  • Nice hair, Josh!

  • Do you know who is Ron Paul?

    Utube him!

  • go Bill Richardson, the best person to bring this country together and bring our troops home now!

  • How about a story about Ron Paul's rising numbers in NH?

  • why is it these political commentators always seems so feminine (some would say gay), they like to spray their supposed wisdom and discust for this great land.

But somewhere along the line the we will need some cowboys to man a post. Does anyone think this this Keven Spacey wanna-be will will take up arms and fight for us? I think perhaps he will be the snot covered fool crying and calling for his momma in the rear of the line.

  • Although I disagree with Huckabee on most things, I can respect his integrity. Romney is as fake as a three dollar bill.

  • Have you ever heard Huckabee talk? Everything he says sounds like it's been rehearsed a few hundred times. Even the tones are fake.

  • To Ibex:

Huckabee sounds fluid, professional and sincere. I admire that.

Not to mention his chuck Norris ad. :)

  • ironically, after watching this video, the first thing I thought was, "what about Ron Paul?" Im canadian, I can't even vote here, but frankly I think Ron Paul is the best bet for the Rebuplicans, and the best bet for the US

  • "naturally Hillary is ahead" - WHAT THE FUCK? How is that natural? That is a clear indication of bias for Hillary's favor.

NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR YOUR SPIN ON CORPORATE OLD MEDIA NEWS!

When a majority of your viewers are Pro-Ron Paul then the majority of your viewers will be UN-SUBSCRIBING after a piece of shit like that.

Why not cite unbiased polls like the straw polls and zogby polls that indicate Ron Paul is winning?

We don't need your self-fulfilling anti-Ron Paul bullshit here!

  • no Paul bashing here, just wanted to let you know that he said "nationally", not "naturally".

  • no Paul bashing here, just wanted to let you know that he said "nationally", not "naturally".

  • That Zogby poll was hardly unbiased.

I'm not sure why Ron Paul supporters freak out if someone discusses politics without mentioning him. It's cult-like... like the Bush supporters who define ones patriotism by the level to which one supports Bush.

  • Yeah it kinda sucks and Im a ron paul supporter too but jeez people, be logical and not so emotional in your reactions, youre hurting our reputation!:(

  • Amen!

  • Jeez, I thought I had MY undies in a bunch! Perhaps you should unsubscribe if it's so upsetting for you LayneRoxxx.

  • i'm a vegetarian. no turkey for me at thanksgiving.

  • Gulianni & Hillary = Illuminati

    Especially Hillary

Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich & Mike Gravel are the ONLY 3 saying the TRUTH

    Other than them 3........are NEO-CON(victs)

  • Did he mention Ron Paul?

  • Wake up Iowa! Its time for a Ron Paul R[ƎVO˩]UTION!

  • 1st choice: Ron Paul

    2nd choice: Ron Paul

    3rd choice: Ron Paul

  • if youre going to use his name like that how but you give a quote, a link or some sort of relevant information that people that maybe are undecided about Ron Paul to consider instead of sounding like a crazy culti or cheerleader.Btw Im voting for him, just sayin....

  • Just goin' for broke, honey.

    No one else will do.

That's why he gets our money.

    And so should you.

  • romney is a cartoon.

i hope he wins, i hear everyone in the america gets free magic underwear!!

  • nothing about Ron Paul here, moving on

  • The truth is hes not in the polls, We cant believe that he is just going to get in there with people saying his name on youtube. You must get off your ass and talk to people and demonstrate--in REAL life. Hes not going to magically rescue us from the craziness. Think about it

  • remember what happened to Germany when they lost a war and their currency collapsed.

Say good bye to democracy and say hello to a new birth of Nazism.

    Fight for the future.

Fight the Neo cons now before it is too late

  • how about that ron paul money bomb? even stepholofagas? (snuffolockogus)? thinks he cantakeghouliani or mcain in nh

  • I have an honest question...

How does nearly every political video on YouTube get spammed/comment-bombed by dozens and dozens of Ron Paul supporters within minutes of its posting?

