You that are speaking against the Protestants know VERY LITTLE of Protestantism. For starters, not all Protestants believe in Sola Scriptura. Protestants also are not under the Apostolic Succession of the Papacy, for he's only head of one section of Christianity. Learn what an Apostle is, then you'll understand Apostolic Succession.

You believers have been taught as if the office of Apostleship is closed, or worse, a legendary office. This is no fantasy calling. Christ is still alive and well, and still sanctioning Apostles today. If you dont believe me 1) pray about it and ask the Holy Spirit, 2) check Church History for other Apostles throughout time, 3) read your Bible for yourself.

Unlike most "Orthodox Christians", I actually take time daily to study the doctrines of the Church coming from the Bible, the Ecumenical Councils, & the Fathers of the Faith. Dear Randeezy72, no the patriarch is not like a roman pope. A patriarch is a bishop one of many bishops. The Orthodox Church is concilliar, the Roman Catholic church is monarchic. A good anologogy is a democracy (Orthodoxy) and a fascist state (papalism).

Sorry, unification will happen just as prophesied in Revelation, the whole ecumenical movement is at full speed ahead. I invite you to leave the R. Orthodox Church, if you are in it, and listen to the Bible instead of traditions of men. Please do so sooner than later, for the stage-setting for the prophesied years of the horrors of Revelation seems to be taking place already.

And do what? Become a Protestant. The Reformation was the second step in ushering in the Anti-Christ and Atheism. Satan will not prevail against the Church. If unification happens, the Church will go catacomb or nonconformist like the time of St. Mark of Ephesus. We have faith Christ's promise that Satan will not prevail against the Church.

1) Every part of the Orthodox Faith is in continuity with Apostolic Tradition. You hate tradition, but we love all God's gift. Tradition is instruction and the instructed has faith- yes, babies do have faith. Faith comes from the soul, which is purer in children, so in fact, an Orthodox baby has greater faith than the most rationalist Protestant. For Protestants, faith is only possible by rational faculty matured, and that is why Atheism was born. Faith is not dependent of rational faculty....

2) Anyone who starts their own Church is playing Jesus/God. How can your "true" Church be started by people who had 1500 yrs of separation, no relation, etc, from the Apostles? If this was the True Church, they would have one faith, but instead everyone makes their own "faith" bases on corrupt human logic. Your Church is man made. A true Church would have to have unchanged tradition since the Apostles, which would be impossible without being God-guided. Does Protestantism meet this criteria?

Look at Protestant history. If the Reformation was truly just a Reformation of the Catholic, then Luther would have been taken seriously and there would be no reason to have rejected the Traditions Luther kept. There would be only one Protestant faith. Instead reformers took advantage to take the idea that Christianity is one whole revealed truth, not a subjective relative opinion. Now there are 10x's thousands of Protestant Christianities. Who started them? There is only one God, one Christ!

There are serious doctrinal differences between Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism. Unless the Pope is willing to go back in time to the period of the Seventh Ecumenical Council, there will not be any rapprochement between Orthodoxy and Catholicism - that is just a pipe dream.
