I _think_ it's a 2-player-only feature. I've noticed that if both of my ships lose their last lives at the same time, then I have to restart from a checkpoint.

Hmm, whether or not you know about it, Lord British's Disrupter doesn't just emit a screen-crossing beam for split seconds, but it's name indeed actually means something. I discovered this today playing myself that the disruptor can allow for some ... "disruption" of enemy firepower. Test it on simple lasers (not constant or long ones though) with Lord British anywhere (since you have this at a save state). It won't help too much, but it's very interesting.

Thanks. I'll probably end up saving a state before the 4th boss (once I get there unscathed), then use it to focus on practicing the last 3. It gets soooo tiring having to beat Tetran over and over and over +_+.

This BETTER come out on PS2 or PS3. I will buy a PS3 just to play Gradius games... but I refuse to buy a portable that I have no use for.

The game won't let you have more than 4 options in total. After that, if I select 'option', then an option will move from one player to the other.