Do you guys coordinate this from sort of message board? Or do Ron Paul supporters just sit on YouTube all day and night searching for political videos, demanding that everyone spread the gospel of Ron Paul?

    I'm generally curious.

  • we're just not quite as apathetic as many are about the state of our nation

  • That doesn't answer the question... are you coordinating (collectively) which videos to spam? Or do you all spend all day and night on the internet going on every video you find, spreading your gospel?

Honestly, I am genuinely intrigued here.

(And, frankly, for a bunch of people obsessed with "R[ƎVO˩]UTION", you spend a lot of time on the computer. Go dump some tea in a harbor, chain yourself to the White House fence. At least that's respectful. I'm an ACLU member, I'd have your back.

  • ok, i will try to give an honest answer. i have never been interested in politics. i watched aaron russo's "America Freedom to Fascism ". it seemed crazy to me, i thought he was exagerating and getting worried over nothing, basically i thought russo was a nut. however, what i observed from our government over the next few months got me concerned, so i started to do my own research and what i'm finding just gets worse and worse.

  • Nobody's coordinating it. There are just few parts of the internet that Ron Paul supporters don't frequent. Is it because Ron Paul supporters spend all their time on the internet? No, it's because Ron Paul has so many supporters. And if you think it's a bunch of armchair revolutionaries, go outside, you shouldn't have to go far, and take a look at all the Ron Paul signs put up.

  • There is no coordination. We are motivated by the message of Ron Paul.

  • Motivated to do what, though?

Spend hours and hours on the internet spamming YouTube videos and web forums?

  • If you call thousands of people expressing their thoughts and opinions spam, then yes.

I have to say that I viewed your post as anti-Ron Paul spam. I noticed it was spam right away.

  • Thanks for ignoring Ron Paul, Mr. FOX

  • He ignored all the other Democratic candidates, even Richardson.... who has a higher percent of votes.

Ron Paul will not be allowed to win by the RNC, get used to it. Ron Paul is running for the nominaion of the Fascist Racist party of Greed. You really think he has a chance to beat the top guys? NO, ignorant fucks will vote for ignorant assholes like Gouliani.

  • Great summary =) Thanks again Veracifier!

  • would you Ron Paul people shut up ? i have EXPOSED these ron paul kooks, check out this video

    /watch?v=-s06YhQyv3w

  • Ahhh, a Ron Paul spammer posing as a detractor?

You know, maybe the reason that people get angry at Ron Paul's kooks (your word) is that you take every internet video or blog posting to pontificate about your savior, Ron Paul. It feels like being mugged.

You like Ron Paul. Good for you, it's admirable. But shoving him down everyone's throats is hardly a way to endear him to others.

  • THANK YOU. I'm tired of every comment section turning in to a Ron Paul rally. Like you said, "It feels like being mugged"

  • did you like the video ?

  • I found it revealing.

I believe Reagan to be one of the most disastrous leaders in modern history. All our Presidents had been fairly moderate to that point-- by today's standards, Eisenhower is more to the left than all the Democratic candidates sans Kucinich-- but Reagan was the beginning of conservative extremism. Religious right, bloated military budgets, awful foreign policy, style over substance governing, deregulation, deficits, etc.

So saying Ron Paul is like Reagan... no good.

  • ok, fair enough, it was mostly for registered republicans. In defense of Reagan though, after they tried to kill him, his agenda kinda changed if you didn't notice

  • Wow... you know, claiming 'they' tried to kill Reagan (rather than just some nutjob who saw 'Taxi Driver' too many times) doesn't exactly help disprove the stereotype that all Ron Paul supporters are conspiracy theorists and-- again- 'kooks'.

Poor Ron Paul, seems like a nice guy, and all his support comes from conspiracy theorists and internet spammers. Shame.

  • what do you know about the history of the federal reserve?

  • I know of the history.

But I'm sorry, I'm done trying to have a rational discussion with conspiracy theorists who pose as Ron Paul detractors in order to... spam about Ron Paul.

I'm sure Ron Paul is a nice guy-- though I believe his domestic libertarianism is disastrous for America-- but the behavior of his (online) supporters is disturbing.

