I remember watching this when I was like 7 years old and I always remembered this movie and I looked it up on the internet and I found this. Now that I think about it it's really cheesy. HAHA. It kills to live *Deep Breath* and it lives to kill.
@jojothedog1234 I was thinking the same thing. Why the hell would you travel across the galaxy and then be surprised by something in your own solar system?
Klaus Kinski always looks like an alien! The movie should be called "Kinski"... The tagline is awesomely bad "It kills to live... and it lives to kill!"
so what if this is an alien rip? alien ripped the movie IT! the terror from beyond space..a lot of movies are made from being ripped and in turn help rip others into movies. :P
Um. That was a Star Wars blaster effect at :16... Actually, although it looks like a super-low-budget hybrid of Alien and The Thing, it watches like the cinematic equivalent of drinking three bottles of bottom shelf back room mezcal and then slamming your head against the door of your fridge four or five times.
Yeah it was kind of a rip-off of Alien and in some ways maybe a rip-off of The Thing and Invasion of the Body Snatchers and has some Star Wars sound effects I noticed, but I thought it was decent enough. I mena it's still got some decent acting, effects, and a script (unlike the AWFUL Alien vs Hunter a rip-off of AvP which wasn't even worth copying). They at least tried and it's not bad. Course the copy I found didn't work well on most of the second half so hey some might know better than I do.
remember that alien was not a new idea by the time it was made the concept came from films made in the 50s and 60s like 'IT the Terror from beyond' Queen of Blood'
He's the best thing in this movie though, and his role in it is pretty miniscule, as I recall. I'd much rather watch him in Fitzeraldo, Nosferatue the Vampire, Aguire The Wrath Of God or even Android than this.
this was one of many that was trying to cash in on the alien franchise, and the crew who did this movie went on and did the effects for James Camerons Aliens
@DangerousD6969 Ok, I was attempting to be polite there because I thought there was a civil geeky conversation to be had, but no. The Skotak Bros and Alec Gillis worked on this film and not James Cameron, so fuck off into your Manga fantasies.
So, nope, it is you are who "Is Wrong". James Cameron worked on 'Galaxy of Terror', he had nothing to do with this film unless it was credited somewhere else.
loved this movie when i was a kid. anyone remember a Sci-Fi horror flick called Dark Side of The Moon. was about the Bermuda Triangle and Satan or something, Anyway, rented them both on the same night, good times
I remember watching this when I was 12 years old. In grade 6. I remembered it scared me so much. It also confused me because there was alot of sex and lots of pictures of womens legs, backs etc in this film which both aroused and confused me. Still to this day! lol now that I am 31.
Rental movie days. I seen this movie a few years ago and I was never sure if I saw it as a kid if I did I suppose I fell a sleep on it.
A little bland but okay. I've always digged movies like Shadowzone, Deep Star Six, Moontrap, Project Shadowchaser, Re-Animator, Leviathan, Screamers, and so on. This movie had some appeal but I guess it was the schematics altogether that made it take a drop back to many movies I knew as a kid back in the late 80's.
my memories of this from when I was 6 are indescribably dark and vague. great movie I remeber. wierd when you are young and have memories of things like this today. makes you wonder whats its all about if you know what I mean. mans storys of the darkness of the universe......... mmmmmmm life and reality, its just aLL so fasinating if you think about deeply

If you think Klaus being in this movie is funny, note that Ferris Bueller's dad and Simone from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure are in it too.

... Can you imagine Klaus Kinski and Christopher Walken having a scene together in a movie? Wierd...

Alien spawned all kinds of weird crappy fillms in the 80s cinema... but none had a creature as shocking as Klaus Kinski.
