There still is racial discrimination, only reversed. Besides, Apartheid was not like Nazi Germany. After all, your idol Mandela went to University under that regime. Blacks had the best living standards in the Apartheid SAR of all countries in Africa. Apartheid was also thought of as temporary.

@leostomicek why would you compare employment and housing among whites and blacks when you know full well that before 1990, it was extremely difficult for blacks to get good jobs whereas whites in South Africa were effectively already a middle class community like in the developed world with good jobs and education available. The result was that almost all blacks before 1990 were in poverty but now that Apartheid has ended, the black middle class has grown rapidly.
