  • in a matter of days come and get beta keys bf3 at

    battle3keys.co.cc

  • shogun the only units there is is samurai...

  • @TheSuperieur well you have ashigaro still

  • Sorry for bad english

  • I love this game Byzantines i command to fuck the gay crusaders

  • ha they both are using the same voices as Rome total war.

  • I can't play Kingdoms because the disk is blank :(

  • actually the chinese invented the first flamethower and cannon

the flamethower was called a "fire lance" and they posted cannons along the walls of the great wall

  • Anyone here ever tried Eras total Conquest, really broadens up about the question that a totally different culture and civilization will able to beat any other.it also provices functionality about earlier expansion and colonism hence the modified map for some of the campaign(late ages)provides 198 settlements from the entire world for your sheer pleasure

  • Good game, not only enhances your strategic/tactic skills but also teaches you history and a not a cliche kind of history, look at this video; Christians fighting Christians in the middle of the Crusades, it happened and not only one time.

If I ever have children I want them to be addict to games like this.

  • @juankmilo07 Well said.

  • I always facepalm over the strategies used in these trailers and intros

  • The sacking of Constantinople was one of the greatest follies in war ever. The Byzantine Empire was severely crippled, and many, many important documents were destroyed. The (Catholic) Christians were looking for glory quickly and instead of marching on Jerusalem they marched on their fellow (Orthodox) Christians, the Byzantines. What a shame indeed.

  • @TheInvisibleClarity "Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain." Friedrich von Schiller (1759-1805)

  • i want a game where i can play as the mongols :/

  • now the problem is you guys didnt even buy it and you say like ah its shit whatever one island and stuff

no its completle diffrent its more about honor and instead of tech there are like arts

and you can manage your own agent and generals skills and maybe it has some same units but one one island it has more than 60 provinces so same as all total war series so shut up and it has a brand new multiplayer scene where you have the general create your own shit and stuff

  • @miha635 + it has animations and not some stupid hits that take like damage and then again and again and again so parry or dogde or kill choose it has more skins for ppl so there arent to many same faces in a row of ppl it also has better general speeches and dont talk about diversety couze there are 2 religions by the way there are new agents to and new movies for agent actions so please dont spam my account anymore

  • @miha635 medival 2, with mods (stainless steel ftw >.<) ist much better than sogun 2.. but just because i like the medival setting more^^(yes i playd both games)

  • @TheLoki7281 stainless steel, third age, broken crescent all of them are big ,shogun 2 is small

  • @miha635 no shogun 2 is gay becouse same units f.cking each others.. Buildings same, units same, movements same, castles same bla bla bla everyhing same..

  • @OnlyGokhan shogun is much better becus its japanese!! XD

  • @junandeo12345 Ehh. No it's not.

  • @OnlyGokhan well they are all japonese so ...

  • @OnlyGokhan Ever heard of historicallyh accurate?

  • @miha635

let's just agree that all Total War series kicks ass

  • @miha635

    Go screw yourself.

In Shogun, its basically.... Japan Clan 1. Japan Clan 2. Japan Clan 3.... WHERE'S THE DIVERSITY!?

In Medieval you have western european, eastern european, mediterrenean, middle eastern and even mongolians and aztecs! WAY BETTER!

And for the record Empire Total War had the entire globe as its playground, so its better.

  • @SuperSupaSAIYAN you screw yourself you just dont have the money to buy it and your in denial that its better

and by the way total war shogun wouldnt be made if it was worst that medeival and the diversety:go play the game and you will have it

whats the point of battle if you have to hit someone10 times before he dyes in shogun there are at least animations and there isnt super human stuff lol your all pathetic

  • @miha635

Shogun 2 is NOT expensive (Crysis 2).

The graphics ARE impressive. Yes it is good that the first game in the series has been revived.

But now, how is there diversity in the factions if they all come from the same group of islands with the exact same culture?

And besides, it DOES take like 10 hits to kill someone in the Total War games unless you like max your upgrades. Animations are good and all, but there's nothing more satisfying than having Redcoats bayonet people to death.

  • @miha635

    HEY!!

guys we shouldn't fight about the total war series we should just agree that all total war games are practicly the best strategy games EVAH!

