too dangerous for me especially with this crazy weather were having u cant ride a bike in snow and u would freeze where as in a car u are warm and can get to where u need to go and back safely
@shredmaster100 I've ridden a Harley at below -10C temps on icy roads and use my K1200RS for work trips right after the roads are dry, cold or not. In a second when someone starts talking about real men bikes I know he/she hasn't got one, no biker would talk shit like that.
Horses for courses fellas. Cruisers are not be compared to sports bikes. Having said that, Triuiph should make stock trike based on the engine block. It just too powerful for a 2 wheeler and could open a new segment in North America.
I have beat a vmax and 2 vrods in the 1/4 mi. lost to a ninja 750. Remember wt. to HP ratios... ITs a power cruiser NOT a sportbike. Keep that in mind boys :)
Anyone who thinks these are slow knows nothing. I ride a GSXR 750 aswell as a speedtriple. I had a go on one of these and it almost tore my arms off. Im not ashamed to say that this bike is to much meat for me to handle.
@guins99 So the heavier bike the better huh? A cruiser is "man's bike" ? I think YOU cant handle a man's bike. Try some 1000CC, 190kg, 180-200 BHP bike and go have some fast fun in the corners. Can't handle that? Yeah, you just stick with your cruiser and go cruise.
@Dracothius A big heavy cruiser is going to "eat" a racing bike? What planet do you live on?
Dont get me wrong fellas, this Triumph is a beautiful bike with probably shitload of torque but dont compare apples and oranges.
Actually the rocket 3 would beat that gsx-r as well as any other bike to about 80mph or so. Then yes the gsx-r would pass. In everyday driving on the road the rocket 3 will eat your gsx-r. It will probably beat anything in the 1/8th mile. So I think I'll stick with the rocket for my "street bike" and get the gsx-r for when I go to the track.
@DracothiusAthanasius this is a very beautiful and powerful bike i would to see it take on a gsx-r of the same year. There's video on youtube where they had yamaha V-max going head to head with the Rocket III and the V-max beat it. all and all great bikes would love to have one.
@123serioussam LOL thanks for proving my point -- dry weight on that bike is about 350 lbs -- 600 cc's -- its a toy... weighs a bit more than the 10 speed I got for my 12th birthday... when you grow up you may get a cruiser if you think you can handle a man's bike. Tell you what, you can have the last word... have at it. hint -- if you want a sport bike triumph makes something called a Daytona -- would eat that gsxr for lunch.
@guins99 You are oh so wrong, all bikes can be fun and all bikes can be dangerous in wrong or inexperienced hands. Cruisers generally are easier and more relaxing to ride, the name cruiser tends to be a bit of a give away, and sports bikes can need a lot more taming. I personally ride a speed triple and it can be fun both ways. To say one type of bike is any manlier than another is about as idiotic as comparing a F1 car to a Jeep. now go an enjoy your bike and let others enjoy theirs
i prefer the honda fireblade or r1 yamaha real mens bikes and will test your nerve at 200 mph

the radiator sticks out too far. Drop the bike, damage the radiator, and you're fucked. Start walking
Air cooled more reliable. Drop it and pick it up and ride again. No problem
alanbstard4 1 month ago
@alanbstard4 Just dont be a twat and drop your bike, problem solved.

@FabJSY1984 easier said than done, especially if it ain't your fault. Water cooling is an unnecessary nonsense that adds weight and complexity

I love the idea of being able to spin the rear wheel on take-off;
