this..

  • mais ta gueule!!!! à quoi ça sert de la jouer si vite

  • 速いだけで表現がまったくなぃ。

    速く弾くことがいいことではない。

  • Je vois pas l'utilité de la jouer si vite ...

Tu as la chance de pouvoir la faire normalement et tu fais ça ...

    Dommage.

  • what are you doing---pathetique --why fast--- not as pretty

  • thats SUPER GAY. but still nice skillz i have better trumpet skiilz thoo :D
