  • he shoots like a woman - leaning back, with both arms straight in front of him. he needs to keep his strong foot behind him with his weak foot in front while leaning forward/arching his back...also he needs to keep his strong arm straight and his weak arm loose while maintaining a strong grip. this guy will have an accident one day - just a matter of time

  • HAHA!! He reminds me of my first time shooting. That giddy feeling after the first shot. Good stuff.lol

  • sweet vid!

  • Kahr is a excellent weapon. So is Sig Sauer. As I said I also carry an S&W M&P Compact in .40. However I never leave home without my Kel-Tec 3AT. With the clip that I added to the right side of the frame, I can carry it almost anywhere and it weighs almost nothing. I carry Cor-Bon JHP's and an extra mag in a knife sheath on my belt. To be honest it hurts like hell to shoot, but it works. I have 2 Sigs, a 229 and a 230. The 230 is also a .380 and is fairly small.

  • he doesn't look very comfortable shooting, he is leaning back. I've shot this gun a few times(family member recently purchased) i like the feel but the sights could use some improvement. other than that it is easy to dissemble and i fun to shoot.

  • Save some wear on your frame. You do not need to use the slide release. After you insert the new mag pull back on the slide and release. You are ready to rock and roll again. I would use the slide release only of you are in a situation that requires a fast reload. Just a suggestion, take it for what it's worth :)

  • @dagmaar1975 yeah i noticed that when i would go to a range and shoot .22 handguns just for plinking and because it is cheaper than my .40 and 380 auto ammunition that after shooting about 250 rounds one day i came home to clean it and didn't notice anything wrong with slide but as i continue to fire more and more using the slide release alot (10 round magazines) each time i clean it you can see aliltle more wear down on the gun.

  • Tell your brother when he loads another mag into the mag well, please don't push the slide release. This motion wears on your catch and will wear it out. You should "always" pull the slide rearward to rack in another shell. Just food for thought.

  • I used to own a PT140 but replaced it with a Smith and Wesson M&P .40

The guy shooting the PT140 in this video looks like a noobie that has no idea what hes doing.

  • I love .40 caliber. It has some balls.

  • looks like Oregon

  • Damn city kids playing with firearms!

  • ...Yeah welcome to America jackass.

  • Its good to get non-shooters out to learn and shoot.

  • kids play with firearms everyday in my city man

  • thats cool my grandpa just bought a Taurus Pt140 today a a gun show and it has real pearl grips and gold accents. It looks pretty cool I cant wait til we head out to the range again

  • @pivotboy63 really? dude u sure its a pt140? would love to see a picture..!

  • im pretty sure id have to double check though, havent seen it since we went shooting 6+ months ago :)

  • Great Gun, the new generation of them have no problems like the older gens. Ive shot 1000's of rounds through it with no problems. As far as jumping around..its a 40cal going down a 3" bore. Yea its gonna kick a little. But i can unload a whole mag into a target no prob at 7-9 yrds. Plus it has a safty and its SA/DA.. Awesome gun! i trust it and carry it everyday.

  • Well there have been a lot of people who had problems wiyh mag drops uopn fire. I actually had mine sent in for it.

  • yeah and if you read up on that youll find out why. dipshits hitting the mag release button when they fire. not the guns fault.

  • Elders alway know best. Your uncle has a pt140 and pt145, they are both good guns. I have a pt140 millennium and a glock19. i never leave home without my pt140 millennium, it is the best concealed weapon by far.

  • Nice piece! But try some eye protection at least... You get only one set of eyeballs...

  • @user1154101

    Seriously.

  • I want to thank you guys for posting this! I just bought my wife a PT140 SS but she has been using every excuse not to fire it due to recoil. The only other small .40 she's ever fired was my Glock 27 (also .40). After I had her watch your video we are heading to the range in the morning. She already has her CCW and is an avid shooter but was afraid the Taurus would recoil worse than the Glock. She was amazed at how little recoil it displayed. Thanks again!!

  • @rickd248 Hows the recoil on the PT140 compared to the G27? I would imagine the Glock has a bit more of a kick being a compact. I know a friend of mine has a G23 and G26 and the 23 was much more enjoyable to fire even with the larger caliber

  • @jonnyspringfield Taurus has a unique grip system. It uses a lot more rubber with ribs built into the grip. It does absorb a lot of the recoil. Now for the bad news. Shortly after I wrote the glowing report it started misfiring and doing strange things. I took it to my gun smith who has a big sign posted saying he will not work on Taurus weapons. I sent it back to Taurus who took almost four months and many telephone calls to get it back. I went for the S&W M&P in .40. I love it.

