  • lol!! nice video!

  • @reuniontapersex Thanks.

  • I looked down to check my speedometer...

  • long bridge

  • there are bad drivers everywhere. of course you will see more of them when you get into bigger cities. the more people you have the more bad drivers you will have. I hate bad drivers as much as anyone but what can you do.

  • they're going to put a bridge in place of that tunnel like next year

  • It seems when ever i lived there people would try to stop you from switching lanes and act as if they weren't trying to.

  • when you go into this tunnel everyone stops its a tunnel wow keep going

  • @supercamishow I've found to be the case with most any freeway tunnel, very odd.

  • @supercamishow Yeah, it seems that at every tunnel there is an imaginary bottle neck at the other end!

  • I have never seen worse drivers in all of my life. They ride the left lane like retards, don't signal for turns and generally are morons!

  • @dchunter01 I agree with you!

  • @dchunter01 Blacks drive worse in Detroit .

  • I Live In Mobile, And I Drive This Bridge Everyday On My Way Too School In Daphne/Spanish Fort, And This Video Made Everything Seem So Much Longer Then It Really Is Haha

  • don't laugh when you get a ticket and I don't drive anyway so I wouldn't

  • i just got back from eastern shore harley davidson and i crossed that

  • love your videos! they are awesome, it makes me sad because I can see the stupid slow people driving in the left lane, tought it was a Texan thingm but I can see it's spread all over the country, keep 'em coming~

  • @bmexboy -Thanks, yeah it's a nationwide epidemic :)

  • @bmexboy

Its a southern thing...same thing in SC

  • I was born and raised here, though i am thinking about moving to Louisville, KY in a few years from now.

  • OMG!!! how long is that bridge!!!

  • @BlockbusterGuy11 9 miles

  • didnt katrina destroy part of this bridge????

  • @whb1965 - Not that I'm aware of.

  • @whb1965

    no

  • your vids are awesome!thanks for upload!

  • @truckerwannabe14 - Thank you!

  • oh ok lol

  • are you driving over top of an ocean?

  • @Prophet859: No, this road crosses Mobile Bay.

  • Went through this bad boy Wednesday night to Florida, and back through again Sunday on the way home. I've heard about this tunnel, but this was my first 2 times through it. Whatever you're listening to on the radio officially goes dead once you're in the tunnel.

  • The bayway sure is fun.

  • I loved the speeding up of the video. Made for a cool show with that music!

  • Got caught in traffic jam in the middle of tunnel for 30 minutes. People began to honk their horns until everyone was doing it. When it would stop, we would start it all up again. Inside that tunnel it sounded kinda' wild. We were bored. What music is this?

  • The song is "headed for the Ditch" by the Andy Timmons Band

  • I've driven this road before.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • haha I pass through this tunnel when we go to FLorida last week

  • haha everybody slammin on brakes in the tunnel just like always

  • aww. my husband and i would hold our breathes to make a wish everytime we pass by this long ass tunnel. lol

  • The Bayway! I only like crossing it to get away from Mobile, haha.

  • DIZ MII CITI G3R MOBIL3

  • One of the nicest fractions of I-10, especially coming from the endless Florida woods. That and the huge Louisiana bridges.

  • Too funny. I moved from Mobile last year to Wisconsin. Actually, it made me homesick!

  • i drive this route every day and i hate it. traffic is so crazy it honestly looks like it is filmed at normal speed.

  • i got lost in mobile downtown ystdy when i came to visit my bro. i never been scared in my life than that experience.

  • the roads downtown are a nighmare. horribly unorganized, trees blocking the traffic lights from view, heavy traffic.

Though, I've been lost countless times all over the South. It ain't nothing to panic about. Just pull over and get directions or a map/phone.

  • Thanks for posting it

  • I drove on that road in 1983 whilst on holiday from the UK heading for California from New York via Houston delivering an Oldsmobile somethingorother on "You drive our car for free if you deliver it to our new house etc deal " cant remember the exact phrase. There was a truck drivers strike at the time I recall.

  • That's I-10 west? Why does it say Pensacola?

  • Pascagoula

  • Sorry

  • Just looking for info on Gustav and ran into this. I was born and raised in Mobile! The very first day the GW tunnel opened, I drove my Honda 550(four) super sport through it at 100mph - what a dummy! I also remember the time the banana truck overturned dumping chiquitas all over the interstate. We called the bayway, "the slab." I live in Virginia now and have not been to home in nearly ten years! This video and comments brought back many good memories! Thanks All!

  • im from mobile

  • Quick question to the OP. How is the camera mounted? The video is quite smooth. That may be due to being sped up.

  • It's on a tripod based on the front seat floorboard, very steady.

  • Thank you for wasting it here!

  • and yet you wasted more time complaining about it.

