@gavinjamesaitken1 i have no experience with this keyboard so i assumed that the bass was created or sampled from one voice, the hats one one midi channel, the resonant bass voice on another midi channel and so forth. it's pretty easy to do on a nord. people make mistakes, deal with it.
@disconnect4 2 different machines from 2 different era's? How can you compare them.. This is an oldschool synth with less sample functions etc. than a nord has. Also it's not a keyboard, a synthesizer. Like I said, it is a very good and flexible one too!
@Synthdude13 well i had an ensoniq esq-1 from '86 where you could assign a different midi channel to all the separate voices. so you could essentially layer the 'synthesizer' voices to create different patterns via an external sequencer.. i guess i misunderstood the capability of this roland machine. you don't think that's possible with the 106? it would seem unlikely since most of all the synths i've had were capable of assigning different midi channels per voice for better polyphony.
@disconnect4 That could be true, but the sample system of a roland from the 80's is different to a Nord. This is an analog synth, nord is a digital one or virtual analog.
@Synthdude13 Its a mix between digital and analog synth - it has digital Oscillators that send their Signal to a DAC and then to an Analog VCF... Brings the advantage to be pitch-stable.
Juno-106 what can I say. It is a sound which is in the collective memory of humanity because it is used for more than 20 years now extensively. Great Techno vibe. With a bit of fx and compression used you've a great tune.

yes i programming ALL Sounds on Juno 106 and record each single sound with my Audio interface.
I create Samples from each single record & arrange the Samples in my DAW - FL Studio !
i put little Reverb and Delay on the Samples , Thats all :)

Aren't the oscillators actually analog...but digitally controlled analog where the digital control keeps the oscillators from drifting out of tune?
