  • Oh, my God; what a music...!!!!

  • nice example of the melodic minor scale!!

  • Good sound quality!

  • I made to hear this song to a friend's daughter who's 17 and she said «They were genius!»

  • @TheItalianAtheist they ARE, because they still exist.

  • @Kingsmen1988 yes right, but she didn't know :-) anyway is comfortable that a 17 old girl can recognise great music if only she has the chance to listen to it.

  • Jimmy Page, Heartbraker solo ;) 4:42 watch?v=3DH64-QVOik

  • This is su-poyb!!

  • che cazzo di basso...

  • im 14 and id just like to apologise for how my generation has destroyed music

  • @crossan24 Don't worry. I'm much older and my parents also told me that 35 years ago. But we knew it was not true. Actually in your particular case, it is unfortunately. Sorry to say that. You must be an intelligent, sensitive guy. Good luck in the world of real music....

  • @levediagyermeke thanks very much :)

  • wow discover of the day

  • @infactable better late than never ;-)

  • Over a million and a half views for a great track and a single picture.

  • I love doing my homework to this.

  • thank you thank you , I have been wanting to hear this piece for years and never knew the name of it. It wasnt on the cd I bought of the album it use to be on. You just fed my ears.

  • Can anyone tell me how I can find the chords for flute for this piece?

  • dat bass

  • at 1.21 !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bach rules.

  • this song brightens the darkest day

  • It takes a true musical genius like Ian Anderson to sell this classical Bach composition to the rock audience of the 1970s.

  • just nice...

  • Glenn Cornick kicks ass.

  • This video cant have a dislike buttom

  • Ian Anderson....Martin Barre......dynamic duo...

  • AWSUMOSITY. That is all. =^..^=

  • I have a video where Led Zeppelin play bourèe!!!!!!!

  • I just saw this played on an Erhu, (Chinese fiddle). Search youtube for Bouree bettixiang1, It was absolutely beautiful!!

  • This is badass.

  • Has anyone ever spotted 2 things...1, Jethro Tull has 6 fingers on his hands on the album cover and 2, Wayward One by Alter Bridge was based on this song

  • @duderama71 I seriously doubt that the inventor of the seed drill is a part of this band.

You must be thinking of Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull is the name of the whole band ;)

  • @KnightofNiNI Yeah that's the one. 6 fingers anyway.

  • Smoke some weed, crank this up to 11, and have happy Snoopy dancing feet!

  • Probably the lamest comment in history!

  • but i can hear breathing, some sounds like improvising

  • @MrSportsnut100 thats what makes Ian Anderson who it is!! a brilliant musician!

  • @MrSportsnut100 He did that often, sometimes saying "yeah" in the middle of playing the flute, and probably to make himself sound even crazier.

  • good song still.

  • bourée = she's "drunk" in french.

  • .this man is so crazy.

  • Τα σπαει!

    They rock.so simple!

  • @elpinor2002 πεστα!!! :DDD

  • @elpinor2002 Πεστα!!:PP

  • *Orgasm*

  • Ian Anderson is god. I still listen to the early albums like Stand Up and Benefit and love his fllute playing. My favourite albums are Stand Up and Thick as a Brick. I got into these when i was just 14.

  • nice. Has a bit of a jazzy touch!

  • their the only reason male flutists exist

  • magnificant

  • amazing band, lots of talent, I'm still playing them on my hi-fi after more than 40 years! Nobody sounded like them and probably nobody will.

  • I'd love to see Peter Gabriel and Ian Anderson do a flutist duo.

  • I remember buying a flute many years ago just so I could try playing this son....bought the flute, but never quite got the song down....not even close.

  • 0:00

  • a different song but it's good

  • A big obssession for my brother during his teenage

  • This is off from the original studio version

  • I'm not even going to start the epic journey of finding Oltmat3bill's comment that everyone have been replying to. Damn the chat system is retarded.

  • May i suggest THE FUGITIVE from SOAR's album; medieval movie soundtrack, to anyone who loves this as much as i do

  • xxx

  • la perfección...

  • Saw the Aqualung / Thick as a Brick tour in Hawaii - one of the most incredible shows. One of the very best of the hundreds of concerts I've attended.