  • i live in theodoer al

  • vnffchgf

  • dude u like passed m house! i live in mobile al

  • I must drive this road

  • fun video! cool song. :)

  • Oh man how I miss Mobile. I go to Samford now in B'ham and it's just not the same. After I work in B'ham for a while I'm going to move back, I miss everything about my hometown!

  • Its hard not to laugh. Oh god and all the ugly "donks" They should put a picture of a donk on the state license plate. lol. Also the state doesnt recycle.

  • yes we do recyle!!

  • yeah right, ur cans and plastics in the garbage does not count as recycling.

  • Man it would be nice to make it over the bayway that fast!

Oh and AMEN to piranhaleg on the turn signals. I live here and bitch everyday at people who are too lazy to use their signals ugh

  • 2:30 is where you get off to get to my crib

  • DUDE!!! I MISS MOBILE!!!! I moved around 2 years ago, and even though there are crackheads dancing in front of mirrors, I STILL MISS IT!!

  • I am stationed in Hawai'i but am from Mobile. I know I am gonna sound like a fucktard but I am sick of Hawai'i. I miss Alabama

  • thats why they call it "Sweet Home Alabama" lol

  • yup i live in mobile al pretty sweet

  • I stayed in Fairhope & Pointclear back in 2000 , I had fun fished allnight

  • Too KOOL!!! nothing like Sweet Home Alabama. Gosh I miss it!!! I'm stuck in Oklahoma, home of the cold and boring.

  • no offense but alabama drivers are fucking dumb drivers. alabama should be renamed "the no turn signal state". turn signals are on a car for a reason and 90 percent of the state doesnt use them when they change lanes or make turns. thats wreckless driving. im sure they used them on there road tests. even the dam cops dont use them!

  • piranhaleg, haha so true the first time i went there to drive im like what the f*ck where was your damn turning signal... almost got into a wreck because of it to. but meh i still love it in mobile al im moveing there so yeah....

  • @piranhaleg i live in mobile alabama i think im the only one that uses my turn signals. also some people that arent used to our driving conditions line lousianna florida and mississippi are also terrible drivers in alabama.

  • this is so kool! idk how many times ive been across that bridge! i llive in mobile

  • Yeah I live in Mobile too. The bridge and the tunnel is fun to go through.

  • haha, that was so cool!

  • The engineers who designed that joke of a tunnel were smoking some serious crack.

  • Rewatching this video tonight made me suddenly remember going through Mobile so many darn years ago! Thanks for uploading this video, especially since it helped me remember going through both the causeway and the downtown Mobile tunnel(aka George Wallace Tunnel) all over again. Happy New Year too, btw.

  • I think it sucks how you have to pass slow people on the right they should of been in the right lane already. Thanks for the video.

  • I agree with you 110%! One guy in another one of my videos gave me a hard time for passing on the right...geesh!

  • i live in daphne

  • me too

  • hey thats kool i live in lake forest

  • I live in Daphne too. I do this drive every stinking morning ha! In fact I was in a wreck half way across the bridge during morning rush hour maybe a month ago.

  • ouch!!!

    where do u work?

    out on airport?

  • lol ok i drive this alll the time when i go from midtown [where i live] to foley/g. shores/ daphne where a lot of my friends live and i would never think to make a vid of it lol... i guess koz it's not interesting to me anymore... and i usually take the bayway not 10 koz out of state ppl cant drive on 10 right they drive slow n gawk too effin much lol

  • actually you'd take I-10 East bound if you are going from midtown to the beach, etc..haha not trying to be a bitch just saying. I drove this route everyday from the eastern shore to mobile for school, ugh, morning traffic was the worst! I prefer the causeway but you can't go as fast

  • I didnt mean I take I-10 west when I go from midtown to the beach.... I meant I take I-10 period.... but mostly now that I've lived here longer I go the bayway too and I speed lol

  • But with traffic you end up going the same speed anyway ha ha. It takes a bit longer to get down to the causeway, that's the only thing.

  • If I'm in a huge hurry I will take I-10 half way then jump over to the causeway. A tad quicker. But I work downtown, that would be a bit silly if you had to jump right back on I-10 at the tunnel.

  • I live in Mobile now I hate every bit of it.

  • lol

  • I just love all the brake lights coming on in the tunnel. It drives me crazy how people slam on breaks the minute they get into the tunnel, that's why I usually take the bankhead....

  • wow i go threw their everyday

  • I-10 skirts through Downtown and along Mobile's industrial waterfront, before transitioning to a more suburban landscape just past the I-65 interchange.

  • Awesome! First video to do justice to my hometown...

  • I noticed that the passing of the light poles on the center medium were in tempo with the music. :-)

  • I must admit...that was dumb luck.

  • Great job FreewayJim and co-pilot!