  • @rickd248 Thats a bit disappointing. I would hope that they would be able to have the pistol back sooner than four months but I guess it is going to south america more often than not. I think I may be going with a Kahr 9mm for my CCW. I've had it recommended to me by 3 ex military/retired law enforcement this week. Plus the single stack will be easier concealed being a slim framed dude.

  • I have the millennium pt 140 pro does anybody know where i can find a good iwb holster online for my gun?

  • Comment removed

  • I use an Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 0 for my PT 140. It's works pretty well and it's inexpensive, around $10

  • I've got the PT24/7 PT111 PT140 and PT145. I carry the .45 for self defense and my wife carries the 111 9mm loaded with Winchester Ranger SXT 147 gr. Anyone on the receiving end is going to have a very bad day.

  • I have the PT 145.

I got it brand new at a gunshow for $360 out the door. I looked at a lot of small frame 45's, like the XD, Sig and Glock but this is my favorite by far.

I carry it in a slider hi rider holster CCW.

It is so light and comfortable, you forget it's there. It's way more comfortable than my Bersa Thunder that I used to carry about IWB.

I was not used to DAO but it has a nice trigger pull and smooth as butter.

You can't beat the lifetime warrenty.

  • My PT145 has the SA/DA trigger, not the DAO. I prefer the SA myself, but the downside is the sights. It has the Heine straight eight sights with the dove tail front and night sights cost 145 dollars. If you have the DAO gun, you might also have the fixed sights that takes the night sights that cost only 85 dollars. It would be worth checking into if you haven't already. Also, not sure if you had any troubles with your Bersa, but a few have been known to jam alot or literally blow apart.

  • Eye protection, ear protection, finger off the trigger...these are basic safety rules for firearms. Also, many firearms instructors teach to not use the slide release lever because it causes premature wear on the firearm as well a person may not be able to drop it in a gun fight due to the dexterity not working in your fingers due to stress and adrenaline. Blood will pump to the center most part of the body leaving the outer extremities numb and therefore not as functionable as normal.

  • I like guns, and I like people who like guns. And I like those people to live long. So please, make sure the next guy you let use your gun knows how to check and safe the weapon before shooting. Best Regards,

  • 10-4

  • Best shooting video I've seen this month.

  • I have a taurus PT 145 , it shoots extremely well, better than any compact 9mm. I love this gun, 45 cal rules. the gun is just a bit bigger than PT 140. ten big ass 45 bullets in the magazine. the millenium pro series 3rd generation are very good guns, at a reasonable price.

  • I just bought a PT 140 Pro too. I love it! I also have a Springfield Armory XD Sub Compact .40 that I paid $490 for, it's pretty, but I prefer the $275 Taurus. Besides, if I run out of ammo with the Taurus I can still use it to crack a skull, the XD...not so much.

  • Not wearing eyes or ears, you can tell he's a first-timer.

  • he does have ear plus in. he still is an amature!!

  • he wasnt used to the gun you could tell.

  • You're right, This was the second gun he's ever fired. The first was my brother's WaltherP22 that he shot right before this. big difference between a .22 pistol and a .40

  • Which is better, the P22 or the Millennium Pro? It looks like the Mill Pro looks better for concealment in public, but not to small, which is a good thing ;). The one with the 2 tone silver looks better than the black one.

  • I got the millenium pro - it is a great gun, and I have it with me at all times. Smooth, small, light and accurate. But obviously you shouldn't ask youtube - you should go to the range and see which one you can shoot better.

  • i never leave home without 40 cal don't take someones opinion hold a shoot the gun yourself what work 4 you may not for the next guy

  • got a melinium bad ass i wish it hold more in the clip

  • the 9mm pro holds 12 in the mags. bot bad capacity.

  • I own a pt140 millenium pro also...its baller as fuck. hasnt jammed once! ive got about 500 rounds through it so far. love it, carry it with me everywhere.

  • hasnt done much shooting has he

  • I think it was his first time shooting.

  • I just got a PT145 (the .45ACP version). I have yet to shoot it. I can't wait!

  • My great uncle who fought in WWII was so impressed with my PT145 after shooting it he went and bought one. He now prefers it over his Colt 1911 .45acp that's he's been using for decades. Taurus is underrated. They make excellent guns.

  • Is it just me or was he leaning BACK quite a bit?

  • I got the Millenium Pro and you just put in the clip and cock it back. simple as that

  • how do you load this handgun?

  • need to work on the stance etc.. Have and like the 140. Prefer a glock 23.

  • i bought the exact same gun. it is a nice piece

  • you aim small, good shootin man.

  • das a badass piece

  • TRIGGER PULL IS WAY TO LONG!!!!!!

  • Think he could use a few lessons poor gun handling

  • I have the Taurus PT 111 which is a 9mm version of that gun. I think it shoot pretty good for being a Little Gun. Recently I have bought the SMITH and WESSON M&P Chambered in 40 S&W.. Its Great