    Good day, and happy Thanksgiving.

  • if you really knew the history of the federal reserve you wouldn't be as apathetic as you are about this great nation. Every president who has ever tried to move away from the old central bank, or the federal reserve has either been killed or had an attempt on their life.

  • Thanks! I've been mentally collecting everything the conspiracy theorists say is connected to the evil, Illuminati machinations of Federal Reserve.

So far I have (from conversations with other Paul supporters)-- 9/11, illegal immigration, various U.N. treaties, the income tax, gun regulation, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

I hope I'm not forgetting anything. I am a patriotic American and want to make sure I can properly tie everything in with the larger conspiracy afoot here.

  • ok now that you have good clues, do some research into these things, or just stick your head in the sand, whistle past the graveyard. it is easy to simply deny something, but have you actually checked into any of these very serious issues?

  • CONGRATS TO JOSH MARSHALL he got honored along with Ron Paul as GQs 'Men of the Year'

Josh is an obvious democrat. But the lack of Ron Paul coverage by TPM is kinda odd.

  • I like watching these videos and think that you do a great job Josh. By why no mention of Ron Paul in any of your videos. You speak of Polls well why not talk of Pauls domination of a recent Zogby poll. Paul will shock in New Hampshire and has a much better chance then Huckabee ever will.

  • Yeah I wonder why there is no mention of Ron paul at all... Seems like all reporters are attempting to black list him what gives?

  • I just think it is hard for some socialists to pronounce "Ron Paul"

  • I assume Josh Marshall and TPM are muckrakers..which is a very important facet of journalism. However, as a muckraker, what do you have against Ron Paul? Nothing.

So assuming this, I've always given them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I was wrong.

  • That Zogby poll was hardly unbiased.

    See: dailykosDOTcom/storyonly/2007/11/20/172235/81

  • It's because, despite his incredible support on this website, the corporate financial interests that decide the elections won't allow him in the office. Even if Paul holds the majority of republican voters nationally, he won't win because primaries aren't really determined by the vote ANYWHERE but iowa, newhampshire, and south carolina. If you recall election 2000, mccain was far ahead of bush in most national polls, but his campaign magically disappeared when bush took the early primaries.

  • TPM like Huffington Post is afraid of Ron Paul. Quite simply, Ron Paul is as big a threat to the Democrat Chosen ones as the Republicans. TPM and buddies Huffpo like the status quo.

  • or maybe everyone is just getting tired of Ron Paul spam everywhere.

  • Who won half of all straw polls conducted thus far? Who wins nearly every post debate poll? Who wins nearly every online poll? Who has at least doubled fund raising numbers from one quarter to the next?

You probably would not know as it has not been reported by these bastions of journalism.

    Ron Paul = win

  • Straw polls, phone in polls, and online polls "poll" people who choose to participate. Actual polls of likely primary voters show him running fair to middling AT BEST.

  • Ron paul is a funny demagogue. He cracks me up...I hope he is nominated, that would be hillarious.

  • Your completely paranoid. Ron paul has a large following however they are not showing up in polls.

  • Youtube ID = j8SgZELRjpo

  • On what do you base this claim? If Paul had a large following, why wouldn't it show up in the polls?

  • Haven't you seen all the straw polls he won? ALL the internet polls he won?

The only polls he loses are the biased ones that only call republicans that voted in the primaries last time.

Why straw poll victories aren't cited is beyond me.

  • Those polls are self-selected: Those who choose to participate in them are counted. All they demonstrate is the motivation of supporters, not the extent of support for a given candidate. Real polling begins by randomly selecting from a given population (in this case, likely Republican primary voters).

  • Randomly selecting past Republican primary voters in NO WAY shows the support that Ron Paul actually has since hardly any of his supporters have voted in republican primaries in the past.

If you don't see the pro-neocon bias in that then there is a problem.

  • To be the Republican nominee, he needs to win Republican primaries.

  • He wouldn't show up in some polls, especially the polls that the old media likes to cite, because they are polling republicans that have voted in past primaries.

I would be willing to bet that around 5% or less of Ron Paul supporters have voted n past republican primaries.