  • 2:13

  • Nobody before sounded like them; nobody after either.

  • @robertmacisaac Fairport Convention sounds like them enough to be worth buying "Liege and Lief" at least.

  • If you look at that picture long enough... it becomes 3D!! if not.. try taking another hit..

  • Que musica que hace este grupo... increible!

  • Good driving music

  • Bach and roll, baby!

  • @backyardstudios96 ha. You're awesome :)

  • it reminds me the soundtrack of the old movies with knights on it!

  • Last night I had a dream where I tried to play the flute for this. Wasn't quite as good as Ian Anderson to say the least...

  • Ian Anderson = absolutely amazing.

  • This is one of the greatest covers of all time

  • That is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF is this pish

  • brilliant song

  • Canzone breve ma meravigliosa.

  • @Henrietta20 Sounds like post hoc rationalization to me. Prog was about trying new ways to say things. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. A lot of the failure does sound sterile, but that is one thing you could never say about Ian Anderson and Tull. BTW, this is an arrangement of a JS Bach piece, so it is not meant to sound like rock.

  • ithink ilike this band more 'cause im a flute player too (:

  • someone said : Clive Bunker president....i love the drums here...

  • great bass line

  • this makes me so proud to play flute myself. even though I'm not THAT good but nevertheless <3

  • I can't believe all the fighting going on!Mellow out and just listen to the sweet sounds of Jethro Tull!!Do you hear that?!That's right, its called...... Serenity!!!:)

  • @rocpsr It "feels nice" for you to insult and degrade people over the internet? You are really a fine example of humanity. (That's sarcasm incase you couldn't tell.)

  • lol I look like star!I have big eyes with love inside

  • @rocpsr I can respect that. I just don't fancy the insulting manner in wich you expressed your oppinions.

  • @Darcizone Ok it feels nice for me but dont take it so personal,

  • This is so much fun to play on bass.

  • I'm 14 and i love Tull!

  • @Darcizone im just tired of people like you that say: IM 14 AND I LOVE THIS UNDERRATED MUSIC! you know it isnt about the age, it isnt about proving the other ones how different you are from the other teens.. so you dont have to feel so good for being 14 (cause im also 14 but i dont say it with no reason like you) and specially you dont have to say it to the others

so just listen to the song and dont be so proud of yourself

  • @rocpsr why are you such an asshole?

  • @MrPeguin666

    i dont know

  • @rocpsr The past way of life (around Jethro Tull debut period) was to be free of mind and soul, No one have the right to disturb your freedom. So GTFO you and your fagful "faultless reasons to be proud".

  • @rockmemanu sorry but i didnt understood this, i dont speak english very well

  • @rocpsr lol you're so angry. no one really gives a sod

  • @Darcizone i dont know what sod actually means but i see that your point was that nobady cares of what i think, but you know maybe someday someone will, that would be nice, but is nice to express opinions here too. it isnt that important that no one cares

  • @rocpsr I agree, every music video on youtube has some kid proclaiming and implying how he loves the music and how he is so rebellious going against the crowd.

Also, I disliked this video on purpose to see how many idiots make pathetic bieber/dislike bar jokes.

  • @MaximumPony so you would do something even more retarded (like dislike a jethro tull song) just to prove a point? You suck. You suck ass man.

  • [number of dislikes here][the worst insult you can imagine here].

  • 44 people dont like music

  • @DrFawz Yes, all those classic-music-hardliners. Some people have no open mind when it comes to music.

  • Dare to piss with a classical piece and wow this time its better than Bach could of ever dreamed of i think any how .

  • Super.

  • フォーキーな4ビートから、叙情にアグレッシブに!~イアン・アンダーソンのフルートが吠える、ジェスロ・タル初期の傑作バッハ風"ブーレ"

  • I have the original release album and when opened the jacket "stands up" What a bad ass album!!!!!! Still listen to it once every couple weeks.

  • I discovered progressive rock with this song. I won't never forgot this. Beautiful song. Then I heard Yes, Pink Floyd, Génesis, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, etc. What a beautiful music. I'm from Argentina

  • Ever listened to this recorded backwards? riddles of the universe within...anyway, yer Ian played this again 2 nights again in Slough...Still got...though I do miss his hair & the 'Dandy Tramp attire'...

