  • where is the voice?

  • Gran serie de los 80s

  • @jorgealbertobaron Es de los 70s amigo.

  • Hey, it's Mickey from the Our Gang/Little Rascals!

  • ouha quel souvenir

  • I liked it more without the singing..

  • "don't do the crime if you can't do the time"

  • Robert Blake was the coolest!

  • No singing ? Where's Sammy?

  • @farnumbp It was no singing in the first season.

  • THIS S!@# IS FIRE!!! WOW!!! I LOVE IT!!!

  • Robert Blake AKA Baretta Was found Innocent.

  • monte6714, It's the same crap that is on today, you just aren't young enough to remember

  • I AND ALL OTHERS WHOM WERE FROM THAT GENERATION KNOW WHAT THE REASON IS, BUT MOST PEOPLE TODAY ARE TOO BUSY WORRYING ABOUT OFFENDING OTHERS!

  • Hey! Where's Sammy Davis, Jr.? "If ya can't do the time, then don't do the crime!" "Keep your eye on the sparrow!" Okay? Okay!

  • Robert Blake and Charlie Sheen would balance out a see-saw.

  • Is he still in prison?

  • WOOOW.... that's music... that's EVERYTHING!!

  • IS THAT BIRD STIL ALIVE ????

  • ,,thats a good question, it could still be, you know those birds live a long time.

  • Shut yo mouth!

  • Shouldn'ta iced his wife.

  • Sammy singing the theme...

  • carlos te acuerdas ? aaaaaaaaaaa que nota de programa

  • worth seeing on tv

  • So, Keep Your Eye on The Sparrow...or Robert Blake as the case may be.

  • @ParataxicD born Mickey Gubitosi was part of the little rascals. Also played a little mexican who sold Bogie a winning lottery ticket in Treasure of Sierra Madre (1948)!

  • I love it, how these shows can put you right back in those times..The memories : )

  • Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

  • @reno93535 Blake's did the crime and now he's doing the time

  • A trilha sonora é cantada por Sammy Davis Jr. !!!

    Ivan Bocalon

  • PRESENTADA EN VENEZUELA POR CVTV CANAL 8, EN 1976 ,HOY EN DIA LA PORQUERIA DE VTV CANAL 8 BOLIVARIANO. VENEZUELA

  • Thanks Robert for to enter in millon homes!!!!

  • " this is Baretta from the 13 th precinct " stick em up!

  • Never got into the "Barreta" character -- the rock song theme was damn good, but "Toma" was a much better show.

  • And after the intro song....the ever famous....tonights episode McMillans Wife Strips for donut money.....I loved the names of the episdoes

  • First season intro. Sammy Davis Jr's vocalized version didn't appear till the 2nd season of the show

  • Is this a foreign version, is that why Sammy Davis, Jr. isn't singing the intro?

  • classic show..

ha babe..dont do the crime if you carnt do the time....

  • look; leave robert blake alone; he's trying to go on with his life--and he has been through so much--and he doesn't want anyone bothering--or hounding him--bonnie blakely was a real scumbag--and he did not kill her--someone else did--and he's probably still suffering inside--he didn't murder her--he might or might not have known who did it--else he would still be locked up-give it a rest!

  • Yes he did. But she deserved it. I woulda offed her too.

  • So did he killer? I heard he is locked up somewhere. Id say now he is still acting in some jail, but this time its to a captivated audience. Lol.

  • No He Did Not! But Simpson Did. Just Leave Robert Blake Alone! But Kick Simpson In It's Stupid Face. Question: Why Does Simpson Have A Face,Anyway?

  • As I keep watching these shows on You Tube, I feel do damn old! Yes, I remember watching this as I am getting very close to 50.

  • And keep your eyyyyyye on the Sparrow!

  • That remembers me my childhood, i love the 70's style music. :)

  • OJ murdered his wife, and Blake did the same. They got off, but will ultimately pay a price

  • from what I heard, If Blake killed his wife he did the world a favor. she was a real scumbag.

  • @kdraper2007

    Murder is murder.

  • @kdraper2007

And you really don't know if she was a scumbag or not. the media and mag's are full of sh*t just like the Nat Enquirer

  • Blake didn't kill his wife anymore than OJ killed his..........

  • The 1970's had great TV. And how about those theme songs. Just as great and wonderful.

  • @ErichH68 True. Too bad all the musicians and talent disappeared off the face of the earth about 15 years ago

  • @ErichH68

Very true. The best themes ever.

  • A big fan of Robert Blake and the movie Electra Glide in Blue.

  • robert blake had nothing to do with his wife's death-okay? also; he was one of the ;little rascals-he was born micheal gubitosi. on the little rascals--he was mickey! he is a great actor--stop with the negtive shit--he suffered enough-okay? But baretta was the best thing he ever did--and back in the 70's me and a friend-named elaine rhinehart--had a mad crush on him--and we actually saw a few shows filmed in downtown LA back then--he was a hunk--back then!

