@BIonIkLinK I'm pretty sure I stated my wear of the beanie before having dreads in another video and that being the cause for the shape, so that's old news. Bum hair is greasy, mine is not. Notice the difference? (grease vs no grease).

If you watched my latest video you would notice the pointlessness for your comment. I didn't shave, I combed it out.

Why do people even bother to get dreads the neglect way instead of using a comb or twisting with beeswax. I have got my dreads by getting them twisted and they lock quicker, with the neglect way it takes 4EVAR

@MrDavisdavis plus its just the natural way....the way it was done before. its not artificial. neglect is nicer anyway. i got them back combed and palm rolled but i let my ends loose and am now not entertaining to let it form naturally ...... but i wont be forgetting to separate my dreads!

@d123shehata As my videos say in the descriptions - didn't ripp, washed it every 2-3 days which is more often than most people. So, it wasn't unwashed.

Nowadays when I don't have the heavy dread on my head I wash my hair twice a day and much less water and time is being spent on hair.

Maybe you could try what I did. When ever I took a bath my hair would form into little groups. What I did was to leave the groups alone and just kept separating them if they grew together. Each formed a lock and the only thing I now do is wash my hair every 3 - 4 days. No wax,twisting,turning or shampoo or anything else. Just soap and water.

I've been thinking of seperating my unidread because it takes an hour to wash it and an hour to blowdry. If I don't blowdry it stays wet for 15h.

Indeed, went neglect because it felt like the most natural way to go.

The reason I started the locking process was because I didn't feel like combing and cutting my hair any more. In time that resulted in dreads which then became one big dread.

I wash with a liquid soap females use to clean "down below" so that soap is mild to the skin and dread. No residues. The soap is however too thick so I mix 1 third soap and 2 thirds water in a bottle used for spraying water at flowers.

That way I can get to every part of the scalp.

You use conditioner? Does your hair smell like shampoo after you wash it? If yes to any of them then you'll have trouble getting it like me.

Conditioner and scented shampoo seems to loosen up the knots that make dreads.

Running your fingers through your hair also qualifies as combing.