  • @miha635 ur gay

  • @miha635 Dude Medieval 2 Is Epicness Shogun 2 Is Gayer Than Beiber

  • @miha635 I like them both

  • The clip is all wrong! Byzantine troops would not have been fighting crusaders. Second point: Varangian guards wouldn't be using 'Greek fire' either. Its the typical nonsense that they knockout, these days. The first medieval/shogun games are far better.

  • @keitha1200 yes they did during the 4th crusade. when the crusaders attack Constantinople and sacked it

  • greek fire may have been lost to time, but napalm is pretty much the same, also thermite burns through pretty much anything

  • Lol, the priest knew about America before Columbo!

  • Turks say about Greek fire " Fire which can burn on the sea ". So it's true, Eastern Roman Empire used it lastly in 1453.

  • They used the Carthaginian voice actor from Rome: Total War for the Greek Byzantines in this video lol

  • @EdikShepherd and the roman voice for the christian king

  • ok thats it, deleting my comment

  • Ah, i remember when an entire crusade attacked Constantinople. I raided thm before the siege and destroyed all their siege equipment but one catapult. They used it to knock down a single wall-piece and then tried to squish 5000 soldiers through there. I placed 20 flame-throwers on the walls above the hole, they ended with 600 kills :D

  • ok please can people STOP replay me? i seriusly dont care anymore

  • Medieval flamethrowers?Now that's awesome!

  • One of the best games ever

  • wowww thats what you geet for riding on horses

  • :38 why do they take a huge cross to war?

  • @stumkorean That's basically saying why do people carry flags and standards into battle.

  • @stumkorean Well, that is the cross Jesus was crucified on, apparently for them no army have fallen under it.

In other words it is a moral booster.

  • @Tarik360 I see...hmm i still think its a weird thing to take such a holy thing to war though.

  • @stumkorean For them it was probably not, especially when they were obviously deeply religious.

  • @RkahkshiKZ i would rather see rome 2 coming out...

  • @bwZTheTouch wasn't that bombs?

  • lolz wtf flamethrowers in the mideival times XD

  • @wensp167 it's real my friend..

  • @wensp167 It was called "greek fire", and it was what made the Byzantine Empire a feared opponent, especially at sea. Others tried to copy it but never managed, until today no one really knows how it worked 'cause the technology and the secrets behind it were lost with the fall of the Empire.

  • @wensp167 Actually the Chinese invented a "fire lance" or "fire spear" by the 1260. Essentially it was reinforced bamboo rod packed with gun powder and even a projectile. Used at close range, it would confuse or maim troops and scare off horses not used to such noise. Also considering that China did a lot of trading on the Silk Road, it would not be a surprise if the Byzantine Empire used troops equipped with such weapons.

  • @wensp167 yep, called greek fire i believe

  • @TheRugbyfullback greek FIRE PEWPEW KABOOM! says the marauder

  • @wensp167 Greek fire, duh =P.

  • @Ariminua i aint some person who actually studies dis stuff

  • @wensp167 Well then you should probably educate yourself then. Also, grammer work would help too.

  • @wensp167 something like flamethrowers were used since ancient times btw.

  • @wensp167 search up for greek fire or υγρό πυρ it was an invention of the Greeks( Byzantines)

  • @wensp167 lol romans has their own type of flamthrowers....

  • @wensp167 greek fire :D the secret weapon of the eastern roman empire :)

  • @wensp167 yeah it was known around the world as "greek fire" and is one of the worlds most guarded secrets. to this day historians don't know its formula

  • @wensp167 Thats historically accurate dude, the Byzantines had pumps which sprayed out Greek fire.

  • @wensp167 greek fire.

  • @wensp167 yeah, it's called greek fire, and it's a substance that can't be extinguished with water, in fact, adding or pouring water on it will just feed the flames :D

So , no fiction here man :)

  • @ShadowSpy666 um isnt that what happens when we light oil onfire?

  • @wensp167 good question...yes, i believe it's the same, thus "greek fire" probably was some kind of cooking oil, right? Only much cheaper to produce i recon :)

  • @ShadowSpy666 Sadly the true way of making Greek Fire has been lost in history since it was such a well kept state secret. Greek Fire was used in naval conflicts by the Byzantine Empire, true, but it could also be placed in ceramic jars or other containers and hurled at the enemy. Essentially this made it into an incendiary grenade, but to fire it like that from a tube was not possible.

