  • longhouse belong to grandmothers sister clan group-women/children all belonged to the clan-not to a man-women also owned the communal farms-men were guests of their wives mothers-men were gone hunting,trading,warring,sporti­ng etc-much like today-but today the women/her children have noone to defend them from the husband or from stranger when hes at work& he cant defend vs 2 men/or in war-so longhouse housing provide safety/farm food 4 women/daughters-see birth control plants of native women
