You are being very unfair toward Epstein by maintaining this site at this point. Now that we all know how Epstein got got by Cashman in the Crawford affair, Epstein proves what a light weight he actually is. The Sox are in free-fall, an epic collapse, so many changes must come in the off season. Job # 1 should be sending Epstein back to the bush leagues where he belongs.

All of the Yankees home grown guys play the same positions as the Red Sox home grown guys (Closer, Left/center fielder, second baseman, catcher, backup infielder, reliever). There's one exception: Yankees have a home-grown shortstop, Sox have a first baseman. Isn't shortstop considered one of the most "core" positions of a team?