  • @wensp167 The Chinese at the time were using primitive firearms called a "Fire Lances." Essentially they were bamboo tubes filled with gunpowder and a attached to a spear. The primary use for this was against foreign cavalry, as the Song Dynasty needed to make up for their lack of horses. When fired in volley it had a great impact. It is likely the Byzantines here picked some up on the Silk Road, which they had access to during medieval times. Hope this helps and all the best! :)

  • @wensp167 One of the most notable uses of Fire Lances was in 1232 at the battle of Kaifeng. The attacking Mongols were routed.

  • @wensp167 it was used by the Greeks .. you know the movie 300 Spartans ? ...Greeks burn Persians's fleet with this flamethrowers ...duh .. XD

  • @wensp167

But they were... hand pumped fuel, splashed at the enemy. It really existed, it was Greek fire thrower.

  • this crusade whats just about Venice being jealous of Constantinople, so they were able to put in the path of the next crusade (i think its the 2nd or 3rd) Constantinople. Anyhow the Ottoman Empire would have destroyed bizantine empire like they still did

  • Those flame throwers were [ Trumpets ] in medievil time, They were invented in A very christian place called Malta

  • why do the knights fight against each other? Shouldn't they fight against Saladin?

  • @Quy4life each other means what? They're fighting with Byzantine

  • @Quy4life It was after Saladin and Richard the Lionheart passsed away. A new crusade was launched in the 13th century, but when it faced financial difficulties, the Duke of Venice offered to forgive the crusader's debt for taking over Constantinople, thus ending a trading competitor. Hope it this helps answer your question.

  • @Quy4life Because crusades were for money, power, glory and to reunite the roman church with the eastern one. :) That s why crusaders attacked zadar and Byzantine. That was in a 4th crusade if i remember correctly. Those crusaders never came to Jerusalem, their goal was "Carigrad" todays Istanbul. :)

Byzantine has never recovered and that is one of the crucial points why it was occupied by Turks in "1453"

  • @Quy4life they fight for the lands of the byzantine this should be in the middle when the third crusade was over

  • @Quy4life Catholicism dosen't mix well with Orthodoxism.

  • @Quy4life The Crusaders and Byzantines had a love/hate relationship during the crusades. They began as allies but as time went on tensions grew between the two and eventually led into open war when the 4th crusade came about and the crusaders sacked Constantinople. Your comment is 5 months old so sorry if you've been told many times before this, I just thought i'd say :P

  • @Quy4life byzatiunes vs crusaders.. they were in war

  • @Quy4life don't worry there were conflicts among kinghts too, minor skirmishes and duels :)

  • @Quy4life Dint the pope launch a crusade against the empire of Byzantine to take Constantinople?

  • @vide0gameCaster No. In the course of a plot between Philip of Swabia, Boniface of Montferrat and the Doge of Venice, the Fourth Crusade was, despite papal excommunication, diverted in 1203 against Constantinople, ostensibly promoting the claims of Alexius son of the deposed emperor Isaac.

  • @Quy4life, they should be fighting the Muslims, but unfortunately, some Crusaders were opportunists to the point that by the time the 4th crusade came around, they never even reached the holy land O_O

  • @tankhunters Ya I was thinking that too and when the Muslim guy was like fire it sounded like he was a Parthian in rtw

  • Am I the only one who noticed that the Crusader General guy sounded like the Generals from Rome Total War when he said "ATTACK!" @ 0:50?

  • @FieryMastermind if u want to see other fails you can see better map drawings than that times..

  • @OnlyGokhan yea I guess...

  • @TheEmpireStartsHere no, i havin't, but at least they could not show a map of america in a medival game...

  • @FieryMastermind :: Fail because its retelling a story. You failed.

  • @GMOddxballer fine, if i continue trying to tell u guys a little fail in the game, i wont get anywhere becouse u are all a bunch of fanboys that only cares about how good the game is, not what is bad/failed....

AND FOR THE FUCKING LAST TIME, I LIKE THE GAME, I DO NOT HATE IT!!!!

  • @FieryMastermind :: Nerd Rage Alert.

  • @FieryMastermind But the monk is a historian... he's just saying what happened ages ago.

