that I couldn't find in most of my "normal" peers. It hurts when I hear people say "Those retards/cripples/spastics should be sent to death camps, etc." I think God made disabled people because they know much more about life than we do. And if we took the time to know them, we would find out that they are no different than the rest of us, and that they are still human, regardless if they can't walk, speak, etc. Peace. :)
I don't know why people make fun of people with special needs so much. This may sound like a stereotype, but judging by personal experience, they don't judge by the color of your skin, ethnicity, sexuality/gender identity, nationality, what you wear or small things like that. I have Asperger's Syndrome, and I usually get ostracized and teased by the "normal" kids in my mainstream school. But when I went to a summer day camp with kids like me, they had a spasrk of loyalty and friendliness cont.
I have special needs kids and it deeply touched my heart, but then the editing went from bad to worse. Every sentence written lasted 2 seconds and it was impossible to read so I had to pause it everytime to read it. Not Easy on my mobile. Then the final hilarity was 'being' spelt as 'bieing'. So I look at everyone's comments and I wonder if people really watched it to the end?
@cjoncomp this was my very first video .. I know it's not perfect .. I'll do better next time .. thank you so much for the valuable feedback .. I'll keep it in mind ^_^
AWWW that's sooo beautifully done! My son Daniel has severe spastic quad cerebral palsy (CP), scoliosis and nonverbal with profound developmentally delay. Daniel is so unique, for years many professionals didn't think he had the cognitive abilibity to do anything and some of them had recommended to let nature take its course. Today, Daniel had proof them wrong and he is doing better than anyone ever expected!
When I was seven,i got diagnoised with epilepsy,and my mom said I was lucky I didn't get special needs cause I could've. I told her, "No, I'm not lucky. I would've been blessed to get special needs. I dedicate this song to my little man. When he came to us at 1 year old he couldn''t hit 6 month old milestones. Now hes almost 11 and up to about 6 or 7 years old.
@maysaa1 when I found out his brain damage was from his biological mother dropping him down a flight of stairs at 3 months old I was so mad I wanted to throttle her but his smile warmed my heart and I grew to forgive her. Now I'm just thankful he survived and could be my loving little man.
but Forgiveness is a virtue of the brave and the kind so its wonderful that you forgave her and stopped looking back , just enjoy the present with your loving little man you're both lucky to have each other , wish you all the best .. and a happy new year ^_^
This video is in HONOR of Children with Special Needs as it is after all "Special Education Week". This is a post from my friend Jan requesting we that we pe post. So here it is: Children with special needs only want what we all want: to be accepted. Can I make a request of anyone willing to post this and leave it on your
status forat least an hour? It is Special Education week, and this
is in honor of all children made in a unique way or who learn a
wow, this is so sweet. it made me cry. i have Spina Bifida, and i'm 23 now, so i'm not a child, but i am so blessed to have a family who has always loved me for who i am, dispite my disability. they have been so amazing. i could never repay them for how amazing they still are to this day!
hey there sweet heart , you know not all people understand the disabled , but some love them so much that they look past the disability and all they see is an equal wonderful human being , I guess you are lucky to have such a loving and caring family and I'm lucky as well to get this sweet comment from you ;)
@maysaa1 yup unfortunately my family seems to be the only ones who r able to look past my disability. i was bullied a lot growing up. but at least now i understand that the reason they picked on me was cause they didnt understand my disability, so they thought it was "Strange". most people do think of things they dont understand as strange. especially other children. oddly enough, now that i'm an adult, the children r the ones looking past my disability, and just seeing me as Auntie! :)
that is odd , kids can be very cruel to each other and I think picking on disabled kids gives them a feeling that they are strong and powerful since the disabled are some how shy and usually can't fight back . but you can't blame them in the end they're just kids , the real sad thing is when a fully grown adult doesn't understand , there is no excuse for that !
Auntie Jessie huh ?aww thats really sweet , I want to be Auntie Maysaa ;P
@maysaa1 i agree, that is sad when fully grown adults dont understand. even more then that, it's sad that they dont try to find out more instead of looking at us like freaks. and yup, i have 10 nieces and nephews, and 3 others that i conciter nieces and nephews cause their mommies r like sisters to me. and i love them all dearly! i get to hang out with 5 of them tonight. i cant wait! i love it! that's one thing i hate, how people think cause i'm disabled, i cant do anything. that's so not true!
oh my gosh this reminded me about my 17 year old brother im 12 and its really challenging and he has autisum. its a blessing he is going into his 2nd year of highschool. God can do miricals! I LOVE YOU CJ <3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
miracles do happen and we can help with our love and support and your brother is a wonderful example , I bet he's great and strong to have the will to do what others think he can't and he's lucky to have a brother who loves him and cares about him like you , thank you for your comment
I am disabilities called Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy & Russell Silver Syndrome. I am 17 yrs old my name is Michaela. My boyfriend disabilities called Down Syndrome & Autism.
@birds16ful ,, dear Michaela it's Great that the disability you have ,, didn't stand in the way and didn't stop you from enjoying a relationship with someone ,,
Thank you so much for passing by and sharing with me ,,
Great song and video. My 3 year old daughter has Microcephaly and a chromosome deletion. We're still exploring the cauyse of her disabilities, fully knowing we may never have answers, but she's such a joy and blessing. Can't imagine my life without her.
@MommyTo2under2 your comment made me aware of Microcephaly and a chromosome deletion and gave me an idea about it and its symptoms ,, we often want answers to everything ,, sometimes its better to enjoy what we have ,, I hope you find the answers your looking for and the strength you need to deal with your daughters condition ,, wish you both a healthy and happy life ^_^
thank u for this video!! i am a young mother with a son with autism and as much it can be overwhelming and as i cry typing this i would not trade anything in the world for him..as a mother i thought it was my job to teach him..when in fact it was him to teach me!
@leosgirl26 my eyes filled up with tears ,, thats the most touching comment ever
my brother has autism too ,, these kids are the bliss of our lives and i can't imagine my life without them ,, it's a struggle , a journey and a special experience but as hard as it is sometimes ,, you're right ,, we do learn allot from them each day ,, I wish you and your son the best in life ,, and thank you ^_^
I am disabled teenager girl with Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy & Russell Silver Syndrome. I was diagnosed at 11 months old in May of 1994. I am only 4'8 tall

