Women in Islam are treated like cattle. They must not wear tight clothes or clothes showing anything but the face and hands, they must not pray with the men, and they can be beaten as a punishment like a small child is spanked for doing something wrong, as if a man is more important. Women are every bit as important as men. We go through the long and painful process of childbirthing and in Islam for this? Simply disgusting. I do not hate muslim people, I simply hate the way they are brought up.

I don't think any man is worthy of punishing any woman because Allah is the ultimate judge in the long run... as the Bible says...let the man without sin cast the first stone... Sad thing, it is machismo that permits this, not only in Arab countries, it is all over the world...Latin America, America, anywhere, woman is still not put on the same level as man, but in Islam we are respected and proctected as women although it is hard for ppl to abide by Allah's rules at all times, unfortunately.

1) I've been learning arabic for 7 years and I KNOW what am talking about, "salam"=peace and "estislam"=sumission, both come from the same root word. So your not wrong and but am not wrong either.