    Get it now?

  • A proper poll begins by randomly selecting people and asking if they are registered Republicans and whether or not they plan to vote in a given primary. That doesn't select for past voters.

  • They call Republicans that are on a list that voted in the last primary. They don't keep scrapping together a new list and keeping up to date with they current new list.

  • If that's what they do, that's piss-poor polling.

  • Welcome to American politics.

  • Claiming Ron Paul is not represented on the internet is a joke. I can't go onto a political YouTube video (on-topic or not) or a blog without him being discussed.

I have seen TPM post on Ron Paul before on their site. Just because they don't do it every day makes no difference. They cover an extremely broad topic of issues and candidates.

  • We are not complaing that youtube videos of Paul are not shown or websites don't discuss him. We are saying that in every Tpmtv he has never been mentioned. Even thought he has raised the most money and polls higher than Mccain, Thompson, Hucabee and gets no mention. He wins several polls including completly dominating a recent Zogby poll

  • Who said anything about "not being represented on the internet"? Did you post just to see if you could? Did you even read what I wrote?

I personally have a bone to pick with HuffPo and TPM, after being a loyal reader only to find that come this political season they shill with the best of them.

  • Remember, around this time in 2003 John Kerry was polling at 4%. Anything can happen.

  • Paul has won close to half of the straw polls in this nation. He is doing fantastic in fundraising, and truly appeals to many traditional conservatives..those who supported Reagan.

  • evening the score for 9/11? wtf are you talking about? that's why we're in iraq, remember? not that *that* makes sense, but it is what it is.

  • Coniptionfits,

Ron Paul voted for going and getting Binladen.

Ron paul did NOT support nation building in Afganistan or Iraq.

Why did we just stop going after Binladen and invade Iraq?

If Ron Paul had been president he would have had Binladens head on pike within 3 weeks and it would have only cost us 2 million dollars, gasoline would be $1.35 a gallon,

Petraeus will retire one day and be able to tell us all the truth...

  • I think you need to look at the actual polling - you know, scientific statistical analysis - which has been done. At his best, Paul is in the middle of the pack for likely primary voters. I know lots of people are passionate about him. Lots of people were passionate about Eugene McCarthy, John Anderson, and Ross Perot, too.

  • What about my man Ron Paul? He's the only one that can fix America and beat the Democrats. All the other republicans are scared of him in the debates cause he's always right! The Democrats would be petrified!

    Ron Paul 08!!!

  • Oh, yeah. Petrified. You betcha. The chances of another Republican taking the White House are about the same as Osama bin Laden making it in. Oh, wait -- I just made an offhanded 11 September crack! Hey, just like the bulk of the Republicans do on a regular basis!

Ron Paul seems like a good enough guy, but this country isn't going to hand the reigns over to anybody who even remotely smells like a neo-con. Paul still has a bit of taint about him.

  • It's getting very easy to spot dishonest, disingenuous, untrustworthy, ignorant people.

  • What about him? This analysis was about likely primary winners, not Ron Paul.

  • Vote Ron Paul or die.

  • hmmm...so much for your freedom and liberty schtick huh? Say no to libertarians.

  • All I did was add Ron Paul to the Vote or Die campaign of the last election. Why are you getting so upset?

  • "freedom and liberty schtick" ?????

  • Kucinich-Paul 2008!!

  • Don't get me wrong, I like Kucinich, he's honest. I just can't see RP abandoning his principles, he never has. I know RP respects him but they are at opposite ends of the philisophical spectrum.

  • Yes, I completely agree with you. They are diabolically opposed to one another's principle. But these two men are the only honest, principled candidates available. I would pick these qualities over corporate sponsored money loving corrupted thugs any day. By the way, I am not American. I am just interested in American politics.

  • Go Canada!

  • I really wish we'd string out our primaries a little more, to let these people jockey and work their momentum a little more. To have everything practically decided before February 5th is just nutty.

  • Interesting, but as Howard Dean taught us, the dynamics could all change tomorrow.

  • yaaaa!

if but only dr. dean had won :-/
