man i cant wait until i get my times square moment. is it too exspensive to take a cab every where? I heard the subway is cheap but not to sound shallow but i hear alot about people being harrased by bums alot on the subways

Times square - don't spend all your time there, the rest of the city is better.

The cabs are expensive, it's best to take the subway. I've been going on subways all over New York since i was twelve, and I've never been harrassed or bummed or whatever, now im 25.

If you go to the subway, get a metro card. You put $20 on them and that lasts you about a week, depending how often you go on them.

It only costs $2 a trip, same with buses.

one tip, walk as much as you can, the best way to discover this unbelivacle city. Once you are used to it you dont'nt need a cab or subway anymore. I was there half a year ago and stil am homesick for The Big Apple!