  • @melollylolly He is an asshole

  • Was he one of "The Little Rascals"? I heard that he was.

  • Yes he was the character known as Wife Killa.

  • that broad was worthless - no great loss to society and who did it probably did us a favor

  • Mickey on Little rascals

  • Sooner or later that SWINE Cunt Bonnie lee bakely would've "Bought it" from ONE of the hundreds of Old men she Fleeced for their Life savings..she was NO great Loss to ANYONE!

  • Blake is a hell of an actor, always has been. Bonnie Lee was a pig, con artist. Bottom line, the guy was lonley and got sucked in. I am sure many of the men she conned cheered when she got whacked.

  • Must be Maradona

  • O.J. Simpson Killed His Wife! Robert Blake Did Not!! Simpson Is A Jackass!

  • Is this the same Robert Blake that got his wife killed in the early 2000's.

  • robert blake had his wife killed by a hitman

  • What city is Baretta from? I always thought LA myself.

  • Looks more like an East Coast or Northern city. NY, Chicago, maybe Philly...

  • Bueno..Bueno...

¿Es cierto o no, que este "gueón" se "pitió" a su bruja... Pa`los que no "cachan" chilensis...

It`s real or not that guy had murdered his wife?

  • Yeah! We like to sing don't do the CRIME if you can't pay the FINE now though...LOL...

  • um yeah...thank u

  • This intro was from the first season (1974-1975); a vocal version of the intro (by Sammy Davis Jr.) began with season 2. The song's title? "Keep Your Eye on the Sparrow".

  • Was that a gto with keystone rims? That look is still happening today.

  • I always remembered that bird at 0:25,

I think I remember some episode where someone killed it and cooked it and Baretta was screaming

"You ate the best friend I ever had!"

  • Oh man I remember that. Weren't the just spoofing Baretta, and he was fine at the end of the show? God that was 36 years ago. LOL

"And that's the name of that tune." Baretta always had some cliche answer to everything.

  • You're probably right about the bird, I really don't remember,

like you said it was 36 years ago.

  • "Aim for the head if you want your wife dead"

Think Robert Blake got inspired here?

  • sammy davis really killed with this jam..

  • These shows where entertaining not like the crap on TV today!

  • @monte6714 AMEN Monte!

  • Always loved the intro....caw..caw...caw..caw..caw..caw..caw..

  • He seems so nice.

  • Don't go to bed with a price on your head.

  • Blake's an arrogant asshole (and quite possibly a murder) but this was a very good show, and a great theme.

  • Say what you want abt Robert Blake, but Baretta was the show (maybe better than Starsky and Hutch)

  • loved this show, any chance of the end credits instrumental theme to series one. thanks

  • Great Show, too bad he ended up murdering his wife.

  • This used to be called "Toma"which was based on a real life police officer in Chicago. I forgot what the theme song was like though.

  • yeah he Toma came to are school La Jolla High and talked about his life . this was back in 84..

  • anyone remember an intro for this show where baretta is dressed as a little old lady in a door way then he suddenly wades into this crook! i havnt come accross that yet.

great titles and music. fab show.

    ATV midlands UK

  • this was one of the best cop shows on tv!!!

  • Anyone remember the episode when he says "let the good time role"?

  • amazing song

  • "Keep your eye on the sparrow, when the going gets narrow." I took that advice and it always worked well.

  • Where is the version with Sammy Davis singing???

  • Originally, the theme was instrumental. Sammy recorded vocals later. By the way, this show was a retooling of "Toma." That show was about a real-life cops who used lots of disguises.

  • I love Sammy Davis Jr. but I prefer the orig.

opening of Baretta(this one). To tell the truth, the first season was the strongest of the entire series run.

  • Where's the singing??????? Gotta have the singing!

  • I can just remember that the opening theme of the show was this instrumental with Sammy Davis Jr singing only during the end credits.

  • Nope, Sammy Davis didn't sing the lyrics to both the opening and closing credits until S2.

  • I liked his cockatoo, Fred. Baretta called him his chicken, and you can take that to the bank!

  • THE SONG NEEDS SAMMY!

  • great TV serie

only I dont want his car

  • Where are the lyrics? Did the theme come first?

  • In the first year the theme was instrumental. Composed by Dave Grusin. I like it better without the lyrics.

  • barreta teim!!!! carajo que atorrante ese enano culiau y el loro !!!!! jajajajaajaj

  • Haven't seen this about 1979. I remember it being on late sunday nights when I went to bed for school the next day.

  • well if you move to sweden you can see it on the sundays night ^^

  • Book me a ticket right now! I'm movin to Sweden.

  • Is the Universal Televsion retained at the end in Sweden?

  • Awesome ... nothng says 70's like Baretta and Sanford & Son!