  • @FieryMastermind alsao, its more of a monk re telling the past, if you see the opening and ending cut scenes, hes a monk reading history...

  • @FieryMastermind There are maps from way before Columbus that show America and Antarctica.

  • @FieryMastermind It is an historican who talks about what happened in the past.... so it makes sense

  • @leandermol oh, didin't know about that O_o hehe...

  • @FieryMastermind How do you know it's America? To be honest I don't see shit, nevertheless I do see Europe, Asia and Africa on the right side of the whole map.

  • @FieryMastermind

And a spherical shape of the earth, latitude and longitude lines XD

  • @FieryMastermind fail on your part.. Columbus in 1492, which is the 13th century.. Good eye on noticing the map though

  • @FieryMastermind Denmark didn't take over the world either.

  • @MilkCartonPresents wtf? did i say that?

  • @FieryMastermind That or the narrator is in the future <.<

  • @FieryMastermind the actual fail beeing u not realising that this expansion includes america as a campaign mode indicating post colombus period :)

  • @FieryMastermind I hope you know that Columbus wasn´t the first one in america

  • @94SwedishGuy if u would scroll down u would realize that i SERIUSLY DO NOT CARE anymore, it's something i wrote for 5 MONTHS AGO! get over it!!

  • @94SwedishGuy yes i do, and infact: I DO NOT FUCKING CARE ANYMORE, IT WAS SOMETHING I WROTE FOR 5 M

  • @FieryMastermind First: I take it easy. Second: you shuoldn´t have wrote that if you didn´t wanted people to correct you, (if you know it was wrong) and do you think people will take you seriously just becuase you write with Caps Lock on XD

  • @94SwedishGuy lol take it easy, right. my inbox is full about this video, i said at first, polite, and calm, stop writing to me, u would get irritable if people still would been messageing u about it ok. and i just said that it was a "fail" meaning "misstake" (sorry if people thought something else). and that thing with caps lock, when ur mad, by internet terms, u usually write with caps on, just saying, in case u did not know.

  • @FieryMastermind I see your point there, but still... I don´t know how to finish XD

  • @94SwedishGuy sluta bara XD

  • @FieryMastermind maybe the monk is from the 16th century, and is retelling the story of the Crusades?

  • @TotalWarfareMaster ok i fucking give up´(read the comments below)

  • @FieryMastermind he's looking back at history....

  • Empires was a big letdown, I bought it then switched back to the old medieval, rome games instantly. The melee combat is much more fun then watching the musket combat.

  • Stupid play by the ones inside the castle, they should hav waited, creating a bottleneck, would have won pretty easy then.

  • DIE HEATHENS!

  • u gotta wonder why they fight for something peaceful

but they r not peaceful themselves

  • whats better rome or medieval

  • @MrWibeR thats a hard question they are both on a level par!!!! but Mideval has a bigger campaign and better graphics!! there both good but u should go for Mideval!!

  • if you want to be pope all you have to do is regulary recruit a priest and have quite a few allies

  • so there are campaigns for different civilizations correct? Cuz Rome total war only had this one where is you had to do so and so by the end of this year and thats about it. No campaign intro or anything you know.

  • the fun with medieval 2 is the pope i like annoying him to hell :D

  • I'm surprised to find no religious rant here! Beautiful.

  • @BlueDestinyUnit1 no.... there was none....until you mentioned it....lol it is beautiful though, isnt it? this is why we need such awesome war games, distracts us from fighting with eachother.

  • Who cares what Total War is the best? French cavalry will pawn you all anyway. >O<

  • medieval 2 kingdoms and napoleon best games

  • yh good they go back to melee fighting and away from fake hair and slow guns

  • what is everyones most popular gun? i love the rpg personally. it's very easy to be able to devastate every person by using it! my roomie calls me the noobie for using it but who cares. i'm somewhat unique i suppose! however at the least i didnt need to pay for the game. i downloaded it without charge off mw2forfreeZinfo (replace Z with . ) a couple days ago

  • fuck empire melle is better

  • GAHH ROMAN FIRE! the first type of flamethrower ever made! CHEAP!

  • @Yahoodude830 Greek actually. That weapon saved Christian Europe and halted the Muslim blitz from the East.