@maysaa1 when I found out his brain damage was from his biological mother dropping him down a flight of stairs at 3 months old I was so mad I wanted to throttle her but his smile warmed my heart and I grew to forgive her. Now I'm just thankful he survived and could be my loving little man.
Azsli 1 year ago
@Azsli
thats tragic :(
but Forgiveness is a virtue of the brave and the kind so its wonderful that you forgave her and stopped looking back , just enjoy the present with your loving little man you're both lucky to have each other , wish you all the best .. and a happy new year ^_^

wow, this is so sweet. it made me cry. i have Spina Bifida, and i'm 23 now, so i'm not a child, but i am so blessed to have a family who has always loved me for who i am, dispite my disability. they have been so amazing. i could never repay them for how amazing they still are to this day!
SweetJessie1987 1 year ago
@SweetJessie1987
hey there sweet heart , you know not all people understand the disabled , but some love them so much that they look past the disability and all they see is an equal wonderful human being , I guess you are lucky to have such a loving and caring family and I'm lucky as well to get this sweet comment from you ;)
thank you and take care ^_^
maysaa1 1 year ago
@maysaa1 yup unfortunately my family seems to be the only ones who r able to look past my disability. i was bullied a lot growing up. but at least now i understand that the reason they picked on me was cause they didnt understand my disability, so they thought it was "Strange". most people do think of things they dont understand as strange. especially other children. oddly enough, now that i'm an adult, the children r the ones looking past my disability, and just seeing me as Auntie! :)
SweetJessie1987 1 year ago
@SweetJessie1987
that is odd , kids can be very cruel to each other and I think picking on disabled kids gives them a feeling that they are strong and powerful since the disabled are some how shy and usually can't fight back . but you can't blame them in the end they're just kids , the real sad thing is when a fully grown adult doesn't understand , there is no excuse for that !
Auntie Jessie huh ?aww thats really sweet , I want to be Auntie Maysaa ;P
Love hearing from you , stay in touch ^_^
maysaa1 1 year ago
@maysaa1 i agree, that is sad when fully grown adults dont understand. even more then that, it's sad that they dont try to find out more instead of looking at us like freaks. and yup, i have 10 nieces and nephews, and 3 others that i conciter nieces and nephews cause their mommies r like sisters to me. and i love them all dearly! i get to hang out with 5 of them tonight. i cant wait! i love it! that's one thing i hate, how people think cause i'm disabled, i cant do anything. that's so not true!
SweetJessie1987 1 year ago
@SweetJessie1987
it's there lose believe me , they are missing out on getting to know someone different , different in everything but in a good way
disabled people as weak and fragile as they may seem but in fact they are much much much stronger then any of us.
hope u had fun last night , but since u have allot of nieces and nephews how about u lend me some :P

Great song and video. My 3 year old daughter has Microcephaly and a chromosome deletion. We're still exploring the cauyse of her disabilities, fully knowing we may never have answers, but she's such a joy and blessing. Can't imagine my life without her.

@MommyTo2under2 your comment made me aware of Microcephaly and a chromosome deletion and gave me an idea about it and its symptoms ,, we often want answers to everything ,, sometimes its better to enjoy what we have ,, I hope you find the answers your looking for and the strength you need to deal with your daughters condition ,, wish you both a healthy and happy life ^_^
Thank you ..
