not a fan of sega or the VF fighting system. i think all vs capcom games should be developed by capcom, and therefore use it's fighting system. but i'm saying that as a total capcom fan, so i'm a little biased. lol.

however even so, VF character would be totally mismatched with SF ones. too much difference in gameplay mechanics, imo.

Capcom (from what I can remember) controlled 2 crossover fighting games. That's CvS 1&2. Chaos was by SNK (who made fun of all the capcom Characters, tch crybabies). And the SF vs. X-men and MvC1&2 was done by the Marvel Super Heroes team (them or the X-men Children of Atom team).

If you put SF on VF engine you can have the specials be in commanded chain throws and auto cut scene actions. Like if Ken hit you with a Up/kick and press Up/kick on impact then a hurricane will occur up to 4x.

marvel super heroes team basically reprogamed an already existing capcom code. it's not like they did it from scratch really. but anyways, like i said. i really wouldn't be up for it cause i really don't like VF. it doesn't feel polished. i think sega games tend not to.

the programming always seems rushed and/or incomplete with sega. they haven't been on form for over a decade now. but even at the peak of its hype i never liked VF. tekken is my game, lol.

Yes that is true. Capcom wanted SF to appeal to the American market more and made deals with Marvel.

The characters designs for "Street Fighter 2 the Animated Movie" was done by Americans. And Marvel staff did and inspired the designs for the Alpha and Rival school games. SF4 designs was done by an American based comic company, Udon.

sf4 designs were done by capcom staff member Daigo Ikeno, and he's a japanese guy. udon do not do any designing 4 capcom. however they do, do box work, comic books and various in game and promotional illustrations. they are also not american... they're canadian. trust me, i'm a fanboy, lol.

Daigo Ikeno may have done the art for the character but the design is from Omar dogan & Siu-Chong. I don't know who did the design for C.Viper. That may have been Daigo; but considering the U.S. cartoon was controlled by Marvel it's unlikely.

Last time I checked Udon had a foundation in Milwaukee (that was like 2months ago). I sent a submission by mail, for feedback.

i would like to see capcom vs square. weird? yes, but i think i can justify this choice.

1 square have an array of very well designed characters that could easily slip into the fighting genre.

2 they ain't really fighting games type company, so if capcom uses it's system, their isn't a popular fighting game sacrificing it's system.

3 square characters already have moves just screaming to be used in a fighter (see FFdissidia). cloud omni-slash as a super combo for example. it would b pure win.

That would be nice; but I really don't see most of the Final Fantasy characters. I take that back, it depends on the roster of Capcom. If it's mostly SF then we'll see mostly hand combatants from FF, like Zell, Armarnt and Rikku. I would like to see the Tobal cast in 2-D or the SF cast on a updated Tobal engine.

Over all I would love to see another Bouncer or to see SquareEnix reuse them.

FFDissidia is okay and all but to me personally I don't like the combat's floaty feel.

In most Capcom crossover games, the gameplay would feel similar to MvC. Somehow I imagine a 2d Square fighter to behave like GG or BB. both are fast paced and is quite close to Dissidia (w/o the f'ed up camera) so i think it's a good idea.

Yes a lot of Sega felt rushed. Ever since the fall of the genies it's like they half-ass most of their stuff. But most of these trifling attempts was for other systems. The hand held games are still good.

VF is a consent rehash of the last game but it gets better and smoother over each addition (except for VF4 evolution-half-ass). Despite personal taste it is a good fighting system; but I think that the VF team worship Satan, no lie. And I know proof.

if you compare super SF2 turbo to SF alpha SF2 is a completely better game. but by alpha 2 and 3 gameplay improved more character were added and i began to appreciate the series. alpha 3 is the best fighting game ever imo.

anyway my point is, capcom has only just started with the series and they still gave a high quality game. potential for an epic series of sf4 games is there
