these guys were born with rhythm in their blood. Extraordinary, fantastic, bravo

At times they shout out the "Tabla Bols" or rhythm sounds. They finish a dance portion with a "Tehai" or rhythmic finale that is repeated three times to end a dance sequence. As the dancer ends his solo on the "sam" the other dancer takes his first step. If they had a tabla player to accompany them in this dance he would have felt quite at ease with these rhythms. The dancers are divided into two groups and even indulge in a "Sawal Jawab" or questions and answer type dance so popular in Kathak.

The Gypsies are believed to come from India and there is a strong connection of Kathak to Flamenco. But these are Gypsy dancers from

Romania. Although there is nothing that reminds me of Indian dance here the amazing thing is that the rhythms produced by the dancers are totally compliant with Indian rhythms.
