They make next to nothing from selling CDs (unless it is in a large amount = millions of copys). They actually make more money selling songs on itunes than from selling the physical CD... but even still they are nice to have due to the perfect quality in the music.

Bands get WAY more money off concert tickets and merchandise. By putting up a video of their song, or even downloading their song off filesharing sites, you are doing more harm to record companies and their CEOs than you are to the band itself. They only get a small bit of money off their music records. Most goes to the record company who records it, manufactures it, and such or the person who produced it. IF you want to support a band, go to their shows, get merchandise.

I listen everything between classic hard rock and death metal, i would have to buy music with 100,000e to buy all i listen. My house wouldbe full of cds.