  • best band in the world. listened to them all my life.XXXXX.

  • i have to play this on my flute for a solo contest!

  • Bello.

  • genious

  • listen Bourèe and wayward one of Alter Bridge please.....plagiarism?

  • Thumbs up if your listening to this through your nose.

  • Pure Genius, Always have loved Mr. Andersons music. Rennaisance!

  • accidenti se lo è.. ma il flauto come disse lui in un'intervista "è tutto e senza sono niente" ^_^

  • jan anderson l'unico vero menestrello degli anni 70 (i miei anni preferiti

    musicalmente parlando)

  • Amazing bassline.. Anderson withouth his flute is nothing..

  • @MetalOnion il grande jan non è solo un flautista ma un musicista poliedrico e completo

  • @MetalOnion Disagree - he's got probaly the most disctinctive and amazingly expressive voice in history of rock music

  • @jezkn I told about this song... I wrote this 2 times..

  • 43 people like justin bieber

  • I love this song. The album as a whole is a masterpiece, but this song is great and beautiful.

  • I have to admit, as much as I love the band and the music they make... I always have to think about the Tetris theme whenever I hear this song.

"I am the man who arranges the blocks that keep falling down from up above.."

  • amo Ian Anderson et Jethro Tull! multas gratias pro haec pellicula, sum tibicen quoque.

I love Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull! Thanks for the video, I'm a flute player.

  • Just heard it on the radio this afternoon on a tiny radiostation in Belgium (classic 21). The older you get , the less chance you get excited by a song. Well, i´m glad i´m struck by lightning once again, although it was a long time ago.

Come my friends and experience this masterpiece. It sounds very much like Focus and Brainbox, or maybe it´s the other way around haha!

  • @Raphaelo30 Raphaelo, I am in California and hear none of the sixties or early seventies songs on the so-called "Classic Rock" radio stations. I come to youtube to look up the sounds of my youth. I was 13. "Stand Up" was my favorite album growing up in Germany.

  • @suzys11 Hi Suzy, nice to hear. I recommend the Dutch classic rock station called Arrow. They play real classic rock songs, not only the so called middle of the road, popular tracks, but also the rare, more unknown tracks. Such as this piece of Jethro Tull. Look at arrow.nl and follow the rock item. There you can listen live, convince yourself :) And if you know more of this good music, please do tell me! Greets, Ralph.

  • @Raphaelo30 I did reply via gmail. For everyone else, I've put a link to the Dutch station on my OLD computer. Can anyone access my fav's lists if I'm visible publicly???

  • Raphaelo , may I suggest....TUBULAR BELLS. I believe this was the beginning of "new age" music. (Mike Oldfield)

  • @Raphaelo30 suzys11 should check out "SuzyQ" by CCR !

  • @kewlbreez77 It's on my fav's list. I can't remember how many years people insisted on calling me suzyq

  • Why the picture changes a little again and again after 3 sec?????

  • @0ltmat3bill if you play the video backwards you can see the devil :D

  • @ultimativeusername and how the fuck did you watched it backwards

  • @iivviicca fun isn't your first priority, is it?

  • @ultimativeusername where's the funny part ?

  • @0ltmat3bill because this music is drugs

  • @Snakbratsch agreed :D

  • @0ltmat3bill LOL!! it's because the picture used to make the video was looped at 3 second intervals to run the length of the song, i think most movie movie maker programs do that for stills

  • @0ltmat3bill It's the picture's small attempt to move to the beat

  • @MegaDhproductions hahahahahahahahahahahahaha : epic!!!!!!!!! :D

  • @0ltmat3bill Stare at it long enough, and Barre blinks, Clive's fingers move, Ian's thunbs thwiddle, and Glenn's spectacles slide down his nose.

  • @0ltmat3bill video compression

  • @0ltmat3bill You are high! (JK)

  • like a dream!

    rollercoaster in the sky...

  • I usually don't stray too far from my Opeth, At the Gates, Lamb of God and such, but this is actually pretty good stuff.

  • @MrMike0113 I love opeth. Actually my mp4 is 60% opeth and jethro tull . One of my dreams is have a band with influence of that both bands XDDD , you have to hear more jethro tull stuff, if You didn't.