  • @BlueDestinyUnit1 In those days Greek and Roman was basically the same thing. The Turks call them all Rûm, Romans, and their Balkan provinces Rumelia, land of the Romans. Greeks called themselves Rhomaioi, which means Greeks of Roman citizenship.

  • @DerBlitzStag Dug my mail and found this great reply. Thanks for the info sir. ^-^

  • @RkahkshiKZ

    well said,

empire total war requires shitty steam, i hate it

  • @RkahkshiKZ I agree :D

  • @RkahkshiKZ Well, I have to agree with you about the cavalry but it's my personal opinion that M2TW is better. you may think differently and I respect that

  • @RkahkshiKZ i think M2TW is the best then NTW, ETW and RTW

  • @RkahkshiKZ you should see nemisis in the roman empire. worst stradigy game ever.

  • Flame... THROWER!??!?!

    EPIC!

  • why cant they make games like this to xbox 360/PS3 WHY WHY WHYYYYY!!!!????

  • @gallant5k 2 reasons, both consoles with probably explode with such graphics, and controls would be awkward

  • @nukeboy14 i know i know...:(

But still they could atleast make some medival strategy games im just so sick of ww2 games...

Well maby when the new xbox comes out in 2012 (i think) i really hope i will be able to play this game on console one day with some uppgraded controller or something:)

I envy u for this game..

  • did anybodi know System requirements of this game????

  • @RkahkshiKZ i ment m2

  • @RkahkshiKZ so do you think mw2 is better than rome total war?

  • HELP! i have installed medieval 2 but when i try to install kingdoms it comes up saying 1.03 cannot be applied 1.00. I did what it said on FAQ by uninstalling medieval 2 and then reinstalling it but when i try to install kingdoms it still comes up with the same damm message. Also i played on my old computer but i cant on this one because of that stupid error. Some one help me please :)

  • Rome Total War is the best but you can't record your campaign battles!!!! it's a pitty

  • yeah !!!!! they have to make an medieval 3 or rome 2

  • @ismagrunge The just haveto.... if they don't I'll figure out where they are, and I'll start a fkin protest until I see them begin the making of it.

  • so...i've loved this franchise since shogun...and have everything up to empire, which i don't have. is it really that horrible? like, worth skipping? i consider Rome to be the best thus far...but haven't touched empire or napoleon...suggestions?

  • @dashidash No, its not worth getting IMO and I also loved the previous games. The mechanics just dont work good. I dont know about napoleon though, i haven't played it.

  • @RkahkshiKZ

Napoleon Total War: THATS WHAT I WANTED 2 YEARS AGO WITH EMPIRE!!!!!

  • lols, dunno if anyone agree with me, total war series doesn't have enough blood,

it will be cool to see the sands and grass turn red after a huge battle. Not just only on the shirt.

  • @RkahkshiKZ ya lol. Emprie was WTF. lol. the only way I can play it and have fun is with a mod that fixes so much of the game. I mean hell Empire didn't even have epic music like Rome or Med. for Empire I added in music. to fit the game lol

  • only what i like in M2 are the campaigns

  • rome total war is more fun then medieval 2 total war but empire total war should be better than both but instead it sucks the AI sucks and the soldiers cant even shoot and the reload is just wierd why whould you poke in the gun barrel for 1 minute? and some units take 40 seconds to reload and some take 5 sec but you cant take advantage of that because they have to use the fcking platoon firing drill!

  • @gadduste I would download Darth mod, for Empire total war it fixes so much crap. like all of it lol.

  • FLAMETHROWERS??????????????????

  • @RkahkshiKZ

if you think its shit you just dont like the era, the game itself is epicly fun, napoleon total war far exceeds empire tho

  • I didn't know they had flamethrowers in the time of the crudes WTFish :o face

  • @mockingbird3346 it's "greek fire" - a mix of pitch and fenugreek (or something like that). They were operated by a bellows blowing air through a tube but projected a flaming liquid similar to modern flamthrowers. The were only recorded a couple of times in Ancient Greek warfare, but in medieval times they were used to great effect on ships and seem to have been popular with the middle-easterners.

  • @mockingbird3346 be amazed what a lot of ppl don't know lol liek the First "laser" was used back in the BC days. think it was the country of Syracuse, they would use Mirrors to reflect the sun light and set Ships on fire with it.

  • do have to buy kingdoms to play crusades
